“... you’d think I’d get used to people sneaking into my bed, but I still have to ask, why are you here? Didn’t you leave?” I asked the dragon lady that snuck into my bed.
“And here I assumed I was original. I suppose I’ll have to try harder.” The golden haired humanoid form of Lady Janina responded.
“Yeah. Yubel tries it like every other night, even if she is most of the time pushed away by one of my girls.”
“Oh, so that is the half-demon whose soul I removed from the avatar to get her out of my way.”
“... really?”
“Yes?”
“... fine, whatever. I’ll deal with that later. First, why are you even here? Didn’t you leave yesterday?” I asked, knowing well that this wasn’t Lady Janina in a dragon avatar, but instead her humanoid form.
“Did I, or did I leave a piece of myself here? You know, for someone with as much security as you, you really can’t pick up excess people in your domain.”
“Well sorry that I assume things. And I think my monsters already picked you up on cams, but they must have assumed that was your dragon avatar. And since you have permission to be here, they didn’t sound the alarm. … but can you explain a bit better. You left, but you are also here? How?”
“It really isn’t that complicated. Remember, I’m somewhat of a copycat. And copying the skill of that Nevelle girl. Really wasn’t all that difficult.”
“... so you are a part of Lady Janina?”
“A soul copy actually, but close enough.”
“... but why? Why would she do that?”
“Don’t talk about me in third person. I’m right here you know.”
“... yeah, I kind of know, it is just … I guess I’m not sure which part of you is the original, and you did make it seem like you were the copy, and the other you is the original.”
“Fine. I’ll let it go, because you are correct. But I do want to point out that ‘original’ is wrong. Neither of us is the original. But I will accept you calling the other me the original as she does hold our body, while my body was made from the scale you gave us.”
“... meaning?”
“Meaning that I’m a lot weaker than my ‘real self’. But I do still know everything my real self knows, and everytime I rest, all of my memories sync with my ‘real self’.”
“... okay. So you are a copy made of a scale and you are weaker than the real you, but you still have all the knowledge of the original, and are in all ways the original, other than power.”
“No. I can’t actually turn into my dragon form. I’m only like the original when it comes to knowledge.”
“Yeah. Let’s ignore all of that for a second. I just have one question. Why?”
“You’ll have to be more specific than that.”
“Why would you leave a linked soul copy here? And why would you sneak into my bed?”
“... you really don’t know? Well, that is disappointing.”
“I have an idea, but I’ll have you say it or the answer is no.”
“... Fine. Because I want to have a baby. And if you remember, because of my power, I simply cannot just reproduce with anyone I want. … But with you.”
“I’m not that strong. You are the one who said it.”
“Not yet, but your growth speed is enormous. In about ten, maybe fifteen years, you’ll be at the level I need.”
“... why is that an acceptable timeframe for dragons?”
“Ask yourself that. You are a Dragon Hearted Dragon King. You will likely live to 300 or so, unless you figure out immortality by then.”
“... thanks for giving me an existential crisis. Now I have to worry about people I love dying before me.”
“Don’t worry. I won’t. And I’m pretty sure your monsters won’t either.”
“... doesn’t make it much better.”
“Well, since your companions grow at nearly the same speed as you, they will likely gain some longevity skills or races soon. And while they may not live as long as you, even they should get to at least 200.”
“... you know, you know an awful lot about humans.”
“I have a few millennia worth of information, and I may have read most of your library over the course of last week.”
“Yeah, I guess you did ask if you can visit the Factory. I just assumed you were fighting there.”
“Your Storage daughter is quite a nice company.”
“... of course she would like you. The one person actually smarter than her.”
“And you are not?”
“Do you need to ask?”
“Perhaps not, but remember, creativity is a kind of intelligence. … but I do need to ask something else. … are you fine with this? Being the father of my children?”
“... you know, I would say sure, because I honestly feel bad for you. A near immortal being forced to live forever. Wanting children but unable to reproduce because even dragons are too weak to fertilize you. … that sounded wrong, sorry.”
“Non taken, continue.”
“So yeah. And even outside of that, you are gorgeous. Almost inhumanly beautiful. Honestly, I think in terms of beauty, the only one that would win against you in a beauty show would be the Goddess.”
“Why thank you.”
“Just because you would win in a beauty show, you are not the most beautiful in my eyes, sorry.”
“... but you do think I am beautiful.”
“... Yes.” I admitted. “But back on track. I do like you. And feel bad for you. But you know it isn’t up to me. You have three others you’ll have to get to say yes. I hope you know who they are.”
“I do. And if that is what it takes, I will. Besides, I know Alice is on my side already.”
“... of course she is. Why am I not surprised?”
“Because you know her, and she is the one who kind of forced this harem on you.”
“Yeah. Would have been more simple if it was just Lua, but I guess it would have also been more boring.”
“Sometimes the simple life is the best life, but I think you would have had an exciting life no matter your relationship status.”
It didn’t take Lady Janina much to get Cailie on her side as well. Cailie does still see dragons as demi-gods, and Lady Janina is the strongest of them, so she is the leader of the demi-gods in Cailie’s eyes.
Lady Janina is also a taxi that can take us to the spirit world, and since Cailie can’t get there in other ways currently, that was also an effective card for Janina to play.
Also, I’ll now stop calling Lady Janina lady, she will just be Janina from now on. She is trying to get into my pants, literally, so she is no longer the respectful lady she used to be. She is now someone that wants me, so first names only.
… actually, would her first name be Ami? Her name is Ami Janina, right? She just always went by Janina, not Ami, so I assumed. Well, whatever. I’m used to calling her Janina, so Janina it is. And Ami is too close to Alice anyway.
But enough with her name, back to her winning over my fiancées. I assumed Lua would be the difficult one to win over, but even she folded when Janina promised Lua would get some of her dragon blood if she agreed.
And for a dhampir to get access to the highest quality dragon blood … yeah, you can imagine how that went.
So yeah. Janina is now the fourth member of my harem. … how did my life turn to this?
Thank god I at least know how to get my mind off of this stuff. And that is packs.
And today, I feel like a mix-match of sets. So I’ll do ten packs each of , , and .
That will hopefully get my mind off of things.
So let’s get to it or it will never get done.
Yeah. I expected as much. I’ve already opened like … 30 packs of Crossroads already, so I do have most of the commons, and even a lot of the rares, so nothing new is expected. Unless I get some of the higher rarity stuff. So to the next pack, and don’t expect comments from me, unless I get something new.
Okay. Got a new card, and it is a Synchro monster. Iron Chain Dragon might not be the best, but it is a Synchro, so I’ll take it.
Hopefully I can get at least one more new card from the next 6 packs.
Iron Chain Repairman is new. And I guess he is decent. He is also a repairman, so he might be able to repair some of my air/spaceships, when I finally make some.
Morphtronic Celfon is new. Somehow I didn’t have it yet. And since it is a mobile phone, sure an older style one and not a smartphone, I can definitely reverse engineer it for something useful.
Maybe an access device for my ‘Internet’ plan, whenever I actually get to work on that.
Seed of Flame is an ultra rare, and it is also new. … sadly it isn’t all that amazing. It isn’t bad, just … not that good.
Two more packs before a set change.
Virus Cannon is new, but it sucks. And despite the fact that I can probably do some OP stuff with it, I really don’t want to spread some deadly virus across the world. So Virus Cannon will fall into ‘I’ll never use this’ pile.
Nothing new in this pack, but I did get four new cards from those ten packs, so I guess that is alright.
Now a set change to Crimson Crisis, and the same rules apply, I’ll only comment if there is a new card in the pack.
Multiply is new. Not all that amazing, but it is new. Unless this is the anime variant that can make an unlimited number of weak monsters.
But even if it isn’t, it is new, so it is nice to have.
Samnite is new. But it isn’t the greatest Glad Beast I have. It is actually kind of meh. The effect is good, but the activation condition is just a bit too specific. Just allow it to search on summon, instead of this ‘when this card destroys a monster by battle’ and only if it was summoned by the effect of a Glad Beast monster.
But it is new, so I’ll take it.
Morphtronic Rusty Engine is new, despite being common. But it kind of sucks.
Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode isn’t new, I had the ultra rare version of it, but this is the ghost rare variant, so it is technically new. Sadly the Assault Mode RDA is a bit too destructive for use.
Totem Dragon is new. Sadly I don’t need to tribute summon stuff, so the effect of acting as two tributes is unnecessary.
Hyper Psychic Blaster/Assault Mode is new. And it is actually really nice. … sadly I don’t have the regular Hyper Psychic Blaster, so I can’t currently summon it, but it's still nice to have for the future.
Blackwing Armor Master is new, and it is nice. Cannot be destroyed by battle, no battle damage, and the wedge counters. All of that is amazing.
And it is another Synchro, so one closer to the next reward for the Synchro challenge.
Nothing new here. But still, I got 6 new cards from the ten packs, plus the ghost rare RDA, so Crimson Crisis did give out some nice stuff.
But enough about that, onto the next set, Raging Battle.
Brain Golem is new, and it is pretty good. It negates the effects of all Light monsters, so it might be able to negate Light attribute magic. And the double attack if it destroys a Light monster is just a nice bonus.
An Earthbound Immortal? Nice! Ccapac Apu is also one of the better ones. 3k attack and it can always attack directly. And it cannot be attacked back. Nice.
That was kind of sad. 2 new cards from 10 packs. Well, at least one of the new cards was an Earthbound Immortal.
One more set to go. Ancient Prophecy, ten packs, then I’m done.
Mistral the Silver Shield is new, and I guess it is alright. Could be better, but could be worse.
Fortune Lady Light is new. And it is fine. I just need the Field Spell to really use its effect.
… okay. There are other rares in this set than Psychic Emperor. Three of them from five packs. Really?
Just … anything else in the rare slot, please.
Koa'ki Meiru Crusader is new, but it isn’t all that amazing. Sure it works in a Koa'ki Meiru deck, but other than that, not really worth it.
Last pack. Hopefully I can get one more new card.

Ancient Prophecy really wasn’t on my side today. I only got three new cards. And I haven’t even opened that many packs of Ancient Prophecy yet.
