Sovereign of the Firmaments

In Lunaris firmament.

'Ding,

          Congratulations to the host for successfully absorbing the sun essence and moon essence for 100 nights.

          The host has successfully fulfilled the requirements for the system upgrade to level 1.

          Do you want to upgrade the 'Fiery Sun-Icy Moon system' to level 2?

'Phew...finally, it is time to upgrade.'

A young man in clean and simple clothes was sitting on a boulder behind a simple courtyard as he was basking in the moonlight.

When he heard the system notifications in his head, the young man heaved a sigh of relief and at the same time, he had a hint of excitement along with the relieved expression on his face.

'I will upgrade it.'

Without any hesitation, the young man gave permission to upgrade the system to level 2.

          Initiating the system upgrade.

          It will take 24 hours for the system to complete the upgrade. During this time, other than the inventory, the host can't use any other system features.

As soon as he gave the permission, the system started the upgradation of its level while informing him about other things.

'I will wait.'

With a slight smile on his handsome face, the young man replied to the system in his head as he recalled how he was able to reach his current position.

His name is Desmond Firesnow, the only son of Raylan Firesnow, the King of the Lunaris firmament.

"Prince Desmond, His Majesty is requesting your presence in the royal study."

Just as he was enjoying the beautiful weather in his backyard, Desmond heard a few maid's voices.

"Okay."

Desmond casually nodded his head at the beautiful maid in front of him.'

'It is really good to transmigrate into the body of a royal family after living such a horrible life in my previous life'

While saying these words, the young man jumped off the boulder with a slight smile on his face as he followed the beautiful maid.

That's right!

It's been exactly 100 days since he had transmigrated into this world and had a system in his head.

In the study that was lit by the light stones, a middle-aged man that had the same facial features as Desmond said to Desmond in an excited tone.

"Yes, father."

Unlike the other royal families in this firmament world where the son had to call the father 'Your majesty', Desmond and Raylan were different. They don't follow that same etiquette as the other royal families.

"Son, you got the admission letter into the Crystalville magic academy."

Seeing that Desmond curiously looked at him, Raylan replied the reason why he called Desmond.

'What?'

Desmond raised his brows with a shocked look on his face.

"Yes. I know you will definitely catch the eye of the roaming elders of the academy."

Raylan was very happy today as he continued to say, "Moreover, it said that you will directly become the core disciple of the academy and carefully guided by the first elder of the academy. Isn't that awesome?"

Desmond was completely speechless as he didn't understand why he got admission into the so-called Crystalville academy.

"Father, can I not go to the academy?"

Desmond hesitated a little before saying those words.

Raylan was shocked by Desmond's words as he never expected his son to say that.

"Des, you wanted this from the time you awakened your talent. Do you really don't want to go? Or are you just trying to prank your old man?"

Raylen controlled his shock as he asked Desmond in a calm tone; however, it lacked the excitement from before.

"I don't want to leave you and mother here to some other place."

Desmond shook his head and with a serious look on his face, he said, "I will stay here along with you and protect this firmament just like how you are doing it."
