Chapter 383: Chapter 383 - The Unexpected Savior
In an instant, Broken's body was yanked violently, and before he could react, he was teleported. He slammed into a hard stone floor, skidding painfully across the surface. Quickly, he shifted into a defensive stance, eyes darting around the room. It was a vast chamber, dimly lit by crystal lamps in every corner. But what caught his attention most was the figure seated on a throne at the far end of the room.
Beside the throne sat a massive demon beast, resembling a camel but with an eerie, unnatural presence.
"Oh... my new slave has finally arrived," the woman on the throne said. "I never thought it would be this easy to acquire one."
Broken staggered to his feet, struggling to make sense of the situation. He studied the woman before him—a striking figure with long, dark hair cascading down her back, draped in flowing black robes. A silver crown sat upon her head, gleaming ominously in the dim light.
His heart sank as he pulled up her information.
[Duke Gremory - Vampiric Duchess Demon Lv. 258]
[Named Demon - Ranking 56]
Broken's eyes widened in disbelief. This was no ordinary enemy-he was standing face to face with one of the most dangerous demons he had ever encountered! His pulse quickened as the gravity of the situation sank in.
A Named Demon! His eyes fixed on the woman seated at the far end of the grand room. Her crimson gaze locked onto him, radiating power and malice. She wasn't just any Named Demon -her rank wasn't in the 70s or 60s, but 56. Even higher than Flauros.
His mind raced as he glanced back at the notification that appeared when he was teleported
here.
[You have been forcibly transported into a private domain, Level 250. Duke Gremory's Throne Room (Vampiric Duchess Demon, Rank 56)]
Damn, a private domain? And level 250?
He exhaled sharply, fully grasping the gravity of the situation. For the first time, his Domain Boundless Access Passive skill was completely useless. He couldn't leave this domain unless its owner allowed it-or he managed to kill them.
"So, are you awestruck by my level?" the woman's voice echoed through the chamber, low and resonant, filling every corner with its ominous weight. "Because it's almost twice yours?"
A chill ran down Broken's spine. This wasn't just a battle for survival anymore- he was facing a being far more powerful than anything he had encountered before.
But how did she know his level? "Does this demon have some kind of advanced Perception skill?" His thoughts raced. "And if she knows my level, how much more does she know? Is it just that—or could she be aware of my status as a Divine Champion as well?"
His mind spun through the possibilities, each one more unsettling than the last. If she knew about his status, things could get far more dangerous than he'd ever anticipated.
The woman rose from her throne, her black robe trailing along the floor as she took slow, deliberate steps forward. Her long legs moved with an unnerving grace, and her heels clicked ominously, filling the room with their echo.
"Anyone who enters this place can never leave. And now... because you are already here, you're mine."
Each step she took brought her closer to Broken, the air growing heavier with tension. The uncertainty, the crushing pressure-everything about this encounter felt suffocating. Her power was overwhelming, her level far beyond anything he had ever faced.
"Can I even kill her alone?" The doubt gnawed at him as Gremory approached.
"And..." she purred, her long, sharp nails brushing lightly against his left shoulder, sending a cold shiver down his spine. "I didn't expect my catch-what I thought was a small cockroach -to be... such a jackpot." Her crimson eyes gleamed with amusement as she assessed him, lips curling into a dangerous smile.
"What do you want?" Broken responded, his voice steady.
"Oh... hu hu hu," she laughed softly, covering her mouth with the back of her hand. "What do I want? It's simple... you. I want you to stay here forever, so I can drink your blood for all eternity. Doesn't that sound delightful? Being my captive... for all time?"
She stepped closer, her tone growing more sinister. "And since you're a Divine Champion, it will make me even stronger, help me climb the ranks. Wouldn't that benefit you too? Being the slave of a higher being... it's not so bad, is it?"
"Sorry, but I'm not interested in your offer," Broken shot back. "And that's not going to happen. So... you'd better forget it."
Gremory's smile faltered briefly. "Oh? You think you have a choice?"
"You think you can fight me? Kill me? No... there's no way you could win. And..." she paused, studying his face more intently.
"What are you? What kind of Divine Champion? Which god blessed you with such a status?" Broken narrowed his eyes. Why was she asking this? It seemed she didn't have complete knowledge of him-just a hint that he was a Divine Champion.
"If you think you know everything, why not guess for yourself?" he replied.
Gremory laughed, a soft, mocking sound. "Ha ha ha." With a snap of her fingers, thick, blood- like liquid surged up from the ground, wrapping around Broken's legs and body, holding him
in place.
"Let's find out," she said. The grip of the blood tightened, rendering Broken immobile, as the cold, oppressive force wrapped tighter around him.
The blood coiled around him tightly, quickly draining his health. He could only watch as his life force ebbed away. The blood didn't restrict his ability to move or cast skills—it just rooted him in place, preventing any escape.
"See... now you understand just how powerful I am," Gremory said, stepping closer. She raised her hand to his face, making a small cut, drawing blood that dripped onto her fingertip. She licked the blood off her finger, her eyes gleaming. "Uhm... it's so delicious... surprisingly," she murmured with a thin smile. "I've never tasted blood like this."
Her gaze sharpened, locking onto him with an intensity that made the air feel heavier. "I'm certain you're one of the Divine Champions. But which one hardly matters... What matters is that I've found a new source of pleasure."
Gremory stood taller, her face alight with enthusiasm, a thin smile creeping across her lips. "I'm going to savor this moment, drinking the blood of a Divine Champion!" Then, with a commanding voice, she declared, "Now, submit to me and kneel before me!"
The blood coiled tighter around Broken, forcing his body to bend. He resisted, muscles straining against the unnatural force, but the restraint continued pulling him downward,Nôv(el)B\\jnn
trying to force him to kneel.
"You can try to force me!"
"Of course I will force you!" Gremory sneered. "And I'll show you just how insignificant you are in my presence!" Her right hand tightened, claws extending as she aimed a deadly strike at
Broken's shoulder.
But just as her claws were about to pierce him, something intercepted the attack. A figure appeared between them, deflecting the blow with a swift flick of a dagger. In a blur of motion, the newcomer unleashed a rapid series of strikes, forcing Gremory to retreat. She vanished momentarily, only to reappear farther away, her eyes narrowing in surprise.
"Who is that?" Broken asked, caught off guard by the unexpected savior.
