Outside the barrier of the Silverstone town.

"Leader, I think something really happened to the three representatives of the three forces from the Alverton firmament."

"Yes, leader. It's been more than four hours since they went in. Shall we go and take a look inside the barrier?"

The assassins waiting in their hiding places gave their thoughts to their guild leaders.

"Wait a second…someone is coming this way."

Just as their guild leader was about to shut them up, he noticed someone coming out of the barrier as he raised his brows.

'Are they running away from the town because of those representatives?'

This was the only thought in the heads of all the assassin guild leaders and hurriedly ordered their subordinates, "Kill them all and leave only one of them alive."

"Yes, leader."

Everyone finally became excited because they were bored of waiting for four hours without doing anything.

"Huh? Why are you not making your move?"

Among the 20 groups that surrounded the Silverstone town, one of the guild leaders frowned when he saw none of his subordinates was rushing to attack the incoming targets.

"Sorry to pour cold water on your excitement but I got my orders to kill you….slash."

Just as he turned his head, the guild leader saw a familiar silhouette slash his neck as he fell to the ground with a shocked look on his face.

'Ghost snake…why?'

Words didn't come out of the fallen guild leader as he wondered why Ghost snake killed him.

"You must be wondering why I killed you, right?"

Ghost snake looked at the guild leader who was a few moments away from dying but still nodded his head as he wanted to know about it before dying.

"Nah…I don't feel like saying."

Ghost snake hated this guild leader to the core as he mocked and insulted a lot during the last couple of months when he was staying in his guild.

So, he wanted that assassin guild leader to die without knowing on whose orders he killed him.

'Swoosh'

As soon as he killed the assassin guild leader, Ghost snake's body started glowing with bright light as he heard a popping sound from his body.

'Th..this is…I finally broke through to the tier 1 higher assassin.'

Ghost snake could not believe his eyes as he felt it was all a dream.

Of course, he didn't become a tier 1 higher assassin yet as he still had to sacrifice a rank 5 spirit beast to become a full-fledged tier 1 higher assassin.

'No…it is because of Master Lucas. It helped increase my talent from Marquis to Duke. If not for that, no matter how many assassinations I do, I would have struck at tier 5 general assassin.'

However, Ghost snake knew very well that he was able to break through only because of his talent upgrade by Lucas.

'Looks like I did the right thing by following that young man.'

Even though his gamble was yet to bloom fully, he already started getting some good returns, making Ghost snake feel that he made the right decision on following Lucas.

'However, I still don't understand what he was thinking. If I killed all the assassins from this branch, I would be more suspicious in the eyes of headquarters.'

Ghost snake was unable to understand Lucas' thoughts; however, since his master said that there is a way to make him not suspicious, he decided to follow the plan.

Soon, Ghost snake went to the next group of assassins. Of course, it is to kill them.

The thing is, Ghost snake received orders from Lucas through the voice transmission that he had to completely assassinate the assassins from the five branches of the assassin guild.

'I will leave these two groups for that girl and those behind her while I take care of others.'

Ghost started searching for the next group.

On the other side of the town, the elemental lynxes along with the rank 4 lynxes were going on a rampage as they massacred the assassins.

They didn't even give a chance for the assassins to run away.

Finally, one of the assassin guild leaders used some kind of voice enhancing artifact to alert the other assassin guilds.han

However, it was too late as half of the 20 assassin guilds who were waiting with 50 of their strongest men were either killed or in the middle of dying right now.

"Everyone, let's join forces together to fight. Come to the entrance if you're alive."

The same assassin guild leader who was near the entrance of the Silverstone town shouted once again before making his way towards the entrance, hoping a few more guild leaders to come there.

'Swoosh'

"Haha…do you think you can escape now?"

Reece and Harper were chasing the guild leader who shouted for combining their forces to fight the men from the Silverstone town.

"Since an assassin was thinking of fighting head-on, let;s fight head-on."

Harper, who received some new orders from Lucas, shouted at the running guild leader with a slight smile on his face.

"Everyone from Silverstone, gather at the entrance of the town."

Harper also enhanced his voice using one of his basic spells to call everyone to come to the entrance.
