Wisp! Awaken in the Magical World

Chapter 91: Level Three?

Alvin found it quite hard to accomplish. "We believe you had been asleep for millions or even billions of years. After all, no records remain about this Primordial Energy you mentioned. If that's the case, it is hard to believe this planet you want to visit still exists."

"And yet, I am here on this planet, am I not?" Linfel asked back. "I'm not sure if I was transported left and right during my sleep, but if I haven't, then this planet has existed since my time."

Alvin opened his MCOM and checked the geological information on the planet's internet. "From what I can see here, it is believed our Serfen Planet was formed 2,5 billion years ago... or so the geologists say. I guess it makes sense. Anyway, what's the name of this Planet you are looking for?"

Linfel took out his own MCOM and imputed the name in the search. "It is called Warfel Planet. It was Horan's birth planet. This planet and the entire galaxy around it had grown so much in power that no one dared to use the same name... or so Horan told me."

Alvin also used the same name. "Warfel, uh? I feel like I heard this name before..."

It only took a few seconds for Linfel and Alvin to find some results. "This..." Not only that but there were countless results regarding Warfel. Linfel and Alvin looked at each other and opened the first result, which was nothing less than the Warfel Official Website!

-Welcome to the Warfel Galaxy Empire Official Website.-

"I knew I had heard about it before!" Alvin couldn't help but exclaim. "It's the Warfel Imperial Family! There were quite a few classes regarding them back in school. This empire is considered the strongest power in our Universe, and its influence extends over several clusters."

Linfel was just as surprised. "Here, it says that the principal planet in that Galaxy is also called Warfel. Although I don't know if it is a coincidence or not, at least I have a clue. Well, I have way too many clues actually. There is information about this empire all over the planetary network. But...

why would this empire have an official website on such a remote planet like ours? From what is saying here, Warfel is literally located on the other side of the Universe, far from its territorial influence."

"Oh! That isn't that weird," Alvin explained. "Not only Warfel, but many other empires, democracies, alliances, and other types of powers in our Universe use this method to spread their influence. This is a very good way to attract investments and highly skilled professionals. It would be a lot harder to find an inhabited planet without an official website from these powers."

"Is that so?" Linfel was surprised to hear that. "Then it makes things easier. If I can get recruited by them, I might be able to travel to Warfel, right?"

Alvin shook his head, though. "Not from a place like this one."

"What?! Why?"

Alvin continued. "We live way too far away from Warfel. Why don't you access the interplanetary traveling websites and check about the problems with this journey?"

Linfel was curious and quickly searched for it. However, not a single one of such websites offered the option to travel to Warfel. Let alone Warfel, they didn't cover more than a small percentage of their own Galaxy. "This... why are there no spaceships going out of our galaxy?"

"Time," Alvin answered Linfel's question. "Let me show you. There is a nice website that can make the calculation of the amount of time necessary to travel between galaxies all over the Universe. It is quite fun."

Alvin quickly accessed that website and inputted the information.

-Journey Time: 86156 years-

Linfel bitterly smiled. "Ei... Eighty-six thousand years?!"

Alvin shrugged. "Yeap. And this is already extremely fast. Do you know how many times faster than light you would need to move to make it all the way to the Warfel Empire in only eighty-six thousand years? It is all thanks to the fourth-dimensional spatial magic engine that such a thing is even possible."

Alvin continued. "That's why you won't be able to join the Warfel Empire from here. Both you and I would be dead long before we made even 10% of the way. However, you can invest in Warfel since Universal Credits is the system used over the entire Universe nowadays."

Seeing Linfel's dark expression, Alvin smiled. "However, it is not impossible to make it there in a few decades."

"Oh!" Linfel's eyes lit up. "Tell me more."

"Wormholes," Alvin explained. "That's how long-distance journeys are made through the Universe."

Linfel quickly checked wormholes in his MCOM. After all, such a term didn't exist back in his time. "Oh... so they are kind of tunnels that connect two different points in the Universe, uh?"

Alvin nodded. "There are three in our galaxy that connect to the Warfel Empire area. Too bad that wormhole traversal is strictly regulated. For example, only one person on our planet has the capability to request to use them."

"Only one?" Linfel was surprised to hear that. "What is so special about him?"

Alvin smiled. "His name is Rangro, the only Level Eight Magus of our Serfen Planet."

"Is Level Eight that impressive?" Linfel asked.

Alvin sighed in response. "Linfel, there is only one in the entire planet. What do you think? It is obviously impressive! Even his Familiars, Wiral and Dunedin, haven't reached Level Eight yet. Anyway, he can use wormhole because of his status as a Level Eight Magus."

"Is there no other way?" Linfel asked again.

"Well, there are always some other methods. It's just that none of them are available in our Serfen Planet," Alvin said while shaking his head. "Rangro didn't become a Level Eight Magus in our Serfen Planet. Instead, he got to that level in the Ventis Sect, a hegemon that controls around 30% of our galaxy... or so the stories say on the websites.

In any case, this Ventis Sect has some special privileges. If you have the status of a high-elder there, you can also use the wormholes."

Linfel nodded. "Ventis Sect it is, then."

Alvin's mouth twitched. "Do you think joining them is that easy? Also, didn't you say you wanted to travel more? How come you now want to settle in the Ventis Sect?"

"I'm not stopping there, idiot," Linfel retorted. "I will just join to get this high-elder status."

Alvin felt helpless. "As the old saying goes, ignorance is bliss. There is no way maguses and familiars like us could be accepted into the Ventis Sect."

Linfel was already inside the Ventis Sect website. Sure enough, it also existed on this planet. "You never know if you don't try, right? Look, the recruitment happens once every six months, and it also includes our planet."

Alvin then pointed at the requirements. "It also says all maguses and familiars intending to take the test on our planet must be at least Level Three before the age of 17. I'm already sixteen and I barely reached Level Two. Even Milia, who was considered a top genius back in the academy, is still Level Two."

Linfel pondered a bit. "How long until you turn seventeen?"

Alvin was taken aback. "Errr... five months and nine days?"

Linfel nodded with a happy expression. "Then there is no problem. The test is four months from now. We will reach Level Three before it."
