Chapter 108: Right or Wrong

Chapter 108: Right or Wrong

Under the gaze of countless dazed eyes, the series of loud explosions signaled the failure of the poacher gang.

The police had not yet fully deployed their forces, but three of their most important trump card weapons were destroyed from within. The last line of defense in the poachers’ hearts was torn apart by this series of explosions, their morale slowly fading.

“What… happened?”

“Charge! Charge! Full speed ahead!” On the police side, it was as if they’d been injected with adrenaline. Without the suppression from the black technology, their speed was fully unleashed. They charged forward, covering several hundred meters in an instant.

“Impossible… at least three people possess such infiltration capabilities?!”

Merely infiltrating isn’t enough; one must also possess the strength and cunning to destroy “Raikou” amidst the heavy defenses of numerous poachers. Even in the police force, people with such talents are extremely rare. Yet now, three of them had suddenly appeared here, which was simply unbelievable.

The silence lasted only for a few seconds before it was instantly shattered by shouts and screams.

The poachers and the police once again began to fight, but having just lost their trump card and having their defenses shattered by a series of explosive changes, how much energy and focus did the poachers have left to fight the police?

Especially with unfamiliar Pokémon entering the battle from all sides, it put even more pressure on the poachers.

The battle was lost, and there was no way to escape. So, when police said their usual “surrender for lenient treatment”, a few poachers began to raise their hands, not wishing to fight to the end.

Seeing this scene, Grey Feather’s face turned completely pale. He and two other combat officers were the only ones left holding their ground under the police’s suppression. However, they were ultimately outnumbered by the opposing forces. Grey Feather did not expect that before more police could surround them, they would be defeated by this group of people.

The gradual collapse of their forces rapidly weakened the poachers’ power. By the time they faced off against the police, they had almost no strength left to use.

And when Mr. Looker, who possessed god-tier disguise abilities and mobility, once again personally subdued Grey Feather, it marked the official end of the arrest operation.

None of the poachers had expected that they would be so thoroughly and absurdly suppressed.

The turn of events was too sudden, leaving them with no time to react. The question of who these people were and what they had done was the biggest mystery in the minds of the arrested poachers.

Chandler felt extremely frustrated. As the second-in-command of the poacher organization, his strength was by no means weak. Yet, he had been inexplicably and easily sniped by two kids. This frustration was something that outsiders couldn’t understand.

When they were arrested, all the poachers were bound tightly and kept under strict control by the police.

“Terrance!”

Mr. Looker gave Terrance a warm hug, and it was no exaggeration to say that Terrance had made a significant contribution to the successful capture of the poachers.

Thinking back to the scene where he had seen Terrance and Cynthia at that location, commanding numerous Pokémon to defeat the poachers effortlessly, Mr. Looker was still somewhat astonished. He couldn’t understand why Terrance and an unfamiliar female Trainer would appear here.

But the situation had been urgent at the time, and they couldn’t communicate much. Nevertheless, as the only combat force, they had played a huge role in destroying the poaching organization.

“Mr. Looker, I didn’t expect to meet again in such circumstances,” Terrance had an exhausted look on his face, but he still managed to give a smile.

“Yeah, although I don’t know why you guys are here, you’ve done a great job,” Looker smiled, looking at the two of them with some admiration. However, he noticed that neither Terrance nor the female Trainer appeared too excited, which puzzled him.

Isn’t helping the police apprehend poachers a great recognition and encouragement for them?

But little did Mr. Looker know that the two individuals before him were not ordinary people.

One was a freak with the consciousness of an adult trapped in a 10-year-old’s body.

And the other was destined to become a prominent figure who will shape the future of the entire Sinnoh.

So, how could they be so excited about this that they couldn’t control themselves like little children, completely expressing their emotions?

“It was too dangerous… but, at least, everyone is safe.” Mr. Looker said.

“There’s one more thing…” Terrance suddenly said.

“What?” Looker asked in surprise.

“I want to meet their leader,” Terrance said calmly.

Not only Looker but even Cynthia was taken aback, looking at Terrance in confusion. Among the two of them, only Looker had a slight understanding of Terrance, but it wasn’t deep. Terrance’s involvement in the poacher incident was already quite dramatic, so what did he want with the poacher’s leader?

After a moment of hesitation, considering Terrance’s role in this incident, Looker agreed.

“No problem.”

Grey Feather, the prominent poacher at the forefront of Sinnoh’s most wanted list, now resembled a weary old man, despondently detained on the side.

Once in the spotlight, the big boss who commanded hundreds of poachers ultimately couldn’t escape justice.

Mainly because their actions this time were too blatant. From the beginning at Stark Mountain to later at Amp Plains, it was as if they were holding signs and shouting through megaphones, saying, “I’m here, come and get me,” to the police.

Even their coming to North Lake was more or less part of the police’s predicted actions.

So, they failed for two main reasons:

First: their whereabouts were too exposed, and their personnel were scattered, giving the police ample preparation time.

Second: they had bad luck.

Sensing someone calling his name, Grey Feather lifted his head, his eyes devoid of anger as he looked at the person coming towards him.

A teenager, about 13 or 14 years ole. He didn’t recognize him, but there was something about him that seemed familiar.

Following behind Terrance was Mr. Looker, who had come here with Terrance. The police wouldn’t allow Terrance to make contact with the poacher’s leader alone.

“Mr. Grey Feather, please allow me to address you as such,” Terrance spoke up.

“I am… one of the students of Crown Academy, Terrance.”

It was only when Grey Feather heard this name that his eyes lit up, and he stared at Terrance intently.

“I came here because of something you once said to us. I don’t know if you’ve forgotten it or not.”

“You said that people like us, born with privilege, can never understand your pain. We’re like greenhouse flowers. But I can tell you clearly that I, Terrance from Fallarbor Town in the Hoenn region, a guy who couldn’t even register as a Trainer, made it all the way here with just 2000 League Coins.”

“I earned the title of Breeder through my own efforts and secured the opportunity to study at Crown Academy through my actions. It’s not as absolute as you claim, but as long as one is willing to strive, anyone can have a chance at success.”

“I’m not saying this to deny anything. I have no representativeness or persuasiveness. But if this were twenty years ago, I might not have been able to achieve everything I have now. But today, I have succeeded. I just wanted to express my viewpoint…”

“Everything in this world is progressing. Mr. Grey Feather, please believe that the future system will be more sound. This world is far from as dark as you describe. There are still many things worth pursuing, protecting, and exploring.”

“Please wait and see….” Terrance concluded.

There is nothing purely right or purely wrong. The biases that arise from the concepts formed by all experiences are unchangeable. Right and wrong can only be judged by history.

As Terrance left, he could only hear Grey Feather’s laughter, which was ambiguous and full of loneliness.
