Temporal Pearls

Chapter 287: Underground Valley

The 99% of his mental energy went to the Dragon Burtali Stele and only 1% aid the potion digestion in his body but Seth didn't mind.

He brought out the items before he carved on one of the ingredients which was a Strange Frames, he depicted different words that mean the 5 dragon king court he got stones from.

After that he assembled the frames and the stones and placed them on the Red Signature Book.

They fused and….

[You have created Contract Decree Spell]

"A Spell?"

Seth was confused but he didn't dally on that before he looked at the stele and sighed when he realized that he had spent 7 days digesting the Seven N'day Step Potion.

He gently stepped toward the Gawee Cart, his body blurred and he was in it.

"Thank you. See you in the foreseeable future!"

Seth muttered to the stele and Little Cub began to sprint forward.

The sun was already setting, and stars were appearing. When it was night completely the notification came.

[Congratulations]

[You have created Illusory N'day Steps]

[Your Pioneer title has become (A+) rank]

Seth smirked but he was too tired to check on that, even though he can use Moon Stigma and call upon blessings to recover but he didn't want to. His Will has healed but it was only at surface level.

He needed to feel very confident before he used another entity's ability.

Seth suddenly facepalm, he just drank unknown potion with no regard to consequence.

'I guess I was manipulated to make it so that my mental energy can be harvested.'

He concluded, which was exactly what had happened.

Deep in the night, Seth was asleep when he woke up due to the dragon roar close by. He looked out and found it was players fighting with silver scaled dragon.

He lost interest and he went back.

The cart was moving not too fast but soon he reached the entrance of the dragon.

Dream Fortune's voice softly spoke to him, "Do you have a place in your cart to take some people to Underground Valley!"

"Yes. Meet me outside the Burtali!" Seth said.

The moment he was out of the Burtali Seth jerked up and looked at the moon with a frown.

His heart was beating wildly, ''Is she going to invade me now that I'm weakened!" He wondered.

"Knock. Knock. Guests are here!" He heard a female voice from the outside. Seth peek out with a smile and said, "Oh, welcome. Come inside!"

The inside of the cart was rearranged to house many people. They entered awkwardly and watched Seth leaning on a lush smooth cushion and they felt a desire to touch it.

Seth scrutinized them all as he asked, "I don't know where Underground Valley is. You need to guide me!"

"You don't? Then how did you find Dragon Burtali!" Eda Eden asked.

Seth was taken aback and said, "I just came. Is there some requirement or what?"

The four people just stared at the ignorant boy before Eda said, "I forgot you are Moon Blessed traveler"

Seth smiled at her without commenting before he sat properly. There was a small table at the center, he placed a Soothing Guard and wooden cubs that looked like ceramics and a plate full of fruits.

"You won't find better water in Gawee!" Seth said as he poured some to himself and drank. He did that to calm them down.

They seemed agitated, as their boots, heavy backpacks, weapons and other tools disappeared when they entered.

They sat cross legged in the cart looking around warily.

Of course, the cart was spatial enough for them to stand, albeit they will bend a bit.

Kalang!

Kalang!

Bells began to chime and one of them began to frown. "There are numerous Gawee Beasts tailing us!"

A woman with green veins made a habitual motion of grabbing her weapon concealed inside her robe but remember it wasn't there.

"Don't mind them. They are my friends!" Seth said casually.

"You tame Gawee Beasts?" Skylar asked. He was the leader of the group.

"No. But they have been following me for ages now. I'm used to it. They never attack though, so I ignore them!"

Seth answered while he took a single fruit from the table.

"That is a dangerous attitude. Gawee Beasts are smart, they can bid their time and attack when one is vulnerable." Skylar commented

Eda Eden added, "True. It might also be someone or something making them tail you!"

Seth frowned at her comment before he nodded. "Don't worry. This cart can take beaten from Menos with less problems. Also, it was evolving to Grade 2, artillery function will be available!"

Eda stared at the fruit as she smiled. "I wonder, who are you in the real world."

"Just average Joe!" Seth said.

"Every rich kid in an automated bunker will say so!" Greenvein commented as she took a mango fruit and fumbled it around before she took a bite.

"Nightmare Forest fruit. It has the highest nutrients and spiritual property!" She said with a smile on her face.

"Spiritual?" Seth asked and she nodded.

"You won't feel it until that is your speciality!"

Seth nodded, "Interesting!"

"Can we get our weapons back? What if we were attacked and needed to protect ourselves." A man with stone scales asked. He was the least comfortable.

"Oh, it's inside the locker by the side!" Seth said. There were small lockers beside them, upon looking they saw a depiction of their items in the form of sketches.

"This Gawee Cart isn't for carrying people but goods. So, it has an inclination to store any items that are not in use. Like your boots and others." Seth explained, he had seen their unease but ignored it.

They watched the cart owner, he was in his white sleeveless shirt and white long pants. He has leaned back in leisure without a care in the world.

The stone scaled man tapped his locker and his weapon returned to him a relaxed smile appeared on his face. He held it and stared at their host.

When they were far away from Burtali, Eda handed him a map with a direction. Seth then moved and placed it at another smaller table by his side and leaned back.

"How fast can you prepare when attacked?" Eda asked.

"An attack that can kill me regardless of preparation is beyond me. But as long as I have a chance at full power then I have enough time!"

"You are quite arrogant!" Skylar said.

He was the one that followed Dream Fortune and he had seen Seth battle and his descent to madness before he escaped to Stele where they couldn't observe him.

"Haha!" Seth chuckled, "I'm not arrogant. Far from it. But this is a game. We are meant to enjoy ourselves!"

"Sounds like a rich brat!"

"Hahahaha." Seth burst into laughter. Some lonely tears rolled down from his eyes. He managed to calm down after some time.

"Wealth has nothing to do with my attitude. Certainly if people keep thinking wealth creates an illusion of safety in Gawee, they will be disappointed. How many rich folk lost their lives. How many poor lad lost their life. Many." Seth preached.

"Ever since my supposed home was…" He didn't elaborate, "I have been loitering from one sanctuary to another. Alone, weak, with no blessing but searching for fellow humans. I went to Red Valley first but the horrors there made me wish I didn't go. However, due to my rich experience I can finally relax"

"Gawee is strange. No amount of experience will guide you properly." Skylar snickered.

"As I said, it depends on the danger. Some danger can't be defended against, and preparation is useless. But some is manageable" Seth said nonchalantly. Not worried at all.

Kalang!

Kalang!

Seth stopped talking and checked the place he placed the map. He looked at them and smiled, "We have arrived!"

"What?"

"What?"

Eda and the rest were shocked.

"You must be mistaken!" Greenvein said but as they pushed the veil behind the cart they saw the entrance to the valley. Small shops were set and also some buildings.

Toward the valley entrance was a gate where there were guards that checked those who wanted to pass.

"Did we teleport?" Eda asked but she shook her head and said, "You are truly a blessed traveller"

"We have arrived safely!" Seth pointed out and they nodded.

Seth's mindset over the game has changed from playful to serious but he didn't know that his fear and dread was less than most people.

Traversing Gawee Land was always arduous and dangerous, so people were always on edge in fear but he was just casually enjoying himself. That's what shocked them.

The cart passed the stalls and reached the gate. "So, should we take out stuff now or the moment we go out they will be returned to us!"

Eda asked but Seth's attention was on a projector. He pulled it and they saw pictures of outside, the guards clearing people on the route for them to pass.

"Welcome to Underground Valley, sir!" The guard said with a gruff voice.

"Thank you, Captain Guard Millar." A herbal plant from Dragon Burtali appeared on the guard's hand as he allowed the cart to enter.

The view of the sanctuary made Seth sit and stared at it. It features long buildings, skyscrapers like the real world.

There were also cars, and vehicles of different kinds on the road.
