Chapter 1040: I Know One Person As Strong
Chapter 1040: I Know One Person As Strong
Beatrix was the winner of the previous Martial Arts Tournament, one that had taken place before Raze had entered. She was one of the fastest-growing warriors in history-extremely skilled and talented, to the point where she had become the youngest Elder of the Dawnblade Clan.
Many in the Clan had high hopes for her, and she was a standout person in the entire Light Faction. Perhaps in fifty years or so, she might even be the person to change the Light Faction upside down with how quickly she had grown.
She wasn't weak by any means, and due to everything happening around her, as well as the Dark Faction and Demonic Faction growing, she had to grow considerably fast as well. In order to help her, Ricar had supported her.
Using the top Qi pills created from the highest training power stones they had, and utilizing all of their portal expeditions and funds to increase her strength, Ricar knew that change was needed in the Dawnblade Clan for it to come out on top.
And it wasn't going to happen with the current Elders that were at the table. So he had put all his hope in Beatrix even though she was young. Now, he was witnessing the fruits of their labour as she drew out all of her power.
"Oh right?" Mosak said as he could see the large moon behind her. The glowing power in her eyes, as the Qi enveloped her. "Since we're not in the barrier anymore, both of us can use our Qi just as normal, right?"
"That technique as well, it's interesting. I've seen it before."
Mosak then came over. "It's a type of defensive offensive technique made by the Dawnblade Clan. Anyone who steps into your Zone can get pierced not just by the sword itself, but the Qi is sharp enough to create several swords of Aura to attack the person as well."
Mosak started to walk forward and then stepped right into the light circle. In an instant, Beatrix thrust her sword forward right at Mosak, who lifted his hand. Using only his hand, he knocked the sword away to the side.
However, at the same time as her thrusting the sword, from the visual moon behind her, several swords had seemingly appeared and were all thrust toward Mosak.
"Right, and this is the annoying part," Mosak claimed.
He pulled out both of his hands and started to move them in motion, knocking all of the strikes away, while Beatrix didn't let up and continued to thrust the sword as well as the aura in front of Mosak.
The attacks were coming non-stop, but Mosak, with just two of his hands, was able to keep up.
'It seems that the others weren't joking when they said that man is powerful,' Raze thought as he was observing the situation, kneeling down towards the ground with both of his hands on the floor.
'But... this power, I can feel her Qi. Is this the full power and extent of it... this can't be, right?' Raze thought as he continued to observe.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
He could see the strain on Beatrix's face, he could see every movement of the attacks of the sword and the aura. He was imagining himself in the same position as Mosak, and if he was in the same situation.
He would have been able to do the exact same thing. His hands would have been able to block every single one of the sword strikes, then at any time, venture in closer and strike her right in the chest.
Just as Raze thought this, he saw Mosak do that very thing. He had moved in perfectly, hitting all of the aura swords with one hand, breaking them. Then, with his yellow glowing fist, he punched her right in the chest.
The impact resonated on the other side, a ripple in the air, and blood dripped right out of Beatrix's mouth, causing her to fall to her knees in an instant. A single hit, and she wasn't able to fight back anymore.
There was one thing though: even though her hands had dropped by her side, she was still gripping tight to the Golden Globe in her hands.
"I really am going to have to pry this out of your hands," Mosak claimed.
It was then, while observing, that Raze started to think back. He started to remember all of his encounters with the Light Faction from before, and seeing Beatrix fighting just now-the power that he had seen, the fighting of the other beasts.
Were they not regular beasts on the island to begin with? Had Raze's strength really increased beyond what he had even envisioned?
It wasn't that those on the island he had met were weak. It was how much Raze had grown so much in an extremely short amount of time.
'The power that Belil gave me... it really did join with my own...' Raze thought.
"Honestly, you entertained me well," Mosak said. "You shouldn't feel bad, even if everyone was able to move and break free from the barriers, I still would have been able to defeat every single one of you. Even if you all teamed up like before, I would have gotten my hands on this item."
"I just wanted to let you know that it was wasted and in vain for you to protect this. No matter where it ended up, I would have gotten it anyway. You should all count your lucky stars that you are actually in those barriers. They're a pain to break, so I'll leave you all be for now." Mosak laughed and went to reach out to grab the Golden Globe.
"Hey!" Lince shouted. "You know, you shouldn't say things that you're going to live to regret."
Mosak raised an eyebrow as Lince said these words.
"There's one person I know that has a chance, and from what we've seen I'm pretty sure he's not going to let you get your hands on that."
Right then, all of the runes right underneath where Raze was lit up on the floor beneath him. The barrier lit up in a column around his body until it disintegrated, falling to the floor.
Raze was now free.
