Vampire Nightlife

Chapter 153 Trouble In The Street

There was a small problem that Rhealusvya encountered while traveling around the city of Nyx and it was this: She couldn't find where Aurelius had gone.

"To be fair, I don't even know what he looks like at all!" Rhea lamented, but then couldn't help but chuckle. "Ah, it means that Lukas gave that order without thinking about it at all. I wasn't present when it happened, but I should have noticed right away too."

It only went to show that they were not infallible beings.

Even when it seemed like Lukas was capable of outstanding things and achieved much during the time that she had met him–this still meant that he was not perfect.

"So it means that he's not completely in control and such." Rhea said. "Well, he is unaware of some things already, I know that much… that it might just end up bad for me if he does realize what's missing."

The Dream Eater was impressed by how much Lukas had improved in terms of controlling dreams. He was able to change the landscape in his own mind with much ease and even managed to change the dreams of Chaerin when he was there.

"... I should still at least try to fulfill the orders he said. If I can't find this Aurelius boy then I need to find something noteworthy to discover."

Rhea then started to fly more speedily through the air, crossing through crowds of Vampires and even across the buildings in search of something important.

"Ah, this place is filled with so many people that it's hard to know what might be useful." Rhea complained.

As she flew back and forth, she didn't seem to notice or rather had ignored entirely the Vampire van that traveled through the road. Or tried to travel.

It was actually just one of the few and rarest vehicles that were available.

If Rhea had realized that, then she might have ended up noticing some things that were amiss, and even some individuals, that were actually people that Lukas might have noticed straight away.

"Ugh, there's not a lot of cars but the foot traffic is terrible. This isn't like Lux at all." Alexei complained as he stared out the window. "Who even chooses to live in this place?"

"A lot as you can see." Stacy dryly said.

While the two Vampires could have accompanied Lukas and Chaerin to meet her relatives, Theodore didn't want them out of his sight.

And it really would have been weird for Stacy to go with them to their family meeting.

She didn't know what to expect out of it, and it wasn't her business either.

"Nice sarcasm, Stace." Alexei said. "But yeah, huh, it kinda does seem like only the Hunters Association had cars along with the Overlord but not really other people eh? I thought people would want more cars in this city but that wasn't the case."

"The production of these vehicles is something hard to manufacture from what I heard." Theodore decided to say, hand clutching the steering wheel tighter. He had noticed something in Alexei's words and while he didn't quite like it, there was a certain point in them.

"And you might only need them to travel from one place to another, but there's–"

Before any other words could be changed however, a sudden large honking sound erupted.

It was a furious and nonstop sound that tried to pass through the Vampire traffic.

"See! That seems like they're driving for style purposes only." Alexei pointed and whistled to the car that was in the road opposite of theirs.

While the van that Theodore drove, and the ones that Hunter Association used were meant for a lot of Vampires to be squeezed together while they went on missions–the other car was aesthetic and only meant for city driving.

Lukas might have been able to identify it if he had seen it.

It was a beautiful and luxurious type of car that had no roof, and exposed the driver and its passengers in the open.

Three beautiful Vampire women were present, two giggling together at the back while the one at the front almost seemed to scream road rage at the foot traffic in front of them.

"Out of the way!" she called out and her voice was far more effective at clearing the people out of the street than the horn.

There was a certain power exuding and it made the people quickly move to the side along with the rest within the group.

While Rhea was more of someone who could sense people's strength in how they functioned in their dreams, Theodore and the Vardoken siblings seemed to see that the three people in the convertible were special.

"... they're most likely trouble." Theodore muttered to himself.

It was something that Stacy and Alexei didn't understand, but they recognized that there was a certain affinity with them. It was the same feeling that occurred when they had met Elias for the first time.

And for Stacy, when she had met Serena Weisse too.

"They're from a noble bloodline, and yet they're acting like some delinquents." Alexei made a face. It was clear to him that they were attractive, far more than other Vampires he had met but their demeanor was just annoying to him.

Alexei didn't want to admit it, but people in the city of Lux loved and respected Serena Weisse.

Even while Alexei didn't personally enjoy attending gatherings in the city, the people that Alexei sometimes hung with had expressed how majestic and regal Serena was.

Actually, the guy they met earlier at the immigration bureau too also had that quality that made you want to respect him. Alexei thought the guy was cool, even though he tried to hate people with power.

Either way, comparing it with the three women now made them seem more like brats.

Which became more clear when the Vampires noticed the van that Theodore was driving.

"Hey!" The two girls at the back called out and tried to pull them over.
