Chapter 1183 First Customers

Chapter 1183  First Customers

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

By the time the remaining time they had to prepare was up, a large group of players appeared within the confines of Daffors Village all of a sudden, causing a hint of shock and surprise to many of the villagers minding about their days.

Though, as everyone within the village had already been given a heads-up on their appearance beforehand, it did not take long for these people to return to what they were doing, eliciting a chuckle to escape Valyr's lips as he watched from afar.

Standing by the entrance to his shop, the young man watched as a third of the players began to kneel on the ground after some time, with many of them beginning to retch and vomit not even a few seconds later.

"Right. That used to be a thing." Witnessing this sight from afar, Valyr soon recalled a memory he'd buried deep into the recesses of his mind a long time ago, causing him to wryly smile.

"The first login was a rough one for a lot of people," muttered the young man to himself. "The flashing of various colors during the startup brought nausea and vertigo to a lot of people. Some people even had seizures because of it."

Recalling how he'd almost fainted from the vertigo the first time he appeared in Veldanyr in his past life, Valyr let out a wry chuckle, only to then continue watching the players gradually adapt to their current surroundings.

Fortunately, it only took a couple more minutes for those hit with nausea to get back up their feet, immediately focusing their attention on the sights surrounding them the moment their nausea subsided.

While that was happening, some of the more serious players began to do a few basic movements with their bodies, wanting to gauge the level of fine control they had over every movement.

Then again, it did not take long for them to realize that all of their thoughts were being sent to their bodies with perfect accuracy, allowing their bodies to move just the way they imagined. With them also realizing soon after that there was next to no latency in the thought to action process, many of these serious players began to get excited, eager to explore the vast world Greater Beyond had to offer.

Still watching the players from afar, Valyr began to grin once some of the players began to explore the village they were in.

Though most of them were exploring the village to see what other things the game had to offer them, a couple of them explored the village with a purpose, similar to Valyr when he arrived at Astarto for the first time.

'I'm guessing they're part of the organizations,' thought Valyr to himself as he watched those players. 'After all, only they would think of increasing their strength as fast as possible.'

As that thought came to mind, Valyr faintly let out a chuckle. 'Then again, that's the reason why I built this shop in the first place.'

Whoosh!

While Valyr was still slightly engrossed in his thoughts, a couple of players soon arrived at his shop, prompting him to snap back to reality as he welcomed them in.

Watching these players begin to peruse through the items he had on display, Valyr briefly thought about how NPCs would talk in such a situation, only to then discard the thought soon after.

Then, inwardly taking in a deep breath, he decided to ask them a question. "Looking for equipment, I presume?" "Yeah." One of the two players nodded at his question, their attention focused on a broadsword Valyr crafted.

With a twinkle in his eyes, the player focused more of his attention on the broadsword, only to start frowning as it looked like things weren't going his way.

Noticing the change in the player's expression, Valyr immediately understood what he was doing. "You need to obtain the [Analysis] skill first if you want more than just its name and description."

"Hmm?" Hearing those words, both players looked at each other for a bit before looking back at him with slight surprise. "You have to get a skill first to do that?"

"Yeah. Had to learn it the hard way as well." Valyr nodded, maintaining an amiable smile on his face. "There are a couple of ways to get skills out there, but the most common one is through the shops selling skill books. I'm sure they have [Analysis] there."

"…I see," replied one of the players after some time with a nod. "That's good to know."

Glancing at the other player once more, the player then returned to look at Valyr before asking with a hint of hesitation. "Er… would it be possible for you to help us obtain more information on these items?"

"New adventurers, huh?" Valyr let out a slight chuckle as he asked back.

Getting a nod from the two in response, the young man nodded back as he went ahead and activated [Superior Analysis] on the broadsword the player was looking at.

Ding!

Briefly taking a look at the screen that appeared in his vision, Valyr then moved the screen towards the player looking at the broadsword, causing the latter to be left at a slight loss for words from the amount of information he got.

"To think having [Analysis] would be this important…" At some point while the player was reading through the screen's contents, the other player moved closer to take a look at the screen as well.

"Alright. That's enough." Faintly chuckling at the words that left the player's mouth, Valyr soon dispelled the screen in front of the two, prompting them to look back at him in response.

Noticing the slight frowns on their faces, the young man slightly shrugged his shoulders. "Are you two telling me you'll just be looking at that broadsword I made?"

"Though, I don't really mind, I do have more items in this place that might suit new adventurers like you." n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Well…" At those words, the players looked at each other for a bit before letting out a wry chuckle. "This is our first time here. We're sorry."

"Oh, I'm not mad," clarified Valyr. "I'm just telling you guys that it'd be a waste if you only stop to look at one thing."

"After all, you two are my first customers in this place," he added with a smile. "Think of me giving you information on my items as a bit of extra service."

"We'll have to thank you in advance, then," replied one of the players with a slight chuckle. "As well as apologize in advance if we take too long to choose."

"I hope you don't mind, but what is this place called?" Just as one of the players was finished talking, the other player went ahead and asked Valyr a question. "Also, if you don't mind, could you tell us who you are?"

"Well, the name's Valyr," said the young man with a slight grin.

"As for the place, I haven't really given it a name yet."

"Hmm… the Crimson… no… the Azure… yeah, not that either…"

"...Huh. Yeah. That fits."

"Let's go with the Forge of Beginnings, then."
