Chapter 62 The Guild Gathering
Jake walked forward, and the huge crowd of five hundred odd people stood there, staring at him.
He walked in front of everyone and smiled.
"Today is the first time that the entire guild has gathered together. I am sure that most of you are confused regarding the blacksmith division." Jake said with a loud voice, silencing everyone there.
There were a few nods from the left side where all the players from the grinding session a day ago stood. They glanced at the buff people to their left and looked at them with contempt.
Which warrior wouldn't have contempt toward an auxiliary profession?
"Alright. This division is the Blacksmith division, led by Infinite Pines. And I suggest that all of you guys understand that you are going to rely on them. For one, you should understand that all of you are now going to be outfitted by this very blacksmith division that you rolled your eyes at."
"What you heard is right. All of you are getting new equipment to replace your normal items. Every single person will have a set of Rare Grade equipment. Now then, Infinite Pines will take over." Jake said, and Infinite Pines, the ferocious looking man that he was, regardless of how he felt inside, took the stage. "
"We have around a hundred and fifty people in our division. Form lines in front of the blacksmiths, and we will be giving you the equipment that best suits you. And no, you are not going to be allowed to choose your equipment." Infinite Pines said.
"We are getting Rare Equipment? All of us? That is.." these people didn't know how to react. First, they got a bonus on their first grinding session, and then, they were being outfitted with rare grade equipment?
Jake smiled as he left the spotlight to Infinite Pines and left him to do everything. After becoming the leader of the blacksmiths, and spending some time in the forge, he got a lot of confidence.
"Ah! I ran all the way here to just say those two lines. Being a guild master is such a time consuming job." Jake grumbled.
He looked around and found Myriad Arrows in one corner, and Kierch in the other.
Thinking for a moment, he approached Kierch.
"Why are you standing still? Don't you want to go get some equipment? All of the guild members are allowed to get this, including you." Jake said, chuckling.
"I don't need that. I already have a set of Rare Equipment, and it is a proper set, with a few set features." Kierch said.
"You already got your hands on a named set of equipment? You really are the- I mean, I really made the right judgment of your talent." Jake quickly changed his sentence.
"Well then. Why did you call me here? The contract said that I would only come here if the guild was in trouble, or if we were going on a raid. Wait, don't tell me, we are going on a raid already?" Kierch asked.
"Already? Didn't you look at the latest update? This is the dawn of the guilds. Guilds will become more and more relevant. For the guild to grow, we need to make a name for ourselves now, don't we?" Jake chuckled.
"Where is the raid going to happen?" Kierch asked.
"Then why don't you go and get some equipment for yourself? With this, you probably have the worst equipment in the entire guild. Look at that rusty armor and sword. It looks demeaning for the guild." Kierch said.
"These? Trust me when I say this. I have much better equipment than you do." Jake smiled.
He then skipped along, going to Myriad Arrows.
"Who is that person? I don't think that I have ever seen him before. For him to get such special treatment? And he isn't even jumping in line to get the rare grade equipment like everyone else." Myriad Arrows asked.
"That guy is my second wild card. Two of my biggest cards for the guild. Both of you will understand each other when you go to battle, don't worry." Jake chuckled.
"What are you talking about? Why do you have to be so cryptic?" Myriad Arrows asked.
"No reason. It's just fun. Don't you think as well?" Jake smiled.
"You seem so different right now. You seem so... happy? Just what happened? Why are you so joyful today? Skipping, smiling, something really good must have happened today." Myriad Arrows asked.
"You are absolutely right. I got my hands on this great incomplete item and if I find the other pieces, then I will get in my hands a wonderful item that I can use, or maybe even give to someone I trust way too much." Jake said.
"Really? I don't think that you were this happy even when you got that Epic Grade Item that day. Don't tell me, is it a legendary grade weapon?" Myriad Arrows asked with a hush voice.
"Don't be stupid, Myriad Arrows. Why would a legendary item appear right now." Jake shook his head.
And he wasn't wrong. Posiden's trident wasn't a legendary item. It was a divine one, a weapon of the gods that was a different type of item than a legendary one.
But even Jake didn't know enough to know the true differences. He only knew that they were different in some way.
The fact that divine items existed wasn't even known to the public yet, and it would be revealed a few months later, when a Raid Location would open because of the expeditions.
"Ah! Looks like the blacksmiths are super efficient. Days of just managing their time to make us as much equipment as possible must have honed them. Look at that! They are already done." Jake smiled and left Myriad Arrows side before he could ask any more questions.
