Chapter 67 Loot
"Incoming!"
The tanks shuffled as they absorbed the blow, and were immediately pushed back. The first round of tanks returned to the front line, but they didn't have all their HP.
The occupation of a healer wasn't that popular, so the guild didn't have many of them. And now, with this one attack, they would die for sure.
As for the project of cutting down the leg, it was almost over.
Jake's sword shone as he struck down once again.
"Despairing strike!"
But there was only so many times that he could use the same attack. He couldn't use an attack like that endlessly.
Luckily for Jake though, he wasn't planning to. His eyes monitored the timer in his status. It was down to the last seconds, and the Cyclops was getting ready for another attack. If this attack went through, then their first line of defence would collapse, and so would morale.
He needed to do something now.
All of the attacking members used their best attacks, and from the other side, Kierch had done some damage. But they would need one final attack to completely cut off this leg. The Cyclops was regenerating some of the damage that they were doing, so they needed to do this fast!
Ping!
Jake's sword quivered as he dashed forward.
"Move, Kierch!" he said as his sword shone with a greater brilliance than usual.
"Slash of Hunger!" the sword sliced forward.
He started in front of the leg, and ended behind it. His sword half way in the sheathe. The path that the sword took clearly visible to every one.
Click.
The sword went into the sheathe, and all of a sudden, golden blood splurted everywhere. It was like time stopped until Jake completely sheathed the sword.
Roar!
The Cyclops roared, but it was a roar of pain, not of anger. The Cyclops' attack stopped half way as it fumbled, not able to gain balance.
It's right foot was completely taken out, and it started falling forward.
"Move! Do not let it fall on you! You will die without a doubt!" Jake shouted, warning his guild members.
"And remember. Do not take the final blow. Let me take the final blow. With the experience share, all of us will get the same experience even without the final blow, but if I take the final blow, the loot will be better. I have an item that makes the loot better." Jake warned everyone.
"Too bad, the Ring of Luck is in the store. I should have kept it on my person." Jake cursed at himself as he looked at the Cyclops, which now fell on the ground.
Thud!
[Critical Hit! -18000 HP]
The HP bar was now in the yellow zone, and the Cyclops was now rendered immobile. Sure, it was trying to get up, and it still had one leg, but would the players let it do that?
One by one, attacks barraged the Cyclops, and none of the guild members had any fear left in their eyes. Why would they fear a fallen target?
The HP bar was decreasing significantly now, as the defense of the Cyclops was slowly decreasing to none. Each attack was dealing significant damage, and the HP bar of the mythical beast was going down inch by inch.
The moment it slid to red, everyone stopped, and they looked at Jake.
"Don't worry guys. I am not taking away an achievement or something. I just want to get the best loot out of this beast. I mean, all of us tried so hard to defeat this thing, we want the best loot out of it, don't we?" Jake smiled as he stopped.
The beast was getting up.
"It is recovering! We can't let it get up. It's attacks are too devastating!" someone shouted, but Jake raised his hand.
"Don't worry, I got this." He smiled as the Cyclops raised its fist and threw it at Jake for one final attack.
"Reflect!"
The moment that the Cyclops hit Jake, the HP bar slid into zero, and it burst into pixels.
[Level Up]
Multiple items dropped on the ground, but no one dared to move. This loot was for the guild master, and no matter how much they helped, this was the unfortunate reality of being a part of the guild.
"I think that all of you collected the equipment from the goblins? The drops? If you haven't done so already, get all of it. The equipment that they dropped is one of three rare sets. Each one is better than whatever you have right now. Once we have a proper inventory, we will properly replace all the equipment you guys have right now." Jake said as he crouched in front of the remains of the Cyclops.
The tint on all the items that dropped was purple, except the one. And he expected that.
The Cyclops was a mythical monster that he did not expect to see in this raid, primarily because it wasn't supposed to be here in the first place.
Jake presumed that only the first clear had this Cyclops in it.
He looked back at the drops.
There were three Epic Items. One was an Epic Grade material, one was an Epic Grade thin sword, and another was an Epic Grade Hammer.
"Looks like I got insanely lucky today. The entire guild is going to benefit from this." Jake smiled as he took up the thin sword.
He glanced at Kierch.
"You asked for an Epic Item. Here you go. Should be enough for one of your swords, and if you do well, then you can get another sword eventually as well." Jake said.
"What about me? I want an Epic Grade item." Myriad Arrows' eyes twinkled.
"Do you see anything that you can use here?" Jake shook his head.
"Well this is good for Infinite Pines. Now then, let us start moving. The raid isn't over yet! This is not the final boss! The final boss is inside! Come on! Move it!"
