Chapter 105 - Romeo And Juliet?

It is said when two aggressive bulls meet there is bound to be a standoff. That's exactly what was happening right now. Rui Fei wouldn't back down angering this uncle so much that he wanted to tear apart this place and burn it to the ground.

Decades and decades of animosity was engraved in his bones which meant he couldn't see any Qilin half or pure blood in good light. It was a well-known fact in Niuq that the offspring of the enemy can pay for their ancestors' mistakes. According to that law, it meant this boy had to pay for all his ancestors' faults.

But his long lost nephew was hindering him. The cub was basically protecting their enemy which baffled him so much. He almost pulled out his tangled hair seething in anger.

"What do you mean he is yours? Yours as in are you going to kill him or yours as in your servant? What exactly do you mean?" asked the uncle obviously stunned silly.

It had to be that, right?

Rui Fei looked away his gaze mobile. How could he explain it clearly? What was there to explain? Ji Yao was his, period. There was no need for further explanation. "Just stay away from him," he said before walking over to Ji Yao intending to carry him out.

While he was struggling with the chain the uncle who couldn't comprehend this bizarre situation interrupted him. "Why... why did they come down here?" he asked knowing full well that they didn't come to rescue him neither did they come to kill him.

They were simply after something and the only thing of value he could think of was this necklace on the pedestal. He knew it held some significance but he had no idea what sort of significance.

Rui Fei didn't look at him fighting with the messy chain as he replied, "Some kind of keystone..... the one behind you."

The uncle looked back and scratched his messy hair before turning back to look at him while wiping his face with his sleeve. "I am Huishe Yue, the firstborn of the great Huishe clan leader. I suppose I am also your ahem..... uncle," he said wishing they hadn't met under such circumstances, "and you..... your name?"

Rui Fei paused for a moment his absent gaze fixed on the wall. "Rui Fei, as in the Fei for fly," he explained as he lowered his head continuing to free his sweetheart. His emotions were as tangled as Huishe Yue's hair right now.

As soon as he freed Ji Yao the person slowly opened his eyes with a low grumble coming out of his red lips. Rui Fei's eyes instantly lit up as he placed both his hands on either side of Ji Yao's cheeks in excitement.

"Yao-ge... I am here. Does anything hurt?" he spoke with a tremble in his voice like he was excited yet worried at the same time.

Ji Yao who had no idea who or where he was removed Rui Fei's cold hands from his face as he sucked in a breath of cold air.

"Your hands are so cold," he mumbled as he struggled to recalibrate his blurry vision. He felt a stinging pain coming from his forehead and placed his palm on it but Rui Fei stopped him.

"Sorry," he whispered as he took out a clean handkerchief Ji Yao gave to him during the throwing-up incident to wipe the blood away. Ever since that day he had taken possession of it and didn't return it. Whenever he missed Ji Yao while he was hiding from him he would sniff it just like adults who still sniff baby blankets because they like the scent. Though in his case it was more like to calm his erratic nerves that were urging him to go see Ji Yao.

Disregarding his own bloodied face he gently wiped away the blood with a look of cautiousness. Ji Yao who was partially lucid grasped Rui Fei's wrist stopping him as his gaze fell on the familiar handkerchief. "That's mine," he said obviously still out of sorts.

Rui Fei found him cute like this but he would never say it out loud. He wanted to poke those slightly puffed up cheeks and coax him into letting go but he wasn't brave enough to. "Mn," he replied as he took the hand holding his wrist into his own before proceeding to wipe away the blood.

All that negative energy looming over him a minute ago had vanished leaving behind this sweet refreshing feeling that was a complete contrast to the environment they were currently in.

He was trying to take care of Ji Yao but the person wasn't cooperative. He refused his help saying, "Wipe your face instead," as he stubbornly got up. Rui Fei had no choice but to help him up.

As soon as Ji Yao stood up he started making trouble. That's because he saw the culprit holding the necklace while watching them. Thinking about how he was knocked out by this vile man he angrily pointed at him as he unsheathed his sword ready to slice and dice him.

He tried to move but the first step he took he tripped and fell right into Rui Fei's arms with his face buried into the boy's neck. As the warm breath and moist lips brushed against Rui Fei's skin his face heated up with a timid look.

He was as red as a cooked lobster which lucky for him was covered up with the blood on his face otherwise he would have sold himself out.

This is when this dear uncle figured out what his newfound nephew meant by 'he is mine'. The idea was even crazier than a Huishe being kind to a Qilin.

He couldn't believe it. Was this the Qilin's plan? Steal the heart of their precious cub so they can pressure the Huishe to let the rest of the Qilin clan off? He was seriously starting to think it was the plan all along.

They opened the portal to arrange this absurd scenario so that the Qilin don't have to pay the price for the bloodshed they caused in the past. Well, this Romeo and Juliet shit wasn't going to work on this dear uncle.

Ji Yao finally managed to balance himself but he wasn't done with this man. He wanted to beat the shit out of him not that he would win. Just as he was about to blow his top off like a muddled drunkard, Rui Fei stopped him.
