Chapter 167 The Dungeon Of Anguished Beasts!
Chapter 167 The Dungeon Of Anguished Beasts!
After a full day of flying at their fastest speed, Abaddon and Malenia were finally nearing the site of their first dungeon.
The dragon was glad to have made it, if for no other reason than to put an end to his fallen angel's pointless questioning.
"What kind of women does master like?" Malenia suddenly asked.
"My wives." Abaddon's answer was short and without delay.
"That's not what I mean!"
"That is the only answer you are going to get."
Malenia thought hard as she flapped her feathered wings rhythmically. "If I don't ask any more personal questions for the rest of the trip, then will you answer?"
"Do you actually believe yourself to be capable of holding up your end of the bargain?" Abaddon wanted to simply brush her off but the promise of total silence was too good to ignore.
"I will! I promise!"
"I suppose... I like kind women."
"Is... that all?"
"That is all that matters."
Abaddon's answer wasn't that complicated.
To him, all that really mattered was a woman with a large heart who could get along well with the family he already had.
Perhaps it was because his answer was so simple that Malenia was so surprised.
She was expecting his requirements to be more lengthy and shallow, yet they were the furthest thing imaginable.
'Perhaps I do not know him very well after all.'
The rest of the trip was travelled in uninterrupted silence, giving Abaddon the peace of mind he had so been looking for.
Nearing the site of the first dungeon, the fallen angel decided to stop thinking about useless things for the time being so that she did not disappoint her master.
The dungeon of anguished beasts was located in the center of an island surrounded by a large lake.
The portal to the domain of the dungeon masters was lying flat on the ground, guarded by a full squadron of human guards.
When a demon and a fallen angel landed directly in front of them, they almost did not care.
Even though they were supposedly evil, these two were the most beautiful beings they had ever seen.
Malenia attracted the most attention. Her short black maids outfit gave a few of the soldiers horrible nosebleeds.
However, atleast one of the soldiers was able to recover the sense of mind to do his job.
"I-I'm sorry but I'll need to see some kind of identification..."
"You fuckers!"
Had Abaddon not placed a hand upon Malenia's shoulder at the last moment, all of the men present would be missing a head.
The gazes she felt upon her body were extremely unpleasant. No one was allowed to look at her lustfully besides her master!
However, Abaddon thought this might be the perfect time to play with his new powers a bit.
Since he'd evolved, the dragon had yet to use his new bloodline skill, father of desire.
Abaddon reached out with his powers and influenced the hearts and minds of all of the guards present.
'You have no desire to do this job.'
Immediately, the eyes of the guards became hazy before they seemed like they had some sort of epiphany.
"W-What am I doing... I don't want to spend my life stuck at this shitty job!"
"I wanted to be a painter!
"I wanted to be a musician!"
"I want to go home and fuck my wife!"
"I want to fuck your wife too!"
"You son of a bitch!"
While two of the guards broke out into a scuffle, the rest ran off to pursue various paths in their lives.
"Did you hypnotize them somehow?" Malenia asked curiously.
The dragon resisted the urge to scoff out loud.
Abaddon's power was no cheap hypnotic suggestion.
He was completely stripping the humans of desire in one area, and forcefully guiding it towards another.
If he wanted, he could have taken their desire to live at all and they would have killed themselves shortly after.
Such a terrifying power could only be possessed by one who was the embodiment of a core emotion.
As the dragon grew, so too would his powers.
Eventually, the desires of an entire planet would be his to toy with as easily as if they were his own limbs.
-
When Abaddon and Malenia passed through the portal to the dungeon, they were greeted with the usual dark and rocky scenery.
"Alright master, would you like me to take the lead?" Malenia asked.
"No..." Abaddon was lost in thought.
The last few times he'd been training in a dungeon with Seras, he was not transported anywhere like he was the first time.
As a result, he was less than sure about how exactly he was supposed to get to the testing grounds.
"GRRRROOOOOAAA!!!"
Abaddon and Malenia were suddenly rushed at by an enormous bear covered in red fur.
With every breath, flames spewed from it's mouth and it barreled towards the two intruders at a frightening speed.
BOOM!
Unfazed by the advance of the creature, Abaddon punched it in the head with all of his power and blew the bear and the ground 100 meters behind it to bits.
[1 Flame bear killed!
- 700 SC and exp gained.
'This is too easy.'
[Lack of proper challenge acknowledged!
'You have got to be fucking joking...'
He didn't realize accusing the dungeon trial would be this simple but when he thought about it, it did make sense.
The only reason he never thought of the previous dungeons as easy was because Seras made him run them with one arm and wearing several hundred pounds of weights.
pαпdα Й?νê|,сòМ 'I'll have to punish her for that later...'
[Sending request to entity @%#$% for a suitable alternative.
Just like before, the ground suddenly trembled furiously as if the entire cave was going to come down.
"Master?! What is happening?!"
"Easy, Malenia. This is what we came for." Abaddon said with a small smile.
In a moment, the two were engulfed in a blinding white light before they vanished from the space.
When Abaddon opened his eyes, he was standing in a land that was a mix between a jungle and a mountain range, staring face to face with a figure whose face he could not see.
All he could make out was a masculine figure clad in the hides of various animals and gold.
"Boy... I do not envy you." The entity suddenly said.
"What are you prattling on about, god?"
"The mad one, Jaldabaoth. He is offering a reward for your head."
"Oh?" Abaddon did not recall doing anything to offend any gods.
After a moment of consideration, he could only assume that it was the same one that had brought him to this world and the one Lucifer had cleansed him of.
"And what exactly is this price on my head?"
The god was silently impressed. He'd just told this mortal he was not fated to live long, yet he seemed to be unbothered.
"If I kill you, Jaldabaoth will destroy one world of my choosing, and create a new one in my image from it's ashes."
Abaddon let out an impressed whistle.
"A fitting price for a life as great as my own. Anything else would be too little."
"....HAHAHAHAHAHA! I HAVE NOT MET A MORTAL AS AMUSING AS YOU IN EONS!!" The entity's booming laughter resounded throughout the stony jungle and various animals could be heard roaring in the distance.
The god laughed for quite a while before he finally calmed down. "It is a shame that I may not take your life with my own hands but rules are rules even for one such as myself "
The god's gaze suddenly became serious as he explained his trial.
"This trial is rather simple. All you need to do is find that fallen angel of yours before my children can nibble on her succulent flesh. And you must do this without letting the more aggressive ones kill you in the process."
Abaddon immediately became alarmed and he tried to feel Malenia through their connection yet he could not find anything.
"She has nothing to do with this. Free her immediately." He growled.
Unfortunately, the god merely shook his head. "I will use whatever I must to bring down one such as yourself. You only have yourself to blame for bringing her."
With that, the god disappeared and left Abaddon alone clenching his fists in frustration.
"SKREEEEEE!!!!"
"ROOOOAAAAARRR!!!"
"AWWWOOOOOO!!!"
In the sky, in the trees and on the ground, Abaddon was surrounded by hordes upon hordes of creatures.
Direwolves, flame bears, beastmen, phoenixes and even more animals the likes of which he had never seen before.
Not wasting any time, Abaddon immediately changed into a monstrous two headed dragon.
Even in this form with his senses expanded, he could not feel Malenia and the dungeon area seemed to be much too large.
The dragon unleashed a frustrated roar that should have scared off his animalistic enemies, but it only served to rile them up even more.
Abaddon was suddenly rushed at from every possible direction.
With his presence and authority challenged so blatantly, his rage became even more fearsome.
"You lot dare bare your fangs at me? I will show you why the dragon is the king of beasts!"
