Titan Rising Online: World Breaker

Chapter 264 264: Part 1: The Glade Wars IX

Suffice to say that nobody wanted to let Cole through, in fact the moment he introduced himself, hoping that perhaps at the very least a little bit of fear would make them back off due to the reputation he had, but instead they attacked, all of them without even so much as exchanging words with him, or caring about the fact that there were other aspirants around, they all just went on the attack.

It caught Cole off guard, he stepped back, ducking under a sword beam that was heading for his neck as he jumped up, a black volcanic rock spike shooting out of the ground in an attempt to skewer him. [Gravity] wrapped around his body as lightning struck from the sky, and he kept the bubble around him as a duo of massively built men, teleported in front of him and smashed Warhammer the size of their bodies into his [Gravity] bubble. He was blasted backwards and into the air, but he cancelled the skill, and brought himself to a halt mid air.

Cole pulled out his spear, spun his body around then flung it, the power behind the spears move and the speed with which it crossed the distance was almost enough to cause a Sonic boom. The people dodged out of the way from the Spear's attack, but that was just one step in a two fold plan. Cole raised Black Malakai as he was coming down, flooding the blade with [Chaos Blast ] and energy once again, drawing all attentions to his glowing sword, it he activated a different skill.

[Root Cascade]

*BOOM!*

The sudden Explosion of the earth caught everyone off guard, and even more so when powerful roots began to pop out and stab into people. Everyone that made the mistake of letting the roots get lodged into their bodies, paid the price as their blood was drained rapidly, all of it funneled back to Cole, who kept receiving the influx of vitality and life with a smile. Safe to say the distraction he needed to get through had already been made, he felt and used Gravity to shoot himself past the defenders and into barrier, getting into the Eastern Glade as he grabbed his spear and dragged it along. Immediately he got through however, Cole went on the attack.

[Chaos Style: Black Demon Cut]

Cole swung, and he swung hard. The wind rushed past as tress, Darklings and people were ripped in half or to pieces all across his vision. The ranks and formations that the aspirants of the eastern Glade had struggled to maintain in order to withstand the onslaught of the darklings, Cole ruined it with just a slash, not differentiating between darkling or aspirant as he left a dark scar of chaos and destruction on the land. And through it all he had not noticed the presence of Neral besides him.

The Cyber dog just shook his head, Cole had gotten stronger and once again Cole would be pushing the limits of what he was currently capable of, just to see what the heights of his current prowess were. And usually the path to that discovery was and is littered with a mountain of corpses. Neral was sure that Cole hadn't realized this as he still saw himself as person at heart, a man with goals that's fair to all and biased to none but his enemies….that may be true, but the person Cole is right now, is who parents warn their children about at night.

Cole was the hero of his own story, but his propensity for violence and the fact that he could not even be bothered about the pain he causes, scared Neral. It was not his place to say, but perhaps this master of his was not the hero as everyone was seeing him as, but perhaps the villain. And at the rate things were going, perhaps it would be too late for anyone to realize it, perhaps even Cole himself. But ultimately…..Neral loved it.

Cole rushed forwards, grabbed an Ursaling darkling by then literal scruff of it's neck then smashed it's face into the ground as he turned in the same motion and split a teenager in half. As Neral watched all of this he knew it was not as if Cole was some bloodthirsty monster, far from it, he was just a man that was driven to his goals, and if there was something in front of him and those goals, like say the 15 year old kid he just bifurcated, then he would remove with extreme prejudice. He was fair in all things, especially when dealing with obstacles and enemies. It didn't matter your alignment and it did not matter your gender or age, he would removed you to get what he wants and donate to charity the next day because he felt like doing some good in the world.

The very definition of an Antihero, or perhaps Cole was more or a villain. But one with a heart, who has no intention to going about causing havoc….at least not without a cause. Neral watched as Cole jumped from one corner of the battlefield to another, his sword and spear flashing all over the place as he caused extreme damage. But Neral noticed he was leaving being husks and more dust than normal, Cole was harvesting stats, and if that was the case then Neral felt sorry for everyone and everything in here.

Cole's ability to take stats was a general Raen thing, Neral has seen Irma do it, and the process is usually very painful to the person who is being harvested, not to mention the stats, there would also be a permanent increase in energy. With how mu h people were now surrounding him, Neral shuddered to think about what state Cole's stats would be in once he was done but regardless, he knew what comes after would be epic.

Cole blasted away a darkling and stood in front of the pillars once again. The same barrier that had stopped him in the western Glade was the same that was here, and within he could see five Darklings, each of them unique, each of them powerful in their own right attacking a man fighting with two hand axes. Once again it was time to interject himself into the party.
