If he upgraded the level 2 [Combo strike] to level 3, Lucas knew that he could kill the even high-level rank 5 spirit beasts as long as he didn't mess up his streak.

However, the streak would be easily messed up because a high-level rank 5 spirit beast's speed was not something he could match.

So, before he could increase his streak to give a deadly blow to the high-level rank 5 spirit beast, he would be killed by it.

Another drawback with this skill was that he could only fight a single rank 5 spirit beast at a time and if he was surrounded by multiple rank 5 spirit beasts, he would die even before using any of his skills.

Lucas was mainly talking about the effect in which he could temporarily increase the strength of all his lynx spirit beasts by a minor rank without any side effects.

And what's more, upgrading the skill [Lynx master] to level 3 might help him even more for tomorrow's fight.

After Lucas crushed the skill crystal, he received a system notification, asking him to select the skill of his liking to upgrade.

Lucas didn't think much as he already made his decision and informed the system about it.

It didn't take much time before Lucas received the system notification as Lucas opened the [Skills section] to check the information on the upgraded skill.

        Skill name:- Lynx master (level 3).

        Effect:- 1) All types of Lynx spirit beasts will be intimated to the user and easily accept him as their leader.

                    2) The user can see the evolution routes of all the lynx spirit beasts and while evolving the lynxes, the chances of awakening special skills will be increased to 80  percent.

        Note:- Limited to the lynx spirit beasts that have the same strength as the user or lower than that.

                    3) The user can increase the strength of lynxes by two minor ranks.

        Note:- However, the host can't increase the strength of any lynx behind rank 5 as he is still a tier 3 general knight.

                    4) The host can attract the lynx spirit beasts to the place he stays.

        Note:- The number of lynxes attracted will not be calculated as it depends on various facts like availability, distance, environment and others.

        More information:- A rare skill that is very hard to find in any spirit beast below rank 6 or Heaven rank spirit beasts.

A long holographic screen appeared in front of Lucas.

'Isn't this what I want from a level 3 skill?'

Lucas was smiling from ear to ear as he read the information on the screen once again to confirm whether what he was ready was right or not.

'With this, I will have 13 rank 5 spirit beasts and along with Beck and others, I am finally confident in clearing all the evil spirit beasts for tomorrow's fight.'

Lucas counted all the lynx type spirit beasts he had under his care and if he used the effect to temporarily increase their strength by two minor ranks, their strength would become low-level rank 5 and mid-level rank 5 respectively.

What's more, the evolved lynxes have already broken through to rank 5 and if they increase their strength by two minor ranks, they would become high-level rank 5 spirit beasts.

All of a sudden, Lucas felt fighting three high-level rank 5 evil spirit beasts from three evil portals became very easy.

'The evolved Star lynx and two elemental lynxes will take care of those high-level rank 5 evil spirit beasts.'

Even before Beck returned with the white tiger, Lucas had already decided who would be fighting the high-level rank 5 evil spirit beasts tomorrow.

'As long as we clear the three rank 5 evil portals, I will definitely become a Marquis grade family, one grade lower than the royal family of the Barren firmament.'

With high-level rank 5 evil spirit beasts taken care of, there was nothing left for Lucas to fear and thought his family would become a Marquis grade easily while skipping the earl grade.

'If only I have the talent crystals for either my Assassin profession or Knight profession. It will increase my battle prowess a lot.'

Because two of his main professions only had a talent of Earl grade, Lucas could not break through tier 3 General rank in them. So, he hoped he would get the talent crystals for these two professions.

While he was lost in his thoughts of how to find the talent crystals, Beck returned with both the normal white tiger and baby winged tiger.

"I have a beast evolution crystal and I will give it to you on one condition."

Lucas didn't waste any time as he directly went to the point, "You will protect the Hellmore family from now on and if you are okay with it, you can take this crystal."

"I am willing to become the guardian spirit beasts of the Hellmore family."

Beast evolution crystal is a rare item that every spirit beast dreams of getting their claws on; however, they could not even see it in their entire life, much left to use it for themselves.

So, the white tiger didn't hesitate even a little as she directly swallowed the beast evolution crystal in Lucas' hands and slept on the ground to start its evolution.

Her son has already formed a contract with Lucas and she knew becoming the guardian beast was a very good option for it in exchange for a beast evolution crystal.
