Chapter 35
C35 – Xu Linshan’s Last Exam
When Qi Ning returned to school on Monday, he discovered that Fu Nian had vanished.
His classmates mentioned that Fu Nian’s parents had taken care of his transfer early that morning. Likely due to his family’s influence, he had moved to Sigu High School.
This event barely made a ripple in Qi Ning’s life.
With just two weeks left before the college entrance exams, the final test came as expected.
Three days had passed since the exam’s conclusion.
Once Qi Ning had upgraded all his subjects to Level 999, he noticed a change in his abilities.
Qi Ning:
Learning Category:
High School Knowledge (LV 2)
Combat Category:
Fighting (Lv999)
Previously, all his skills had maxed out to High School Knowledge.
Additionally, he had acquired a new combat skill.
“Please select your AFK skill!”
Seeing only Level 2 High School Knowledge available, Qi Ning promptly chose to AFK.
[Ding! AFK mode engaged!]
With the system prompt echoing, Qi Ning accessed his skill.
High School Knowledge (Lv999)
As usual, his level shot up to Level 999 in an instant.
When his High School Knowledge reached Level 999, Qi Ning suddenly found he could comprehend many concepts that had previously eluded him.
Struggling to find the words, Qi Ning pondered the newfound knowledge in his mind.
“Now that I have five million yuan, maybe I should consider starting a small business?” he mused, contemplating which skills to learn next.
Even though he was limited to one AFK point per day, he could still reach Level 999 with each use.
Yet, Qi Ning had encountered a frustrating issue recently.
He had hoped to accumulate more AFK points when competition was low.
But he found that his AFK points would reset to zero every night at 23:59:59, only to return to one at midnight.
Upon realizing this, Qi Ning abandoned the idea of hoarding AFK points.
The system was still undergoing repairs. Facing a 999-year repair timeline, Qi Ning had no expectations of its assistance.
Nevertheless, the thrill of leveling up a skill to Level 999 every second was undeniably exhilarating!
“What skill should I choose today?” Today was the day the results came out.
Everyone seized the break to check their scores.
In the past, Qi Ning would have been the first in line to see his results.
But now, he had an inkling of what to expect. There was no rush.
With ten minutes to spare before class, Qi Ning casually strolled out of the classroom.
The scorecards were pinned up at the teaching director’s office door. As Qi Ning stepped out, he ran into the last person he wanted to encounter at school.
Cao Faang gave Qi Ning a mocking look and sneered, “You’re at the bottom again, aren’t you? You said you’d make me regret it, but I think Wen Shangwei is the one who’s going to regret it.”
Just then, Wen Shangwei emerged from the office, overhearing the exchange between Qi Ning and Cao Faang.
He chose not to interject.
He might not know the specifics of Qi Ning’s recent exam performance, but he had a hunch that Qi Ning hadn’t done poorly.
“Why the silent treatment?” Cao Faang taunted, observing Qi Ning’s expressionless face. “Is it because you were too overconfident last time, and now you’re afraid to speak up?”
