Chapter 215: A Piece Of Cake
Chapter 215: A Piece Of Cake
"I walked through the walls, silly," Jin said, tittering.
Doctor Alan grimaced. "But that's"
"Impossible?" Jin raised a brow.
Doctor Alan closed his mouth shut. Then, he mulled for a bit. He had seen miracles after the Great Rendell's death. Practically nothing was impossible. He then looked up at Jin again. "What do you want?" His tone grew sonorous. It was a strong business voice of demand.
A clone came sauntering toward Jin with a hot jug of coffee and a tea cup. The coffee was made the Coffee Maker in. Doctor's Alan's room. It handed the hot cup to Jin. Smiling, Jin clutched his hand to the handle, and watched as the clone poured the coffee into his cup. The clone nodded, and walked away.
Jin sipped the coffee. "I've already gotten what I wanted." He didn't look at Doctor Alan when he said.
"And what might that be if you don't mind me asking?" Doctor Alan asked.
"I got to kill two of your people, and I'm working on a third one as we speak. I had some of your animals slaughtered, and I'm currently working on the deaths of two other Hunters. And, I'm about to kill you."
Doctor Alan's face remained the same. "Fine. So be it. I didn't have too long to live anyway. Dying middle aged ain't so bad. But might I ask, what I can do for you to change your mind?"
"The Successor," Jin smirked, "tell me where she is. I searched the whole placeyou suckers are pretty good at hide and seek."
"Then, I guess this is where I die," Doctor Alan's said, "that Successor will change this world." There was a sudden change in his eyes.
"Sorry ... that role is already occupied by me," Jin said. He looked down at the cup of coffee. "This is pretty good."
"It's Tanzania Peaberry Coffee," Doctor Alan said, "the tastiest there is. It's the kind that'll make you change your mind about ending this world and making it anew. But this world is already gone," Doctor Alan said.
"Tell me something I don't know," Jin said.
"What's your name?" Doctor Alan asked. "As my killer, the least you can tell me is who you are so that I can know who's killing me. Perhaps a vengeful client of mine? A past, now transgendered ex wife?"
"I'm Jin Pierce," Jin said, "the God of Deception." His eyes glowed violently green.
"So you're a Successor too, huh?"
Jin smirked.
"I smell you," Doctor Alan sniffed, "and you don't smell like you're any stronger than our Successor. It's likely that you'll lose against her. So if I tell you where she is nowof what benefit would that be to you?"
"A small spar," Jin said, "it's not all about the numbers, y'know. I've beaten a lot of opponents who were a lot stronger than I am."
Suddenly, there was a loud siren. The room started flashing red, and then going dark. Jin appeared as but a silhouette to Doctor Alan, but that green glow in his lingered, juxtaposed.
"God damn it," Doctor Alan shook his head, "if only they were a few minutes earlier."
"Indeed," Jin smirked, "but I'd be upset if they were. You are, after all, my ticket to the domes."
Doctor Alan didn't know what to say. He'd odometer many horrible deeds, so he knew that there was no paradiseno heavenfor him in the afterlife. What could he say to someone with eyes like Jin's. What could be his final words. After a brief moment of thought, he simply forced a smiled.
Jin smiled back.

Ryan bolted up from his bed at the speed of sound and made it to his feet. Sirens were sounding throughout the room. It had been months since the lights flared red like this. He put on his black suit, and sauntered out of the room.
He walked down the halls, and saw nothing happening. He fixed his jaw. There was perhaps an instrument. The base emergency alarm was never triggered for anything trivial. And an intruder was not a trivial thing.
He first wanted to ensure that the Mayor was safe. Serious, he walked up to a black metal door. He placed his palm upon the door and it immediately slid upon autonomously. He walked into the room, and saw blood on the mattress. Doctor Alan absence was crystallized. He simply shook his head and saw himself out of the room.
Doctor Alan was dead.
Ryan furrowed his brows as he turned a corner.
There he saw more than thirty of the same man fighting Alexandro. He started walking through the battle, not bothering to meddle or intervene. He knew better than to fight a battle that wasn't his.
While walking through the alley, a few of Jin's clones attacked him. As soon as they raised their arms to attack him, they started jolting and dropping like cards. While this happened, Ryan simply walked, a few blurs left his body, but he never stopped walking.
Another clone stood before him. More than a thousand strikes hit that clone under it went pitching across the room. Ryan's knuckles were bleeding, but to others, it looked as if he hadn't even raised them. He continued on with that calm gait as if he hadn't been bothered.
The presences of these clones were too weak to be considered humans. They were trivial so he didn't bother spending time fighting them. He was looking for the man responsible for this intrusion. He opened his bleeding hands and then closed then again. He clenched his jaw.
He turned a corner, and there he saw Jin, sitting on a stool, drinking a cup of coffee.
"Bright and shine," Jin said.
***
Alexandro's clothes were being ripped off of him. He got hit over a hundred times and yet he was still standing. He had just defeated all of the clones. He stood, his hair messy, panting loudly.
Lindane was in his sight. She was on the floor. He wheezed. He was about to turn around when Jin came crashing down on him. There was a shcokwave that hit him in his temple. He went spinning in air. Then, he collapsed, sprawled out on the floor.
Jin smirked.

Cliff appeared right next to him. There was a warping sound. Cliff looked down at Alexandro's body.
"He's just sitting at zero HP because he's unconscious," Cliff said, "basically you defeated him ..."
Jin looked at Cliff. "So ... ?"
"So ..." Cliff said, "are you gonna leave this one alive?"
Jin smirked as he vanished.
Cliff looked down at Alexandro, shook his head, and vanished as well.

Ryan stopped and started glaring at Jin. He seemed thoughtful. Scrutinizing Jin, he was like a robot. He looked at him from head to toe. Then, he carried his head back up to the head.
"You're weak," Ryan said, "you're really weak."
"Ain't had to tell me that twice," Jin said.
"Where is Doctor Alan?" Ryan asked.
"He's dead," Jin sipped from cup, "can you tell me where the little girl is so I could her too?"
"What do you want?"
"None of your business," Jin said.
Ryan mulled for a bit. Then he asked, "Are you a Successor?"
Jin smirked.
"How low is your health? I can see that you've been fighting quite a few of my comrades," Ryan asked. "I wish to battle you ... right now. If you're too low, I'll postpone and find you some other time."
Jin looked at his screen.
[HP: 42/90]
"Ninety out of ninety," Jin said.
"That's more than enough," Ryan said, balling his fists.
He suddenly lunged toward Jin at the speed of sound. Jin couldn't even react. He started getting bolting punches to his body. When suddenly he closed his hand, and a slashed at Ryan when he was off-guard.
Ryan's eyes widened. There was a massive green explosion that sent him pitching through a wall. Smoke cleared. He was covered in rocks. He quickly dashed to his feet again.
He relaxed his shoulders, and deflated.
He looked around. Right. Left. Jin wasn't there. He clenched his jaw and dashed down the hall and looked right. Jin was gone.
His apathetic eyes went sullen again. He simply walked away.

Jin was walking the road with his hands in his pockets, his hood over his head and his back hunched. A clone was right behind him, with Doctor Alan's corpse slung over its shoulder.
Jin was headed to the village again: the village that was protected by the great walls.
He sighed. "I'm bored."

"Well," he said, "at least I did gain quite a bit from that little raid."
The clone smirked. "We did."
"I did."
"We," the clone said, "did."
"I," Jin said, "did."
Cliff appeared next to the clone.
He grimaced. "Why do you have it toting a corpse for? What do you want with a dead man?"
"He's a ticket," Jin said.
"What about Alexandroyou've had trouble with him many times before and you're just going to leave him alive?"
"He's," Jin said, "a ticket."
Cliff shook his head.
Jin pulled out a piece of cake, which was wrapped in a foil. He immediately started eating it.
Cliff licked his lips. "Where'd you get that?"
"Doctor's Alan's kitchen," Jin smirked.
