I nodded at him to go ahead and explain the rules.

"Alright! Oh yeah, I almost forgot to introduce myself!"

He leapt off the tower and did a flip in midair before landing on his feet and striking a really unnecessary pose.

"Tadah! Nice to meet you! I am Verdam! The Monster Girl Connoisseur and the master of this Dungeon! I already know your name from my system but how about you introduce yourself?"

I looked at my companions and aside from Mother who was looking at the Off-Worlder in amusement, the Monster Girls were giving me looks of confusion.

I guess this was a side of their master that they have not seen before.

Since he already knew my name anyway, there's no point in hiding it so I decided to just humour him.

"Hello… I am Aster. So… What is happening here?"

He gave an exaggerated bow, "Greetings, Aster! And welcome to my little challenge! As you might have come to realise, you have gathered a little harem of Monster Girls!"

Err… Ok… Now I'm suspecting he had intentionally made it easy for outsiders to gain affection with the Monster Girls…

He continued, "Now here is the challenge of this Dungeon! You will not participate in the fight directly but make use of your Monster Girl harem to fight against my own team of Monster Girls!"

Really? Oh wow… I know exactly what he's trying to do now…

I groaned, "I'm not really here to challenge the Dungeon though… I just wanted to talk to you."

He tilted his head, "Talk to me? You speed run through my Dungeon before I even finished setting it up just to talk to me? You're even the first one to reach this far as well. Heck… You even managed to get Monster Girls that I thought would be really hard for the challengers to tame and brought them all the way here too."

I decided not to tell him that we made use of the Burrow Gnome's ability to skip floors.

Also… These girls were supposed to be hard?

Wait… I guess if it's a normal Dungeoneer entering this place, they would be beaten by these Monster Girls and their fight would be a matter of life and death instead of how casually I fought them. So I guess the only reason it was easy for me was because I have my Off-Worlder cheats.

He crossed his arms and tapped his foot on the ground, "Fine. What the hell do you want to ask then? I'm assuming it's not one of the answers I gave just now."

"Do you know about the undead monsters that have escaped from your Dungeon?"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

I frowned at his answer, "You don't know? You have Undead Monsters who have left your Dungeon and attacked the people outside."

He huffed at me, "That's ridiculous. Everyone knows that monsters from the Dungeon don't go out on their own."

"Well, unfortunately that's what happened with the monsters from your Dungeon… In fact, the gods are already issuing an oracle that this was to become the norm because our presence has changed how Dungeons works. And by 'our', I mean Off-Worlders. I just wanted to ask if you had intentionally done that."

"What? No?! That would completely defeat the purpose of me taking over this Dungeon in the first place! This Dungeon used to be an Undead Dungeon but I wanted to populate it with Monster Girls! So obviously I have to get rid of the Undead first! I saw that there was a setting in the Dungeon controls to purge the Monsters found here so that's what I did!"

"Did you check what the setting actually does?"

"Err… No? I thought that pressing that would just disintegrate the Monsters or something. There shouldn't be any undead in this Dungeon anymore, right?"

"You might want to check that again…"

He paused for a moment before reaching his hands up in front of him like he was preparing to type on a keyboard.

A translucent screen then popped out in front of him, though it looked completely blank to me.

He started tapping on the screen which I assume must be the Dungeon controls he was talking about and I waited for him to do whatever he was doing.

He suddenly froze and even though his mask hid his face from view, I could tell that he was most likely in shock.

"Wait… All the undead monsters… Have gathered on the upper floors? And they even made camps? These are war camps too… What's going on?"

Seems like he really didn't know huh…

"You didn't think to check the upper floors?"

"No… I thought the upper floors were fine in their design so I didn't bother to check and focused more on designing the lower floors. And I wanted the Monster Girls to occupy the floors of the Dungeon organically so I just left them to their own devices… Oh no… Don't tell me I unleashed an undead horde on the surface?! I don't want to start an undead apocalypse! That would stop people from coming to my Dungeon!!"

"Well… About that… You technically did but we have already destroyed the undead that have escaped from the Dungeon." Enjoy more content from empire

He stared at me for a moment, "Oh… Err… Then why are you here then?"

"Well… The Kingdom's soldiers were preparing to build a fort around this Dungeon to stop more monsters from spilling out from here but then… Your Ifrit showed up and started burning down stuff. And since this is the first time I've seen a Monster Girl in this World, I figured that the Dungeon master would be an Off-Worlder so we wanted to make sure that you weren't going to send even more undead monsters to the surface."

"I can assure you that I have absolutely no intention of doing that! I want more people to come into my Dungeon to challenge it! Not stay away from it by unleashing an undead horde outside the Dungeon!"

"Well… Good news is that it's going to be known that monsters would spill out from a Dungeon if the monsters aren't cleared periodically so there should be people coming here from time to time… I think…"

"Ha! That's great to hear! So will you be challenging me now? You already gathered your harem of Monster Girls anyway so let's have a battle!"

I tilted my head at him, "What about the undead monsters on your upper floors?"

He paused, as though just remembering that fact.

"Tsk… This is troublesome indeed… I don't want those stupid monsters anywhere my precious Monster Girls so I'll have to clear them out first… And I have to do it myself too since this purge setting obviously doesn't do what I thought it would do… Gods dammit…"

He seemed like he wanted to leave until he set his sights on me again.

Verdam then gestured to me, "Hold on… How about you help me with this as well?"

"Help you with clearing the undead?"

"Yes! This way, you might even get more monster girls for your harem and we can have a bigger fight once you're done!"

"Err… This sounds like a lot of trouble so I think I'll have to pass… I'm also not interested in the challenge either…"

My answer seemed to surprise him since he took a step back in shock, "Wha… What? You don't want to challenge me in a Monster Girl battle? Are you even an Off-Worlder?!"

"Eh? What does me being an Off-Worlder have to do with that?"

Well… Under other circumstances, I would also agree with him but right now the idea didn't really appeal to me much… Especially when I was supposed to be accompanying Mother to tour around the Kingdom instead of being here.

Verdam waved his hands in front of me like he was throwing a tantrum, "Come on!! You already got this far so let's just do it! I literally made this build so that I can do this! Let's just do it once! You won't lose out on anything! If you beat me, you can even get a Dungeon clear reward too! Not only that, all the winners get a prize! Come on! Please?"

He really sounds like a kid begging someone to play with him…

I turned to Mother and she giggled, "Ufufufu~ Why not? It sounds like it might be fun my little one~ Why not let us indulge in this little challenge of his for now?"

Well… Since Mother had already said this much… I guess we might as well just try it out then…

As I said, if it was under other circumstances, I would also be interested in trying this out as well so why not?

Anyway… How does this work again? Is this going to be real time or is it a turn based fight?
