Chapter 168 Angel Hunting
Chapter 168 Angel Hunting
[Skill : Ruler of Gravity, activated.
With the activation of one of Abaddon's newer skills, the weaker beasts were immediately crushed into a meaty past when gravity increased 100 fold.
Others found their movement speed slowed to a crawl and simply relied on long range attacks to bring down their foe. However, Abaddon's diamond-like scales remained largely unfazed by some of the weaker attacks.
The phoenixes were particularly aggressive, assailing him with several blasts of high intensity flames.
'Insignificant.'
Abaddon's twin heads worked in unison to clear away enemies.
While the left head fired of blasts of dark purple flames, the right one spewed blast after blast of terrible electricity.
The result was the utter annihilation of any and everything struck by his terrible powers.
As notification after notification flashed in his mind, the dragon finally remembered the task he needed to complete if he wanted to pass this trial and save Malenia.
'I can't just rampage, I need to get to her quickly.'
Abaddon looked at the enemies before him that were still alive.
Out of the legion of monsters he'd just annihilated there were only around roughly a hundred left.
He was regretful hat he did not think of this idea when there were greater numbers but he had no time to be stuck in the past.
Reaching out with his consciousness, he entered the hearts and minds of every beast in a nearby radius.
He felt some kind of resistance blocking him, however he was easily able to push past it and give the beasts new desires.
'You want to find the fallen angel. You desire to be praised by me for finding her.'
After a moment the animals split up into two groups, one heading north and the other south.
[Skill: Split body, activated.
Abaddon separated his massive body and followed behind each of the herds while they sniffed and hunted for his companion.
The god watched all of this with a disbelieving gaze.
'He... He is in possession of one of the wills of life? How is that possible!?'
He did not understand.
How could a mortal not even 100 years old be in possession of one of the greatest powers in all of the realms.
Even against he who was a mere low-level god, his power to manipulate desire was more than enough to wrest the beasts from his control.
'Jaldabaoth... A single world is too little of a reward!'
The entity felt like he had been cheated.
Alas, it was too late to lament and Abaddon was already on the path to finding his feathered companion.
As he soared through the sky, he was constantly eyeing the earth below to monitor the progress of his new furry minions.
In an effort to make sure their progress was not halted for even a single moment, he was constantly defending them from other beasts that sought to attack them.
With a roar, Abaddon rained down huge spears of ice onto the opposing beasts.
The hellish hail pierced through the bodies of beasts without any resistance and painted the green earth red.
'I need more help'
[Spell : The Goal of All Life is Death, activated.
The blood flowing from the wounds of the animals suddenly congealed and took on a life of it's own.
Once the blooded were formed they also took part in the search for Malenia.
As more and more ground was covered, one of the direwolves suddenly let out a beckoning howl and both halves of Abaddon flew full speed in it's direction.
Sitting on an altar bound by golden ropes was the angel herself although she looked to be in some sort of trancelike state.
The dragon reformed his body and landed directly in front of his companion.
Shrinking back down into human form, he warily approached the delirious angel.
"Malenia? Are you alright?"
His voice seemed to snap her out of her strange trance and she looked down at her body bound in golden ropes.
"Ora? Master I didn't know you had such a fetish~ I would be more than happy to-"
Smack!
Fed up, Abaddon gave the perverted woman a hard smack on the back of the head.
Unfortunately, it seemed as though his attempt to chastise her had the opposite effect.
"Ahh master is so rough!" The smell of arousal coming off her body was so strong it was nauseating. Abaddon knew if he hit her again it would only push her over the edge and leave a bigger mess.
"Just once, I'd like for one of my subordinates to be normal..." The dragon muttered.
Sharprning one of his claws, he cut through Malenia's bindings and set the beautiful woman free.
She looked a bit disappointed, but in the next moment a flash of light appeared and the owner of the dungeon was before them.
"Master! Get back!" The angel did not waste any time in drawing her whip and placing her body between the god's and her master's.
The dragon was really quite amused.
It was not often that someone moved to protect him like this, even if he did not need it.
Even the god found his position to be quite an enviable one.
"You have done well. It was not as easy to kill you as I thought it would be."
"You will not be the last to have that profound realization."
"HAHAHAHA, I SHOULD HOPE NOT!"
With a smile that neither of them could perceive, he waived his hand and the two of them vanished from the space.
Once they were gone, the muscular god began to laugh loudly once again.
He was not upset that he could not kill Abaddon, far from it actually.
Today he had gotten to see a power that even the gods coveted in action.
When he recalled the dragon's decisiveness and terrible power, he realized it would not be long before such a person joined the ranks of the gods.
'Let's just hope that he holds no grudges for what was done today.'
-
Clang!
Clang!
Bang!
No matter how many times he saw it, the rabisu general Absalom would never understand this strange pupil of his.
Standing across from him and panting slightly was a young girl with golden blond hair and blue eyes.
Wearing casual training clothes and holding a small iron sword, she did not look very menacing.
Only he knew the truth.
The second princess was utterly frightening. Any weapon she picked up she could use almost flawlessly after only a few minutes of practice. Her stamina, agility, and endurance were all well above the norm for a human child.
When she first asked him to train her, he immediately said no.
Only when she begged and pleaded on the verge of tears did he relent and promise to train the young girl. However, it came with the condition that she was not allowed to complain that his training was 'too hard.'
From the beginning, Thea never complained. She showed up on time every day and she always prodded her master to train for just an hour or two longer.
The ancient demon was just as amused as he was exhausted.
'Is it because of the divine element?'
Stabbing his sword into the ground, Absalom finally breathed out a sigh of relief. "Alright, second princess. That's enough for today."
Thea immediately looked dejected. "R-Really? Can't we go for just a bit-"
"No."
In a flash, Absalom's body blurred and he disappeared from the private training area constructed behind the manor.
Thea sighed before sheathing her sword and heading inside.
She was a bit disappointed that training was over so soon but at least she could go and spend time with her doting mother and cute sister.
That night when Thea lay in bed next to Mira, her dreams consisted of visions of her being strong enough to fight alongside her family.
Within the dreams, Thea was a fair bit older and was every bit as monstrous as her father.
She looked a bit different from her usual appearance though. Her bright blond hair was now a dark purple and her bright blue eyes were a scarlet red.
Her entire body was covered in black imposing armor that she felt did not hide enough of her assets.
Would she become less modest in the future?
'Is this the reality you wish to create?'
'Yes.' Thea was not alarmed by the strange voice in her head, and she answered without hesitation.
'To get here, you will have to sacrifice. Are you prepared?'
Memories flashed in her mind of her parents and all of the sacrifices they had made throughout their lives.
If she made this sacrifice now, would it be enough to ensure that they never had to do so again?
That very hope was enough for her to make a decision.
'I am prepared! I will repay my family's kindness!'
'Well said.'
Thea's body broke apart into millions of fragments of light. The fragments flew out of a nearby window and the young princess was carried somewhere in the stars above.
After a few moments Mira stirred, no longer feeling the warmth of her older sister.
"Thea?"
