Giving all of them such level of importance, especially in the front of everyone, the group even felt that if he needed their entire 10 years' worth of cultivation, they would gladly oblige him

The mildly warm 'Dragon Transformation Pool' that Min Hong was currently bathing in which was alternating between the metal silver, matte black and translucent white was causing Min Hong's body to be having a very nice steam bath on the outside but strengthening process on the insides...

The ecstatic feeling of sensing his muscles, blood, tissue, veins and bones take a draconic form and the instant burst of power the pool was providing made him have a blissful expression plastered on his face and finally a smile when he began to sense the bloodline of the first dragon merge with his 'Dawn Sovereign' bloodline

Then whilst Little Fei was handling that and basking in the blissful feeling it brought, he was also thinking about the variation the 'Shadow Part' of the [Chaotic Shadow Steps] would have, whilst he was also looking out if there is a divine ability obtainable from the transformation

Min Hong and Daniel were busy being treated into a contrasting kind of feeling

They opened their eyes and they found themselves within an ocean of black Qi surrounding them from every sides

Though, the feeling of this ocean of black Qi was giving was a little familiar, it didn't do anything to reduce the feeling of pure dread and petrification that was currently gripping them as they tried to swim their way out but there was no way to tell which was up. There was only darkness

Then after a few minutes of struggling, they were both at their limits and couldn't move anymore. So they finally gave up and shut their eyes waiting for their inevitable end, they knew this beast core had the powers of a domineering Sage God-beast within it but they really never knew how powerful it was and now that they were witnessing it first hand, they confirmed that the saying that goes;

"Saying something a billion times and actually doing it, have difficulties that are tragically far apart"

Just the soul-deep sensation of a building and developing dread and disaster was enough to break their will and render them useless until they succumbed despite of the presence of the [Buddhist Chant of the Cherubs] cultivation technique whose effects were nearly non-existent in the face of such magnificent and mighty power

Then to shorten his suffering Min Hong who for some reasons couldn't sense Daniel again took in a deep breath to put a quick and abrupt end to his suffering, only to abruptly open his eyes in shock

The black ocean of Qi didn't hinder his breathing in the slightest and he could actually feel his lungs filling with air with every breath he took

"What is this? Where am I?"

He tried to speak but no voice came out, and it felt like some Law or truths of the universe found him unworthy of speaking in the presence of this beast 

After waking from his stupor, he once again tried to swim and with just a couple of strokes, he reached the surface and poked his head out

Subconsciously, and without knowing, only Min Hong's consciousness had been selected to take this test and that is why he had totally forgotten the Daniel even existed as the power and aura of this beast made certain of that

He looked around but there was nothing.

No star to guide his directions or light to show him the way, or even find the glow at the end of the tunnel

For a full week he floated in the black ocean of Qi allowing his body to go with the current

As he was staring into the endless oblivion in a daze, the sea of Qi very close to him moved

"Huh!?"

He turned around but found nothing except the endless oblivion

Once again the water splashed behind him, and thus time less than six feet from him and he turned around just in the nick of time to see something dive back into the water like they were both playing hide and seek

Something Ginormous!

His heart started racing like a nitro boost was added to his adrenaline

He held his breath to hush himself because he couldn't hear other noises audibly

Once again the water splashed this time behind and he was also just as quick enough to see a massive scaled forked tongue

His heart skipped altogether and stopped beating as immense fear gripped him making him almost crap and piss his pants

"Is this the netherworld but there's supposed to be some sort of activity right???"

These were his first thoughts, defining this moment as Min Hong's most absolute nightmare, even over the trial of the 'Nightmare Aberration' that came from the Primus Dao Fruit 

Being adrift in an extremely large body of water with a creature of the unknown;

"Daniel, are you there!? Daniel, please save me"

He tried to shout but there was no voice coming out of his mouth

About 300 feet away the sea of black Qi splashed and something started to move towards him, getting faster and faster

A feeling of unadulterated terror hit him as he tried to swim away-

[as the abomination verified where it was born]

-but whatever was in the water was coming straight from him, and now, it was only about ten meters from him

Two massive rainbow colored eyes with black rings and some symbol etched on it-

[See Sharingan in Naruto as reference but with circular-spiral rainbow color, instead of the red]

-these eyes could be seen reflecting from below the ocean of black Qi, staring at him dead in the eyes
