431 430: A City?
Diiiing!
Diiiiinggg!
Ding!
Ding!
Four consecutive bell chimes resounded across the shattered dimension of the Old Ones, and a visible ripple could be seen moving across the entire shattered dimension at the speed of light.
Before Corey could react, he felt the ripple pass through him, and then his Paragon senses noticed a foreign force that tried to invade his body but was stopped by the emergence of another force that emerged from his body.
Corey looked at his body with a slight raise of his brows, and then he placed his hand inside his trouser side pocket and brought out the ancient stone.
He looked at it, and then he noticed that one of the six glowing lines had become dim.
"Five more times huh?"
Corey mumbled, and then he placed the ancient stone back in his pocket.
"Hopefully I won't have to actively look for another ancient stone."
Corey looked at Selene who was also observing the ancient stone in her hands with a curious expression.
'Luckily for her, I gave her the ancient stone on time.'
Corey stepped off the massive corpse of the mountain lion, and then he approached Selene.
Selene noticed his presence, and she kept the ancient stone in her left breast pocket before turning to face Corey.
"Here, take this."
Corey tossed an object toward her, and she caught it with slightly raised brows. She brought the object closer to her face, and she noticed that the object was a metal slab that had runes on it.
She recognized none of the runes.
She looked at Corey with a baffled expression.

"I plan on using an array to shrink down this mountain. As long as you hold onto that metal slab, the array won't target you."
Selene blinked repeatedly, and it took her a full three seconds to come to the realization that Corey was not joking with his words.
She could not help but stutter in disbelief, "Yo-You want to use an array to shrink down this massive mountain? An array that can do that would be a high-level array that tier 2s should not-"
The instant she reached this point in her words, she paused.
'How could I have forgotten… My master is not a normal tier 2. He does things that tier 2s should not be able to do.'
Selene released a sigh of resignation. She was about to sit on the ground, but she suddenly stopped when she recalled that the entire floor of the Mountain of Metals was filled with blood.
In fact, they were currently standing on top of a pool of blood.
'Luckily I remembered on time. It would have been terrible if I stained my clothes by sitting on blood.'
"It'll take some time for me to draw the array, so do whatever you want to do in the meantime."
Corey turned and walked away, but after taking three steps, he stopped.
"You can also try to take some of the precious metals before I'm able to finish drawing the array."
Selene's eyes brightened like stars the instant she heard something she never expected Corey to say. Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"Thank you, Master!"
She bowed slightly, and Corey walked away without responding.
Selene raised her head, and the light of greed and desire could not be hidden from her eyes.
"Although, Master said I can take some of the metals till he's done drawing the array, I should make sure I use this opportunity well. I have to get as many precious metals as possible."
Selene took a step forward, but then she stopped, and a stunned expression appeared on her face as she stared at the massive Mountain of Metals before her.
"Where do I start from?"
-----
While Selene was facing a dilemma as to where she should start mining the precious metals of the Mountain of Metals, Corey teleported to the peak of the Mountain of Metals.
The sight of which stunned even though this was his second time coming to the peak of the mountain of metals.
Corey could see a lake of silver and a lake of gold. He could also see trees that had fruits with a metallic sheen to them. The ground itself was made out of a strange dark metal, and he could see caves that glittered with various lights.
"Even if I'm not a greedy person, there's no way I'd give up on the mountain of metals. It'll be very important for the weapon I plan on creating."
A light grin appeared on Corey's face, and a second later, he took a step forward. The air rippled and a hexagon platform appeared beneath his feet.
Corey took another step, then another, and with every step he took, he rose higher and higher into the air.
After reaching approximately thirty meters in the air, Corey stopped, and then he looked down at the massive mountain of metals.
He turned to his left, and then he saw the strange desert that had almost killed them. However, the desert was no longer raining, and it resembled a serene and peaceful desert.
Corey stared at the desert for a few more seconds, and then he looked to his right. When he did, his eyes brightened.
'A city?'
Corey's pupils reflected the image of a city on a jagged cliff with the biggest chains Corey had ever seen hanging from the city to the depths of the ground.
Although it was extremely far and Corey could not see it in detail, he was sure it was a city. Just as Corey was observing the city and chains, he looked beyond the city and then he noticed that something was off.
'Is that… fog?'
Corey furrowed his brows as he stared at what he guessed was an ocean of fog beyond the city. Corey stroked his chin for a few seconds, but a few seconds later, he shrugged.
"I guess that's our new destination. Besides, I need information on a lot of things about this realm. I need to know what exactly a Genesis Armament is, and what the power system of this world is."
Corey stretched his fingers, and then he mumbled, "Time to get work."
