C454 – The Benefactor Jiang Hao the Strange Yuanba

He suppressed the urge and turned his gaze to Jiang Hao.

Yet, when he looked at Jiang Hao, his eyes held a hint of warmth, which only deepened Jiang Hao’s confusion.

But there was Lee Yuanba, showing considerable trust and no sign of aggression, only a touch of kinship towards him.

Lee Yuanba’s voice was filled with joy as he expressed his gratitude.

Amidst a scream of agony, he began to suck greedily.

Silence descended on the tomb once again, a silence filled with unspeakable terror.

Now, the only sound in the main chamber was Lee Yuanba swallowing blood in great gulps.

Even Jiang Hao was stunned by the sight.

He hadn’t anticipated that Lee Yuanba would consume the man’s blood.

And it appeared he was regaining his strength by feasting on it!

Just as Jiang Hao came to his senses and was about to intervene, the body in Lee Yuanba’s grasp withered away instantly.

Lee Yuanba released his bite, a look of satisfaction washing over his face before he disdainfully tossed aside the drained corpse.

“Thud!”

The dull thud jolted everyone back to reality.

​Having drained a person’s blood, Lee Yuanba seemed somewhat discontented. He then turned his attention to Chief Wang, who was lying not far from his feet, and reached out to seize him.

Seeing this, Jiang Hao cried out in alarm!

“Yuanba, stop!”

Though he was uncertain why Lee Yuanba had named him benefactor or if he would heed his words, Jiang Hao intervened nonetheless.

“My benefactor, isn’t this the gift you presented to me?”

Caught off guard by the question, Jiang Hao hesitated, unsure of how to respond.

But then, inspiration struck, and he quickly replied,

“I meant only the person you’ve just captured, nothing more!”

Lee Yuanba’s eyes clouded with disappointment upon hearing this.

Ignoring Wang Ming Yang on the ground, he made his way directly to Jiang Hao.

Wang Ming Yang, narrowly escaping death, watched Jiang Hao with mixed emotions.

Approaching Jiang Hao, Lee Yuanba was the picture of respect.

“Benefactor!”

Jiang Hao remained on alert, yet he could see that Lee Yuanba’s affection appeared genuine, without a hint of deceit.

For a brief moment, Jiang Hao was at a loss for words.

He had many questions, but with the crowd around them, this was hardly the place for inquiries.

“Follow me, we’ll talk outside,” Jiang Hao said, casting a glance at the onlookers before turning to leave.

​Lee Yuanba complied without hesitation and followed Jiang Hao out.

​As the two of them vanished from the main tomb, those left behind sprawled across the ground breathed a collective sigh of relief, as if they had just been spared from doom.
