Chapter 288: Rena The Paper Human
From a distance he can see industries with large chimneys spewing smoke.
He also saw people riding beasts and birds. Some in carriages and some flying.
[Welcome to Underground Valley]
"This city used to be a village but a certain player developed it to this level!" Eda said.
"This is where GEST headquarters reside. We owned half of the city!" Skylar added.
"You have a lot of secrets. The guard shouldn't have allowed you to enter but they did" Greenvein changed the topic.
"Oh, they investigated the cart. They saw you and also the things I carry. Through projection!" Seth said.
"This cart is that good?" Eda asked.
"You bought this in an auction, right?" Skylar asked and Seth nodded.
"I have something similar but it didn't transform like yours!" He said.
"Well, I know how to nurture things!" Seth shrugged. To their astonishment, Seth wasn't held at any check points by any NPC, only players.
Soon, they reached Gawee Escape Special Team headquarters. Seeing he was not trying to follow them, Skylar asked, "Aren't you coming with us to meet more players!"
"Nah. I will roam the market with my merchandise before I leave. I got things to deliver very far away from here!"
"But your teams are here. The Hourglass." Greenvein said.
Seth pondered for a moment and agreed. He walked from the front cart and automatically his attire appeared on his body. He came and met them checking their tools and attires that have returned to them.
He opened the back and a mini shop was established. Several yards of silk were assembled. Made by Sue the spider and also numerous dragon scales wrapped in different containers.
The scales look like the one dragons shade on their own.
"You have silk. How much!"
"One gold a yard."
Greenvein frowned as she said, "That expensive."
"Haha. Not really, what colour do you want!"
"Green!" She said. Seth immediately pulled out a yard of green silk and handed it to her, for her to check its grade.
The moment she held it, she was astonished. "This!"
[Green Silk]
~Grade 1
~Category: Gawee Spider Silk
~Use: Extremely durable. Self cleaning. Temperature control.
[This spectacular silk was crafted by Sue in Seth Factory]
_____
"You have a factory?" Skylar asked.
'True to what Dream Fortune said, Seth Enoch is very resourceful.'
"Of course!" He removed some veil and they saw a small complex container, in it was a spider busy weaving her web."
"Hello Sue" Seth said to the spider before he said to the group, "That is Sue. A Silk Weaver and Skilled tailor. She made those white outfits you saw me in!" Seth explained.
"How much?" Skylar asked but immediately the spider bare its fang and the whole Gawee Cart forcefully closed, including the mini shop Seth opened.
"Oops. She is not a slave. She is my companion!" Seth said.
The group then went into one of the skyscrapers. Seth has never been in one of those buildings in the real world but he was smart enough to not show his ignorance.
They reached the middle floor and met with a flurry of activities of different NPCs and players.
Seeing Skylar, many were smiling and they dragged him away as if they had been waiting for him.
Seth was taken to an office belonging to the Hourglass where he met Zero, a young dragon transformer and also the younger sibling of Rena the paper girl.
"Master Seth, welcome!" Zero said in surprise. They greeted each other before Seth settled down.
"How are the rest of the team!" Seth asked. The young dragon transformer laughed ruefully and said,
"Everybody got separated to finish their personal quests. Like Zambia, he still didn't get what he was looking for."
"Well, we all got things to do. How many months before we leave!"
"Aren't you counting?"
"It's hard to count!" Seth admitted and Zero said, "Around 4 months. By the way, what happened to your eyes? There was this red circle around your iris!"
That's when Skylar and Greenvein come in.
"It's Gawee Madness!" Seth answered.
The boy grasped what Seth meant. Gawee was super dangerous to the point it drives people insane.
"Master Seth, we would like to purchase more Silk. How many yards can we get!" Skylar asked.
"Not much actually. I think I only have 40 to 60 yards."
"We will take it all. Can it be turned into a normal shirt and trousers…"
A business conversation began and it lasted two minutes. He was given a style they wanted and its size.
Seth walked back to his cart with Zero as they discussed issues on Hourglass Team.
When they were alone Zero asked, "What do you think of Zambia!"
"What do you mean?" Seth was confused.
"He was very helpful to my sister but there were things that had happened and I was thinking about going on my way. The group is great and all but my potential will better being alone"
Seth didn't know where Zero was taking the conversation but he gave him an honest answer.
"Zambia is a good leader actually. He never loses sight of himself and the main mission. He is very reliable in that regard."
He said but he didn't elaborate that the man had tried to kill Yellow City.
Zero nodded but said "He is very possessive. He almost fights with everyone when they want to go independent to finish their quests and stuff!"
"Well, all leaders are possessive individuals!" Seth said before he changed the topic "where is your sister? I have something to show her."
"She hasn't long in" Zero said with some pain in his voice.
"Can she come? I really want to show her something. Tell her I made the greatest item in all of Gawee using her book!"
"Really,"
The boy seemed a bit interested in what was made and then he vanished. Minute later he came back.
Seth was still packing the yards and cutting them for the tailoring before he stashed them inside again for Sue to work on them.
"She is coming!" Zero said in a low voice.
Half an hour later, when Zero was checking the first batch of clothes a silhouette came out from the building. She looked pale, paler than she used to be and very frail. She moved as if the wind would take her away.
Clearly she was angry as she glared at Zero but she didn't say anything to him.
She looked toward the cart where Seth was standing and said, "Master Seth. How are you doing!"
Her voice was low as if it took a toll on her just speaking.
Seth almost jumped in fright as his head was buried inside the car while his body was still outside, he didn't see her coming. He pulled back and looked at her. His aura sight activated before he smiled,
"Damn. You scare me!"
There was sweat on his forehead.
"Why?" She inquired.
"Haha. Come, let's go into the building and I will show you something!"
Finishing with Sue, he brought out the Red Signature Book. Because he suppressed it, there was no aura leaking out. They then returned inside their office in the skyscraper.
Rena strengthened up and wanted to caress it. Seth didn't give her the book but held it while allowing her index finger to touch the cover where it said, Red Signature Book and below where it wrote Sascile Redone.
"Amazing. I can feel my paper inside but they are well meshed with something that forms incredible power!"
She caressed it more but Zero's eyes glowed as he stared at Seth and the book before he asked. "With the change of your eye, why didn't your aura change!"
Seth's eyes lit up as he looked at Zero with a smile, "Please check again" he was very eager to confirm!
Seth's aura surge and Zero stared at him for a moment before he said, "You look the same but your aura has become more…" he didn't know the right word.
"Don't mince your world. I really need to know. Did I tell you I almost lost control due to Gawee? I need feedback."
"It's more refined!" Rena said. She now was fumbling the cover page trying to feel something.
"How so?" Seth asked but Zero and Rena didn't have a better word for what they felt and saw.
"I thought it would be heavier?" Seth said to himself before he sighed and thought that aura behaved truly differently. 'I need to read more if I get time' but then he shook his head, he didn't have time.
"This spell book is strange. I can feel it was made by my BVP but it power is greater than what that should hold"
"That's what crafting means!" Zero explained, "Using different ingredients to form a single whole, greater than each of the items used!"
She nodded and said, "Amazing. It's really amazing."
She seemed to have recover from her dejected self and then Seth like a scammer and said, "Do you want to know the main ingredient after your book"
