The Devil's Sweetheart

As if the time has stopped, he was not sure the world was rooted for their moment but with every breath, Leena took, the familiar lavender smell infused into his nerves.

Perhaps the time stopped when her lips met his but the inner tremor intensified. Both started at each other as if it was a silent argument battling with their eyes.

Leena's heart pounded in her chest when Devin's eyes focused solely on her lips and that's when she realized how soft they felt even if it was just a small peck on her lips. It was still not clear if she was dreaming but the swirls of emotion she saw on him made her gasp and before she could mull over further, she felt a hand encircling her waist pulling her closer against his warm chest which was chiseled to perfection. The wristwatch box they were fighting with was lying somewhere on the floor but they were too muddle-headed to reckon that.

Heat rose from Leena's cheeks as his lips got closer to her to capture them again. His fresh cinnamon fragrance has hypnotized her and as if a cast was a spell on her, Leena closed her eyes, but the anticipating moment was replaced by a scream.

"NOOOOO!" The voice as cruel as a knife interrupted their sweet moments eventually.

Leena and Devin turned to the door where the scream originated and as they expected it was him.

"Damn it! He always arrives at the wrong time." Devin cursed under his breath. He wanted to steal another peck since they have already experienced their first kiss and he was craving to ravish her soft lips again. Devin never foresaw his first kiss would turn out to be unexpected and with Leena's craziness, it rounded the bend again.

Leena tried to wake up seeing Drew here but Devin's grip on her waist was too strong to move. Sensing Leena's struggle, Drew scrambled towards them and pulled Leena from Devin's grip.

"Are you ok, sister?" Drew seethed in anger turning to Devin. "You dared to force a kiss on my sister?"

"Arguing with a fool proves there are two." Devin got from the ground not intended to contend with Drew. Didn't he recognize our positions at least? When did I force a kiss on my sweetheart? Devin was at loss for words for his friend's dumb brain.

"You are calling me a fool after you did the lewd actions? We want justice," Drew demanded. Even Leah, Austin, Jasper docked into their room with Drew's soul dying scream.

"What the hell are you talking about! Stupid Andrew!!" Leena whispered in anger. Firstly it was a mistake from my end and he is creating a big scene for it? Even now Leena was scared of how he would tease her even if it was a slip.

"What kind of justice you are talking about, Mr. Andrew Dawson?" Devin chuckled pulling Leena from Drew's grip. Watching her flushed face, Devin smiled with satisfaction, she is slowly learning to show emotions now.

"W_e will discuss it together and then come up with our demands." Andrew pulled Leena from Devin's embrace and dragged her along with him.

Leah, Austin Jasper looked at the three people perplexed not understanding their conversations. Since they arrived a little late, only Drew got the chance to witness the scene.

"Stupid! dumb idiot! What kind of justice you are demanding with him. He didn't force on me. It happened unexpectedly." Leena hit his head to put some sense into his brain. Did he seriously consider his role as a brother? A chill ran down her spine suddenly when Leena felt someone's gaze was cruising her and even before she realized it, she whirled around. Looking at the smirk which was pointing at her, she wanted to wipe it out from his face. She retracted her eyes trying to focus on Andrew's words but the warm touch of his lips was replaying on her mind. Unconsciously, she raised her hand to her lips slowly tracing them with her fingers.

"You shouldn't give too much freedom to him," Drew began nagging not thinking Leena was in another world, to start with.

"Did I?" Leena asked in a haze.

"Absolutely. You should be a little strict with him when it comes to such things." Drew was offended by Austin Devin and Jasper for acting secret in Trent's matter until he caught them red-handed and Leena is his pawn to get revenge on Devin. About the other two, I will worry about them later. Without wasting any time, he dragged Leena from the place to confront Devin.

"As a brother, I want Justice for forcefully kissing my sister," Drew demanded.

Leena nervously stared at the floor without looking at Devin. Her violent heartbeat was not allowing her to take a peek at him. When did you become a weedy cat, Leena! It was just a kiss but her heart was not hearkening to her brain.

"Did you forcefully kiss her, Vincy?" Austin and Jasper asked in surprise.

"If you have forced on her, apologize to her. It's a mistake from your end." Leah insisted. Even though she approved of their relationship, forcing a kiss was a big no in her opinion and she guessed it was a mistake sensing Leena's innocent face. He dared to force a kiss on my darling. Poor little thing. She is not even lifting her head.

All four started screaming demanding an apology making Devin the culprit here.

"If you are thinking that I did a mistake, let me correct it right away." Devin walked towards Leena and leaned forward wrapping his arms around her waist.

Leena parted her lips, heat rose from her chest again. The feel of his body leaning on her as he wrapped his arms around her and when she felt his soft lips again, the taste of him nearly silenced her thoughts even if she wanted to protest.

"Sweetheart, if you play with the fire, you are gonna get burned," Devin whispered into her ears releasing her after getting a nip on her lips. He was fully satisfied now that he got to taste them again. Devin was cursing Drew when he disturbed his sweet time with Leena but he was the one to pave a way to steal a kiss with his sweetheart again.

Leena stood there dazed even after Devin released her, her heart thumping in her chest. What's going on here! Did he take revenge on me for kissing him earlier? It was a mistake, right?

"Are you Satisfied now?" Devin inquired, his gaze now directed to all the four dumb idiots.

"We asked for an apology. Not the kiss." Leah asked stunned with the turn of events. When did Devin start showing such a shameless side? Lewd idiot! He is not leaving any opportunity to steal a kiss from my darling now.

"I am not apologizing. It was not my mistake, to begin with." He said as a matter of fact.

"Then why did you kiss her again?" Drew asked gritting his teeth. He was raging in fury when his revenge went into dogs again.

"Because in the arithmetic of kiss, plus one and one minus one equals nothing. Now that we have kissed twice, the kiss is nullified and if you please get out of our room, we have some pressing matters to discuss." Devin kicked the three out of his room and turned to his girl.

What kind of theory is this? Everyone wondered.

"I_I have to sleep. I will go back to my room." Leena breathed in when Devin slowly stepped ahead. Scared, Leena took a step back and their cat and mouse game went on until her back was pressed against the wall.

Before she could escape, Devin placed his hands on each side of her head and leaned in trapping her.

"I_I didn't tell them that you forced on me." Leena inhaled trying to concentrate but all she smelled was him. "A_nd kissing is common in our culture."

"Is it. Then let's do it again if it is common." Devin whispered, his breath was closely dancing on her lips, and one step forward, they would be on it again.

"No. C_an you move away? I_I can't concentrate." Leena crushed her back against the wall, out of breath when he started grazing her throbbing neck thumb up and down.

"What if I leave?" His hand slid down the wall stopping behind her back.

"I_I will go to bed right away." Leena flinched when his hand stopped behind her hips. Where did you put your blabbermouth idiot!! You can't even protest him now? He is the dangerous devil but why am I liking this side of him. Do I like him or Did I like his kiss? I have to sort my feelings out.

Right after Devin stepped back, Leena fled away in a wink scared that he would catch her again.

Just when Leena left, Devin breathed in relief. The plan to seduce her backfired on him when he looked at his tent.

"I have to take a cold shower again." Devin inhaled a deep sigh. He tried the watch multiple times and like a fool, he was smiling all the time.

Keeping it in a safe place, he went into the bathroom to curb the heat down there. He lost the urge to wait now. Right after she comes back to New York, I have to proffer her. It's time to claim her fully.

After a shower, Devin calmed down a little and looked at the girl sleeping on her bed. He closed the door and began googling the threads about a gift to give a girl at the time of proposing but a message popped up to annoy him.

"Three days! It's more than enough for damage.." Having said that, Devin closed the mobile and got ready to meet a certain person.
