CH.526 Draconic Dhampir
CH.526 Draconic Dhampir
The next morning, Agunan asked me for permission to use the core room to finish the dragon scale blessing. He honestly didn’t need to ask, out of everyone on HomeBase, he had the right to be there, as my Dungeon Master. But perhaps because of him not asking for permission to do the blessing, he was now asking for permission for things he was already allowed to do.
I agreed, with the condition that I would be allowed to observe, as I wanted to know how this happened.
Agunan accepted, and soon enough, we found ourselves in the core room. Just me, the dragon and Ria.
Agunan was holding in his arms a tiny piece of a dragon scale. It had once been a full scale, but he had chipped pieces off of it little by little, and … well, you’ll see what has happened to those pieces.
Agunan then reverted into his dragon form, holding the tiny scale on his palm. He then used a claw to crush the scale into powder.
{Previously, I used one of those kitchen crushing bowls to do this part, but as this is the final piece, I am doing it like this.} The dragon explained, and I was about to translate for Ria, but she seemed to understand what he was saying.
She must have been practicing Draconic. Which makes sense, since you have to chant Draconic Magic in Draconic.
Agunan then made a tiny cut to his thumb and let just a drop of blood mix with the powdered dragon scale.
He then began to chant a spell, but honestly, the chant sounded more like a song. Or perhaps a poem would be more accurate. But read in a very song-like way.
The blood and dragon scale mixture began to glow softly as the spell ended, and then Agunan spoke.
{Ria. It is ready. Please, consume it.}
Ria didn’t verbally answer, just approached the dragon and with a bit of Blood Magic, guided the mix into her mouth. Based on her facial expression, Ria really enjoyed it.
I let the two enjoy the moment for as long as I could, but when Ria started to become visibly tired, I decided I had to call it.
“We should take Ria to the MedBay. Her evolution is likely starting.” I reminded Agunan.
He transformed his humanoid form, took the dhampir into his arms, and we both used our Dungeon Terminals to teleport to the MedBay.
Agunan set Ria up in an evolution tank, while I confirmed that it was set up correctly. I then left the dragon to watch over Ria.
A bit later, I was informed that Valoa had joined Ria in the MedBay. He was also evolving, like I guessed. With his really high skill levels, after he reached LV.30, he began to evolve.
But while the two of them evolve, I’m researching both the spirit waterfall and the false spirit/demon thing.
And thanks to the help of the spirits, as well as a few demons I paid to work with me, I figured out some things.
For one, those spirit/demons cannot bless people, but they can make what is effectively a spirit contract. And since a spirit contract is enough to go through a spirit waterfall, that is how those robbers got through it.
Now my only question is, how are they making these things?
My first guess would be a Chaos God Dungeon, but if that was the source of them, the Goddess would tell me. At least I hope she would.
Because if the Demon Lord was so bad that him abusing a Chaos God Dungeon resulted in a Hero summoning, why wouldn’t the Goddess ask me to deal with someone using a Chaos God Dungeon. Unless she thinks I’m not strong enough yet, in which case, why not tell me to level up faster.
And if whoever is behind these creatures is powerful enough to deal with me, what about my monsters? Janina is the strongest being I know, native to this world. And she can stand up to any of my monsters, except Armityle and Exodia.
Yes, she can win against Ra, if Ra doesn’t go Immortal Phoenix. Actually, these days she even knows how to deal with the Immortal Phoenix mode. As long as she isn’t tired or weakened from a previous match.
Oh, speaking of god cards. Odin.
He has some interesting abilities, mainly things like foresight and the ability to see through illusions, delusions and all sorts of things. And all of these abilities get even more powerful with the help of Odin’s Eye. As well as his ability to make himself immune to just about everything.
But back to Ria and Valoa. Their evolutions will soon be over, so let’s go check up on them.

Note: Ria already knew some Draconic before her evolution. She only got the Language Comprehension title after it.
Ria has definitely grown since last time. She got the ‘daily life’ skills of Cooking, Cleaning and Service. But she also learned, by herself, how to turn her Status Drain skill into both HP drain, or Life Drain as the skills name is, as well as Mana Drain. So better believe each time she hits you with her fist, you will lose a bit of your stats, HP and mana included.
Her Fire Magic evolved into Draconic Fire Magic, which is cool, and she got the two Draconic racial skills. She is, without a doubt, powerful.
For physical appearance changes, Ria now had a permanent pair of wings on her back. They were on her upper back and looked quite draconic. She also had a pair of dragon horns peeking out from under her hair. Her nails were a bit longer, and likely quite sharp. And she had some dark red scales covering some parts of her skin.
Her silver hair also had some streaks of Agunan’s red running through them, but other than that, she was still Ria.
Now, time for Valoa.

Valoa came out of the evolution not looking too different. There was just one big difference between his pre and post evolution self. He now had a tail.
Because yes, Valoa didn't have a tail. I assumed he didn’t have one because he was a half-blood, but maybe he did have one and it was forcefully cut off?
Maybe Olia assumed that the ‘baby father’ would take them in if Valoa didn’t have a tail and had it removed. I really hope that isn’t the case, but it could be. Or maybe Valoa never grew a tail because the family lacked food, so the tail was seen as unnecessary and he just never grew one.
Well, he has one now, and it looks quite fluffy. I just hope Einar and Eline don’t bother him too much about it.
With the evolutions over, the two of them wanted to test their improved stats. And Valoa needed to get used to balancing himself now that he had a tail.
Ria’s wings didn’t cause her much issue, as she has been growing wings for herself with Vampiric Body Modification for a long time.
For the tests, Valoa was fighting the adventurer students we had. Who, by the way, were more than a little frustrated by the fact that the ten year old Fox-kin is stronger than they are.
Ria on the other hand was taking on me. While her stats aren’t that close to mine, her Strength is only 1200 points less than mine. … which is admittedly a lot, but since this is just a practice match, and with Ria using Status Drain on me, she put up a good fight.
That was until she used Vampiric Body Modification to turn her wings into arms, so I responded by race changing myself to Multi-Armed, and we had a four armed slug off.
Which ended in my victory. Because while Ria is more skilled when it comes to unarmed combat, I just have too big of a stat advantage over her. My defense is nearly double hers, so her punches barely hurt me and no amount of Status Drain was going to make up for that difference.
