Her husband was apathetic through and through, even when they were married and shared a bed, Lin Jing stared at her as if he was doing something monotonous. "I did. And I will do it again if you make me angry," stated Lin Jing coldly. "I already told your lover that I will not take it lightly if he tries to harm my daughter or son anymore. Do you think that only his daughter is worthy of your affection then what about mine?"

"Where should Ke Jin go and cry about her grievances when she is wronged? Can you not see that you have turned our daughter into an emotionless fool because she had no one to rely on?" Lin Jing stated with a cold voice causing Gu Zedong to raise her head and look at Gu Ke Jin who was staring at her with disappointment.

"I did..didn't mean that——" Gu Zedong didn't want to harm Gu Ke Jin, she just thought that since Gu Ke Jin was better than Gu Mu, she would be fine and nothing else.

"You didn't mean what?" Lin Jing cut her off as he raised a brow. "Your lover and his daughter planned to kidnap Yu Dong's husband and maybe they even succeeded. From the looks of it, they must have done something really terrible to her husbands which caused Miss Yu to lose her temper, as she is not an unreasonable woman."

His eyes narrowed as he glared at Kong Tai who was hiding behind Gu Zedong while shivering in fear. "Your kind lover has caused such a tragedy for my daughter, now tell me who is going to pay her for the loss that she would suffer once Yu Dong kicks her out of the job!"

"He has ruined my son as well my daughter's future, tell me what and when it will stop Gu Zedong!?"

Lin Jing really wanted to ask this question to his wife for ages but he never did because he did not want to cause trouble for his daughter by disrupting the peace of their family Kong Tai had already achieved it so what was the point of keeping peace on the surface?n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Gu Zedong didn't have an answer to Lin Jing's question as she truly couldn't understand what was going on with Kong Tai. He was such a kind and gentle mer, how could he even think of kidnapping and harming someone? However, the truth was different from her expectations.

All her life Gu Zedong was willing to be fooled but now even if she wanted to fool herself, she couldn't do it because the truth was that there was something wrong with Gu Mu.

Kong Tai stayed quiet as he hid behind Gu Zedong, he knew that his wife wouldn't hurt him as she couldn't bear to do so. However, under the gaze of the people in the courtyard, he stuttered, "Not...Nothing much. I don't know."

Old Madam Gu knew what was going on in the head of the mer hiding behind her daughter. She narrowed her eyes and stated coldly, "Either you tell the truth or I will send Ke Jin and ask her to bring Miss Yu here, if your daughter was wronged then we will have to question Miss Yu and ask for an explanation.

After all, we need to know what kind of sin Mu Mu committed for her to be killed in such a ruthless way."

When Kong Tai heard that Old Madam Gu was going to call Yu Dong, he shuddered. If Yu Dong came here, then wouldn't she kill him too because he was the one who gave birth to Gu Mu who harmed her husbands?
