If it was true that Yu Dong's husbands were harmed then Gu Zedong was certain that she would suffer as well. "Or we can invite her?" Old Madam Gu offered.

"No, don't if you call her then she will kill me too," Kong Tai's nerves burned and frayed as he couldn't withstand any more pressure. He clung onto his wife's sleeves and pursed his lips before confessing, "Mumu…Mumu she sent those mers to people who like to eat human meat."

"What? Eating human flesh as food? You sent the husbands of my boss to such people?" Gu Ke Jin was suddenly agitated as she turned to look at Kong Tai. "One of them is pregnant! How can you even think of doing such a thing? No wonder Miss Yu was furious!" If she was in her shoes even Gu Ke Jin would have wanted to kill Gu Mu!

Who cared about them being related to one another by blood?

Even Lin Jing was shocked. He thought that at most Gu Mu and Kong Tai would have tried to find trouble with Yu Dong's husbands, what he never expected was that they would actually do something so ruthless. They actually planned to send those mers to cannibalistic people?

Why didn't they head down to offer their own flesh if they were going to do something so stupid?

Old Madam Gu clenched the head of her cane as she looked at the mer behind her daughter. She knew that this matter was fishy from the start, for Gu Mu to come out of the yamen and even try to push Yu Dong's husbands into such a mess.

With her granddaughter's wits, there was no way she would be able to come up with this plan. She must have been used by someone as a pawn and Gu Mu being a fool that she was, she didn't even realize that someone was using her!

Old Madam Gu rubbed her forehead before ordering in a stern voice, "Just deal with her funeral as per the rules. There is no need for any fuss."

She glanced at Kong Tai before moving her eyes to the corpse that was covered completely by a white cloth. "I do not want to hear her name again in this house." For a woman as selfish as Gu Mu who only wanted to satisfy her own ego and didn't care about her own family, Old Madam Gu didn't even want to look at her.

With a huff, she turned on her heels and strode out of the courtyard, Lin Jing and Gu Ke Jin were the same. They couldn't care less about Gu Mu after finding out what she had done. This could bring chaos to their family if this matter was not dealt with properly and in case Yu Dong refused to let this incident slide then the ones who would suffer would be them!

'It's over,' Kong Tai thought as he slid on the floor with a look of disbelief on his face. He knew that this was how it was going to be, now that the truth was out, who would even take a look at him? He would be left alone in this house.

"Wife…" Kong Tai raised his head and looked at his wife with a panicked expression. Now he was worried that even Gu Zedong would leave him, after all, without his daughter only his wife was his pillar of support!

However, as soon as he raised his head, Kong Tai met with Gu Zedong's extremely disappointed expression. She looked down at him with disgust clouding her eyes as she questioned, "Is this what you are teaching Gu Mu all this time? Did you teach her that she was more important than the family itself and she could do anything?"

"You are disgusting," Gu Zedong pulled her sleeves from Kong Tai's grip. She didn't mind spoiling Gu Mu but this was not the result of just spoiling, this was the result of continuous brainwashing, where Kong Tai made her daughter believe that she was more important and superior to the entire Gu family.

In fact, she was at fault as well. She had been blinded by the sweet words of this mer to the point that she didn't even notice that he was blinding leading her into a pit where he wanted her to be!

She darted another look at Kong Tai before walking out of the courtyard.

Just like that, the one thing that Kong Tai feared the most ended up happening.

She turned to look at the closed door on her left and sighed, though she couldn't understand what led to this but from what she found out from the five mers, Yu Dong had locked herself inside her room.

It was so worrying that even Sun Jie who had no idea what was going on, felt something happened and was now standing outside Yu Dong's room while sulking!
