Chapter 137 Talking To Father (Part 2)
When Jake entered Uriel's capital city, he texted his father.
[We can't meet in the city itself. It is way too crowded. Where do you want to meet? How about the Royal Plaza? It shouldn't be as crowded.]
[Oh? Were you in Uriel before?] Peter replied quite quickly.
[I heard about it from a friend, that's all.] Jake replied, making up an answer.
[The Royal Plaza then. I don't know what is worth using ten silvers coming to Uriel.] Peter texted.
Jake sighed as he shook his head.
"I don't know how much time it will take for everyone to get used to spending in game money without hesitation. People have got to start treating in game money as in game money, and not just as real money." He thought to himself as he started walking down from the portal.
The capital of The Uriel Empire was huge. It was bigger than Diffast. Almost twice as big, and three times as crowded.
There were high rises everywhere, and this felt like a proper city. He smiled as he looked up at the city. This was the biggest city that he had stepped into in this life, and it felt nice to look at such a bustling city.
He knew the direction though. In his previous life, he spent a lot of time in a lot of different cities. As a low rung, he had to travel a lot to do the tasks that no one else wanted to do.
He went through streets and through shortcuts that only people who spent hours extra looking for them would know. Soon enough, he was at the Royal plaza that was indeed, much less crowded than any other point.
The reason? It had absolutely nothing there. No vendors, no shops, nothing. This was a place that had just the fountain and gardens.
Many thought that there was a secret objective in the plaza, maybe in the bushes or in the benches. They overturned every rock in this life and the past.

In ten years, people dedicated their lives to finding Easter eggs and the Royal Plaza just didn't have one. Jake knew that there was nothing here and those that were tying to find an Easter egg here was just wasting their time.
"Jake? Is that you?" Peter walked from the side, greeting his son with a vibrant smile.
Above his HP bar, the character name was visible.
Hundred Origins.
Jake took one look at Peter's equipment and he sighed. All of the equipment was normal. This was common grade equipment.
The father of the owner of one of the most popular stores in the world now had common equipment.
"Why can't I see your name up there?" Peter asked, looking at Jake's HP bar.
"Oh, that? I have a masking item. Guild orders. I can't remove it. Sorry dad." Jake smiled. That was obviously not true.
He just didn't want his father knowing that his son was the guild leader of the most popular guild in the world. And all of the forums were now circulating Jake's name, so he just couldn't flash it easily.
"I see. But what is with you equipment? Why is it so bad?" He asked, looking at the rusty looking armor and boots. The sword was in Jake's inventory, but if he took it out, it would attract quite a few frowns for sure.
"Oh this? This is just design. It is actually not common grade. It is higher. Don't worry. This way, no one will want to target me." Jake smiled, creating another excuse.
"Fine. Why did you come all the way here? What did you want to give me in game?" Peter asked.
"Yes. I think that it is better if we do this in even more privacy. I don't want to risk a surprise from you. People might hear you." Jake said.
"What are you talking about? You are over reacting now. What happened?" Peter asked, adamant to know.
"Come with me. Let us find a room in a hotel to do this. After this, you will need a room for yourself after all." Jake said as he started walking, not listening to what Peter was saying.
Unable to stop his son, all Peter could do was run after him.
Peter caught up to Jake, and grabbed his sleeve.
"What is wrong with you? You are asking for it." Peter barked. He had to look up though, since Jake was a head taller than his father.
"Come with me. You will understand when you see what I have to show." Jake said.
In this game of protesting and ignoring, they were already in front of a giant hotel. It was a few dozen stories tall.
Once Jake entered the hotel, Peter dignified himself and stopped saying anything. He was done fighting with his son for now.
"I would like a room for one day." Jake asked the receptionist.
"That will be ten silvers sir." The receptionist said.
"Ten silvers? You might as well rob us! This is a virtual hotel! Why does it cost so much?" Peter raged.
Jake shook his head, not knowing where he could hide it. Were all middle class fathers like this?
"Forgive my father." Jake said as he put ten silvers on the table without a flinch. He got a key card in return.
"Dad. Please don't embarrass me. I am rich, got it? I got a good bonus, think of it like that. Now then, come with me." Jake said. This time, he was the one who grabbed Peter's sleeve and dragged him to the elevator.
They got onto the elevator, with a few more NPCs there.
The players weren't in the level where they would take a hotel room for themselves. That was way too extravagant for them.
When they reached the twenty third floor, which was on the higher end, they got off, and Jake went to the room that said two hundred thirty nine.
Once they were inside, Peter couldn't handle it anymore.
"Now you have to tell me. What is worth spending twenty silvers here, and ten silvers more to get back? Do you have a set of Rare equipment or something? Or could it be, do you have Epic Equipment?" Peter asked.
At this point, all Jake had done was stoke his father's curiosity.
Jake smiled and nodded.
"I wouldn't waste my time for just the Epic grade item, though. Dad, don't you think that you should change your equipment a little? Why don't you try this?" Jake took out the sword that he got the day before.
It was the Dinosaur sword.
"What is this? Wait, is this an Epic Grade sword?!"
Peter's face was already blown away with shock, so he just wasn't equipped to deal with what was going to hit him next.
"Wait. Isn't this a class exclusive sword? What will you do giving it to me?"
But then, he saw the red gem that was in Jake's hands. And he saw the description that was written for it.
And now, he fell back to the bed that he was facing.
"And this is why I got the hotel room."
