Chapter 214: Take Out
Chapter 214: Take Out
Renegade was tearing the place to shreds fighting three clones. He just couldn't hit them. When he sent an attack, the attack went straight through their bodies. The clones teased him as they fought. They made him explode multiple times.
"I'M GOING TO DESTROY YOU PESKY THINGS!"
A clone appeared before and stuck its tongue out.
Renegrade gritted his teeth, and lunged toward the clone. The clone vanished. Renegade burst through the wall.
He went bursting toward a room full of wires and circuits. A clone twerked before him. Moving its behind in a circular motion, and smacking it with a hand. Renegade screamed atop his lungs, and went up in a fiery explosion. The explosion sounded. The fire burnt some of the wires. There were tanks of water that was burst. The room star the to flood.
A clone reappeared, tugging a wire from a wall.
The clone then thrust the wire into the water in which Renegade stood. "See ya!"
"NO WAIT"
There was an explosion of fire and electricity. Renegade shuddered endlessly, his eyes rolling up into his head. Blood running down his eyes. Then, he collapsed. His body slammed into the floor.
Jin smirked, jamming his hands into his pockets while walking away.

But the fight wasn't yet over. Jin was only getting started.
***
Lindane had been fighting three clones at once. Jin had assigned the clones to the task of not letting Lindane touch the emergency button, at least not until he defeated a few people more. But Lindane had to touch the button or the government official could be in danger, as well the successor, and Ryan, the greatest Hunter.
Lindane ducked two seconds before a clone sent a punch. But another one kicked her to her back. She stumbled forward. She dashed right a second before a clone jabbed. She dodged, staggering on her feet. A clone hit her to her temple. She staggered more and almost fell.
She started whispering to herself as she dodged multiple attacks, some at once, only failing a significant few times. Then, the rate of failure exerbated. The clones were attacking relentlessly.
Lindane dodged again. She furrowed her brows. "Alexandro, I'm gonna need some help over here!"
Alexandro was busy fighting more than twenty clones at once. He had a friend who was quite competent with teleportation once. That was before he killed him. He learned that when a being clones himself, his consciousness is split. The more clones, the more difficult it is to get in the brains of the clones. Hence, dumber clones the more of them there are.
These twenty clones he was fighting were but easy targets for him. But sometimes, they would draw that green dagger.
He had defeated a few, but they just kept coming in numbers overwhelming to him. He dodged. He teleported. He slammed two heads together and teleported again. "My hands are a little tied here, Lindane!"
Lindane creased her brows. "Then untie them!" She was a trifle confused when it came Alexandro's decision. She dodged. Why hadn't he reported the matter to higher-ups via his teleportation ability? She knew well he could have slipped away from
this battle, or even hit the emergency button anytime he desired. Why was he holding back?
Whatever it was that deterred Alexandro from getting word to the higher-ups, it wasn't Lindane'd business. She had no right as a C-rank Hunter to question an A-rank. Rumors had it that Alexandro had even killed one who questioned his choices excessively. Lindane wanted nothing to do with him.
And so, she had to hit the emergency button herself.
The clones were surrounding her. There were five of them now. She couldn't get to the button when the clones were blocking the way. If she were to be too close to a clone, she could use her prediction ability to predict its next move but wouldn't be able to dodge in time.
She dodged an attack again. She had to simply take a few hits to get to the emergency button. One of these hits could make her wound up dead, but this was a risk she was willing to take to protect the people of the base from a murderer like the masked figure, Jin Pierce.
A clone jabbed her across her face. Her head veered in the direction of the punch. She received another jab in the opposite direction. She pay blood and staggered backward.
A clone kicked her to her stomach. She staggered backward. She just had to keep her stance. Another clone puncher her again. She walked backward. A clone kicked her. Two clones jabbed her at once. Another kicked her to her back. And in the midsts of all this, she was able to stay standing, doing her best to get closer to the red emergency button behind her.
She staggered backward. Then again after a clone sunk a fist into her left eye. She groaned. That eye was more than crushed. Her vision went blurry. She became dizzy.
She shuddered as she tried to stay standing. When suddenly, a clone dashed forward and slammed its palm into her chest. A huge shcokwave left the man's palm and sent her pitching across the room. Her head slammed against the floor. She slid on her back.
This was her chanceshe was closer to the emergency button than ever. She leaped to her feet, dodging a forthcoming attack. She clenched her teeth, and dashed toward the emergency stop button.
She raised her fists, balled them and sent them right through the glass that covered the button. Her knuckles crashed into the button. Immediately, sirens sounded throughout the halls. The entire building started to flash in red.
Lindane looked around, and then finally, collapsed.

Jin perched on the bed a man upon which a man in a suit laid. The man posssed blonde hair, with same areas of grey, a chiseled face, and scar on his face. He was sleeping soundly when out of nowhere Jin spoke.
"Good morning, Doctor Alan."
The man heard his name and opened his eyes. He bolted upright. Then, he saw Jin, leering at him from the corner of his eyes.
His eyes widened. "Who are you?" He looked around. "How did you get in here?"
"I just ... walked in," Jin said, standing. He walked over to a chair that faced Doctor Alan and sat on it.
"That's impossible," Doctor Alan said, "My doors are thicker than my body and stronger than metal!"
"I walked through the walls, silly," Jin said.
"But that's"
"Impossible?" Jin raised a brow.
Doctor Alan closed his mouth shut. Then, he mulled for a bit. "What do you want?" His tone grew sonorous. It was a strong business voice of demand.
A clone came walking toward Jin with a jug of coffee and a cup. It handed the cup to Jin. Jin clutched his hand to the handle, and watched as the clone poured the coffee into his cup. The clone nodded, and walked away.
Jin sipped the coffee. "I've already gotten what I wanted."
"And what might that be if you don't mind me asking?" Doctor Alan asked.
"I got to kill two of your people, and I'm working on a third one. I had some of your animals slaughtered, and I'm currently working on the deaths of two other Hunters. And, I'm about to kill you."
Doctor Alan's face remained the same. "Fine. So be it. I didn't have too long to live anyway. Dying middle aged ain't so bad. But might I ask, what I can do for you to change your mind?"
"The Successor," Jin smirked, "tell me where she is. I searched the whole placeyou suckers are pretty good at hide and seek."
"Then, I guess this is where I die," Doctor Alan's said, "that Successor will change this world."
"Sorry ... that role is already occupied by me," Jin said. He looked down at the cup of coffee. "This is pretty good."
"It's Tanzania Peaberry Coffee," Doctor Alan said, "the tastiest there is. It's the kind that'll make you change your mind about ending this world and making it anew. But this world is gone," Doctor Alan said.
"Tell me something I don't know," Jin said.
"What's your name?" Doctor Alan asked. "As my killer, the least you can tell me is who you are so that I can know who's killing me. Perhaps a vengeful client of mine? A past, now transgendered wife?"
"I'm Jin Pierce," Jin said, "the God of Deception."
"So you're a Successor too, huh?"
Jin smirked.
"I smell you," Doctor Alan sniffed, "and you don't smell like you're any stronger than our Successor. It's likely that you'll lose against her. So if I tell you where she is nowof what benefit would that be to you?"
"A small spar," Jin said, "it's not all about the numbers. I've beaten a lot of opponents who were a lot stronger than I am."
Suddenly, there was a loud siren. The room started flashing red.
"God damn it," Doctor Alan shock his head, "if only they were a few minutes earlier."
"Indeed," Jin smirked, "but I'd be upset if they were. You are, after all, my ticket to the domes."
Doctor Alan smiled.
