Chapter 55: Grand Admiral Rudras Analysis, Dravens Investigation
Two hours passed by as Grand Admiral Rudra finished watching everything.
The Arcane Eyes they’ve deployed were in the outer areas of all eight corners of the labyrinth and some in the eight major areas.
Since there was a shortage of Arcane Eyes to deploy it at all spots, the ones in the eight major areas moved around.
A few had moved a bit further, which luckily captured Almond’s adventure in the Fallen Monastery town that Aryan was watching when Grand Admiral Rudra arrived here.
Looking at the footage of Almond’s combat in Fallen Monastery Town, Rudra’s eyes glinted. "Why is he killing monsters when he is already at maximum level? And he is not particularly training."
There were people who fought just to hone their combat and learn more about their skills.
But from what he observed, Almond was in a very efficient and quick hunting mode.
"That’s not a sign of learning or training. It’s as if he has a goal related to killing monsters," Rudra got off the chair and locked his hands behind his back as he started walking to and fro.
"He could be farming for drops, but that doesn’t make sense given his class that produces items."
"He could also be gathering gold coins. His profile showed he is not well-off, but he already got a girlfriend who is Dagon’s daughter."
Looking at the clock, he muttered, "It must be over six in the morning there. Good."
"Astra, call Dagon from my contact list."
In Frostar city, Dagon woke up hearing the ringtone and saw that it was Grand Admiral Rudra.
He couldn’t help but dryly chuckle, "I have a feeling this is about Almond."
[Dagon: Good morning, admiral.]
[Rudra: Morning. What do you know about Almond Crowshade?]
[Dagon: It seems that you’ve already seen him in action. I’m afraid I only know as much as you do, admiral.]
[Rudra: Bring him here once he comes out.]
[Dagon: Roger. Also, I have a favor to ask, if you don’t mind.]
[Rudra: I got it. I’ll make sure Draven won’t get what he wants.]
[Dagon: Thank you, senior.]
[Rudra: It sounds like you’ve already accepted him as your son-in-law.]
[Dagon: Ha-ha…cough, my daughter can be quite stubborn, so I have to do all I can. But since you’ve seen him in action, can I ask you about your analysis of him, please?]
[Rudra: He is focused. No unnecessary thoughts. His expression while fighting and killing monsters has a purpose. There’s no distraction in his life. He has a strong thirst to become powerful and…]
[Dagon: And?]
[Rudra: He is goddamn talented—a monster-level breed of human. The way he improved in his sword mastery can only be summed up as a true-blue genius. Like how Mozart knew what to do when he saw the piano and composed a myriad of works in his short life that made a whole case of genres, this young man picked up his sword and did exactly that. Once he learns Aura Enfold, I feel he will compose monstrous sword techniques.]
[Dagon: I see…I didn’t think I would hear this level of praise for someone from your mouth.]
[Rudra: But I will have to test his mind, his heart. We already have some big headaches hiding in the darkness. I don’t want someone like him to go on a dark path.]
[Dagon: I understand, admiral. I will bring him to you once he comes out of the Labyrinth.]
[Rudra: Did your daughter tell you why he extended his stay in the Labyrinth?]
[Dagon: Not in details. She just told me it’s related to his class.]
[Rudra: Got it. You can go back to sleep now.]
[Dagon:….cough, I usually wake up at six, but-]
Rudra cut off the call before Dagon could finish, a smile hanging on his lips. "Lucky bastard."

"He caught you," Sabrina chuckled.
Dagon helplessly smiled and lay back on the bed, "He was just pulling my leg. Anyway, we’ll give the good news to Lily later. Since she believes Almond is good, then I believe he will pass senior Rudra’s tests."
Adventurers at such a high rank and level could indeed remain perfectly fine even without sleeping for multiple days unless they exhausted their mind and body doing strong work and needed sleep.
On the other hand, Rudra sighed as he put away his phone.
"Even Dagon’s daughter has found her life partner, and then there’s my son, who isn’t married yet," Rudra rubbed his temples as he muttered, "Does that rascal want to pass down our bloodline or not?"
Astra’s hologram appeared as she said, "I’m positive he has an offspring or two in the process, given his activities. For a fact, a female named Amelia is keeping his baby, though she thinks she is keeping it a secret."
Rudra was stunned, "Since when did you collect such information?"
"I was ordered by Aryan to do that, as he wanted to know about his possible offspring."
"That darn rascal!"
…
While Almond was speed-hunting the Labyrinth, even as a new day descended inside and outside, Draven was in his afternoon party with newbie adventurers and their parents.
Given that Draven organized a party, everyone thought that his son had also returned, which wasn’t the case in reality.
Looking at everyone enjoying and being happy, Draven felt like pulling his hair.
He only showed his face one time and then left, letting Rufus and other members of the guild do the work of meeting and talking.
Some parents also had a desire to let their kids join Wildhunt Guild, so they were happy to be here.
"Draven, what we know so far is that there are three more students who haven’t returned yet."
"Who?" Draven asked, his expression intense.
"Seyung and Lamp. These were Jacob’s friends. The third is someone called Almond."
"I know the first two, but who the hell is Almond? His parents?"
"No parents. Lives in the academy dorms. He has some internal physical defects, making him weaker physically with low stamina. He has been bullied by Jacob and those two a few times, but nothing serious."
"Also, three students who returned didn’t attend the party. They are Jayce, Natalia, and Lily."
Draven frowned, "Lily and Natalia are kids of the Darkwood mansion. Forget about them. What’s the deal with Jayce?"
"He lives with his older sister. I’ve sent someone to check, but he is at his home training while his sister is at GAA’s branch, working. I guess they just weren’t interested in the party, considering Jayce would join GAA because of his sister."
Draven sighed, his expression weary. "Did you ask students if they had seen Jacob? Where did he spawn?"
"Apparently, nobody saw him at the starting area spawning with them. But everyone had spawned to all starting areas except for one—the starting area leading to Fairy Mountain."
Draven’s eyes glinted. "So nobody here saw Jacob spawned at their starting areas…"
"Not just Jacob, but they also didn’t see Seyung or Lamp, nor Lily, Natalia, Almond, or Jayce," Rufus slowly said as a sheen flashed in his eyes. "It’s safe to assume that these six spawned in the same area."
"That’s it!" Draven smashed his hand on the couch’s armrest and stood up, "Send someone to ask Jayce if he saw them. Now."
