Chapter 73 The Incredible Loot

The goblin chieftain's face turned from red to green, back to what it once was, and then his entire body suddenly vanished, pixelating into nothingness.

Jake fell forward, no longer having an opponent in front of him, and fell straight where the goblin chieftain stood once.

All the loot was right in front of him.

Myriad Arrows and Kierch also ran to see what had dropped from the boss that they spent quite a bit of time trying to defeat. The last boss they defeated, the cyclops, granted them a whole two epic items, and one epic grade material.

Surely this was going to be no less.

But there was only one item here with a purple glow. It was the black wood staff with the purple crystal on top of it. This item only dropped once, when the raid was first completed.

And the magic staff itself was worth a lot. The most common class that many took was a mage, with swordsman being a close second. With so many mages, getting a good Magic Staff was almost impossible, and yet Jake had got himself an epic grade one.

But it was not what interested him the most. Sure, it was worth a lot, and a mage from the guild could perhaps use it so that the guild could become stronger.

Still, sometimes, items weren't the only important things in loot.

He looked at the rare materials and items that were dropped without batting an eye, and he finally stopped when he laid his eyes on a piece of parchment.

Taking it up, he looked at what the contents were.

[Blue print for Rare Grade Named Set: Goblin Madness]

"Finally. This is exactly what we need." Jake said as he put it in his inventory immediately, as if he was afraid that someone would steal it if he didn't.

"You have an Epic Grade weapon in front of you and you are excited about some stupid piece of paper? What is wrong with your priorities?" Myriad Arrows shook his head.

"An Epic Grade item, you can always get sooner or later. But once you wait for a few weeks, you will see that items come and go. You can grow with even a rare set of equipment. But money, money you will need more and more." Jake said.

"What did you get there?" Myriad Arrows asked.

"A blueprint."

"A blueprint? For one of these named sets?" Kierch's breathing changed as he looked at Jake intently.

"Looks like you know how much they are worth." Jake chuckled.

"I paid almost fifty silvers to get this set of equipment. And if your named set is even close to mine, you can sell each set for the same amount. And that's just a single weapon, a single armor, and a pair of boots. Three items selling for fifty silvers. Which business man wouldn't jump on that?" he said.

"Ah! This is the time when I will have so much competition, with so many people having this idea already. I have to step up my game." Jake murmured to himself as he nodded.

"Well then, let us take everything in and see what we have to do."

Jake looked up in the dome.

[Raid: Goblin's Encampment!

Number 1: Bright Horizon .... 01:12:36]

"So slow. The cyclops really slowed us down a lot." Jake sighed.

He then looked at the rest of the guild.

"Alright. You have a few more minutes before we get kicked out of this place and back to the loading zone. Did you guys collect all of the equipment that was dropped?" Jake asked them.

Seeing the nods of many guild members, he also nodded back with satisfaction. Collecting everything that the goblin chieftain dropped, he looked up once again.

[0:00 left. Returning to loading space]

Slowly, the guild members in front of him started disappearing. Kierch and Myriad Arrows also disappeared, and then, he also felt the surroundings around him fade away, before he was greeted with the exact same appearance when he first entered the raid.

The same ruined building, the same forest around them, and the portal behind him and the guild. The rest of the guild members were also right next to him.

Ping!

[You have gained 1000 Karma for being the guild leader of the guild that finished the first raid!]

Ping!

[Do you wish to display your guild name to the rest of the world?]

Jake stopped for a moment. If he did agree to this, then the entire world would be looking at his guild and would try to swallow it.

But if he did agree to this, so many people would be interested in the guild, and he would be able to balloon to the lengths that he wanted to.

"Ah! Screw it. I can use the rush anyways. I need more people." Jake said as he tapped on the 'Yes' button.

[Displaying guild name throughout the world!]

Immediately, the entire world, quite literally, saw a singular message.

[Guild: Bright Horizon has finished the first raid in the game.]

It was a simple notification, but it meant so much. It meant that this was the first guild that was prepared to act like a guild, and had the capability to go on these expeditions that the new update was all about.

Even the guild members next to Jake saw this message, and they looked at each other, and then at Jake.

"The guild is being featured all throughout the world?" they asked, surprised and shocked.

"Congratulations people. We are now a part of the most famous guild in the world." Jake smiled.

"Well then. We are not done here yet. We finished the raid here, and now we have to start once again. Just a single raid won't cut it. We need to run it back again and again. Look at how many levels we are up. And the loot we collected." Jake pointed out.

The guild members nodded. They got a ton of loot from this, and casualties were low. This was definitely a good sign.

"The goal is to get that number below thirty minutes. I don't think you will face the cyclops again. This time, it'll be just you guys, without me, Kierch, and Myriad Arrows. If you can do this on your own, then you might get a good bonus after you reach the time goal." Jake said.
