Chapter 241: Killing Players
Chapter 241: Killing Players
Things kept happening like this for almost half an hour before a new development occurred. He was jumping off from one place to another nonstop, following the instructions his scattered teams provided.
He killed hundreds of dark players so far without breaking a sweat. Despite this he held nothing against them, but for sure he needed to score high in this quest for the rich rewards he was promised of.
'There is a new move somewhere,' suddenly Antoan sent him this brief message after he caught up with running players and killed them.
'Tell,' he sent.
'They are gathering up,' Antoan sent, 'in the forums there is an uproar at the moment about this quest. Some smark dudes suggested they would stick together and fight as one big group.'
"That explains why the last couple hiding places were abandoned and I had to run amok amongst the village streets to catch them all," he muttered before asking: 'Coordinates?'
'Do you plan to face them head on?' Antoan was surprised, 'this their numbers are great y'know.'
'Don't worry, I can handle them.'
'They also decided to use their pets,' Antoan warned.
'Using pets is like a direct invitation for the guards to come,' Bloom sent with a sneer, 'let them do that.'
'But you'll have to face the first impact of them,' Antoan warned, 'I suggest we come with you to help.'
'No, stay where you are,' Bloom refused, 'I won't risk letting you be confined in prison for any reason.'
'Didn't you say you need to hit someone to expose him?'
'Yup, but now things are different,' Bloom sighed, 'the guards will come, and those folks won't fool around. Simply they would investigate anyone fighting there, and I can't guarantee your safety like this.'
His logic made Antoan be silent for a few moments before he sent the coordinates and added, 'if you needed our help'
'Don't worry, I won't hesitate to ask,' Bloom sent before laughing, "But mate I doubt that."
He wasn't overly overconfident, he knew perfectly well the wide gaps he had with others. First he was already higher than them in matters of levels, and he also had stronger skills to use.
His sword tornado was just a killer for large groups, and his sent to fly passive skill was something to add some fun.
"Besides the mental state differs greatly now, I'm the hunter and they are the prey," he laughed while running towards the direction Antoan gave him while gulping Hp and stamina potions on the way.
"Here you are my sweet lamps," as he reached the place these players decided to gather, he laughed loudly while his remark echoed around.
They selected a very interesting place, just near the town gates. "You are thinking about stalling for time until the quest ends, then run away," he muttered with an evil grin over his face, "sounds interesting but bad for you that your opponent is me."
"Be ready," suddenly one of these players shouted in a frightened tone, "we need to stick for almost fifteen minutes before this nightmare ends."
"Use your pets now!" another one shouted, and Bloom just watched many flashes of lights before a large number of pets appeared to shield them.
The number of this group of players was already too high, exceeding five hundred or even more. Yet Bloom never doubted his ability to crush them all on his own.
As for the pets, an equal number of them appeared and they looked quite low on level. "This is the price of using a leveler and turning monsters into pets," he sneered as he was selective in his own pets.
Like this if he summoned his own pets with their higher levels, they wouldn't face any trouble clearing a path for him even if they were outnumbered by folds like this.
But he didn't intend to do that.
If he did, he would bring a calamity over himself, or at least some sort of trouble. "I'm the one who created this quest, but I'm too a dark player myself," he muttered to himself while watching the large number of monsters coming at him.
"I can't risk being investigated, I doubt the system quest would protect me from this," he knew summoning any dark force inside the system settlement was a clear statement of your belonging to the dark side.
He was just lucky to fool the mayor of the Swor town, yet she didn't thoroughly investigate him. "She was a special case after all," he sighed before muttering, "sword tornado."
His four swords rose high up before rotating fast and hit the frontal monsters without any mercy.
Yet he didn't wait for the skill to finish and took the two old swords of his and instantly used his favorite skill Dash.
He just moved across the gap his swords created while hitting a lucky monster to evade them with his sword. Then he linked with another dash and he passed through the gap again.
"Time to just run then," he didn't intend to exhaust all his dashes or supportive skills on these flies.
So he simply started to run after his four swords which were getting closer to cross the herd of monsters in a few more seconds.
"Stab, stab, stab, stab, stab" yet his run couldn't match the speed of his flying swords and the gap made by them was already getting filled with monsters from the side.
Still each skill he used, each wave of a sword he did caused a single monster to be sent flying and clearing up the path once more.
Just as he was about to get through, a large number of skills started to fall over his head.
"-500"
"-750"
"-1200"
"-332"
A long row of damage rose up from the top of his head. "Damn, this even doesn't cause any pain at all," he laughed while letting them attack him with their weak skills.
"Finally through," he crashed one monster and sent him to the air before finally passing through the area locked by them. "Time for you darlings," he laughed while taking one Hp bottle and gulped it to restore the cumulative loss of his Hp so far.
"Scrolls" suddenly one player screamed in panic as Bloom was already pointing his swords to them, "anyone with scrolls use them now!"
"But they will kill us!" another player shouted in doubt.
"And kill him," the first player argued while Bloom didn't stand by and wait for this debate to end as he moved using his dash skill and hit a player, sending him flying to the air before linking with stabs and clearing a circle around him.
A bomb just exploded and no one could stand against it.
"Hurry," another player shouted, "any scrolls, anyone with scrolls?" he was whining more than shouting at them.
"Like these are easy to get man," one player shouted back, "the only option is to run."
"Screw those f*ckers in the forums," a player screamed while starting to run, "they are just sitting their asses safe out there and give us useless opinions."
Bloom didn't let them all escape like this as he hurriedly sent a message to Antoan to track them all. He kept running as fast as he could and used his skills to send as many as he could reach towards the back.
Yet many escaped and only around three hundreds remained behind which was a good number indeed.
"Stay away," one player screamed before Bloom sent him to crash to the nearby high walls. "It's your fault to stay here to start with."
Just as those staying behind turned around and found an escape route to the opposite direction, a new development occurred.
"The guards," one player screamed in shock, "they are coming, run run faster."
Bloom watched many branched out like a group of flies trying to run away from fire. He didn't need to care anymore about them, as the number of guards coming seemed enough to handle the situation here.
"Plus their levels are much higher," he muttered as he turned around and started to run towards a certain direction, "and they already surrounded this zone."
The guards flocked the place from everywhere, making the escape attempts of those here futile.
"Hold there," one guard shouted at Bloom who simply shouted back:
"I'm the player who started this quest. Much more are running away as we speak, clear a path now!"
His words and tone didn't let the guard any option but to do what he said after checking the truth of his words. Another player was nearby and heard his words. "I'm the one who did the quest, make way now," he tried to be smart but he was instantly hit by a spear.
"The one who launched the quest hahaha, you are funny," a guard sneered before another one landed over this player and killed him using his sword.
"They are efficient," Bloom only watched the nearby fights while running before he ended up in a main street once again. 'Where are they?' he sent to Antoan who just sent many coordinates to him followed by: 'This is all we managed to spot so far.'
'Good work,' Bloom jumped towards the nearest spot while checking on his clock, 'Keep following others and send me any updates.'
There was less than ten minutes left, and during his spree of action here a system alert suddenly popped up.
"System alert: the punitive quest time ends here."
