Chapter 64 - New Equipment For Everyone!
-----
Equipment.
Although it could be crafted by talented craftsmen and special high-tech tools, it could also be dropped by strong monsters inside of Dungeons.
However, compared to the equipment made by humans, the ones found in Dungeons had special properties that were often hard to imitate and were even said to have special skills and powers within.
But Equipment being dropped by an E-Rank Dungeon was often something impossible, low-ranked dungeons would never drop items, and it was more realistic to expect equipment drops from Dungeons above B-Rank.
Against such expectations, however, equipment was dropped from the death of the Giant Black Bat Boss.
Noah slowly walked towards the pile of Cores, and the pieces of equipment on top of it.
"Amazing… I've never seen such a big pile of Attribute Cores before… perhaps this Boss was some kind of Hidden Boss?" wondered Arthur.
"Hidden Boss? Wait… Did I trigger it?!" asked Iris.
"It seems that when you hit the ceiling with your head, you triggered the Hidden Boss, Iris," said Timassa.
"See? It was worth throwing you into the ceiling," said Noah.
"I-It wasn't! Well, it's fine if it's Noah-sama…" sighed Iris, as she walked at his side and glanced at the items, grabbing what seemed to be a black dagger.
Arthur glared at everything and began to calculate the quantity and the things they were with his sharp merchant-like mind, which he had inherited from his father from all the teachings he implanted on his mind from a young age.
"There are around… 60 F-Rank Cores! So many… with this everyone will be able to get 75 in every stat now! And there are also 26 E-Rank Cores, coupled with the other 40 we got… we have 66 E-Rank Cores in total, such a good bounty!" said Arthur.
"I see… What about the equipment? Can you discern it?" asked Noah.
"Yes, there are… Exactly six items! The dagger that Iris carries, this weird Eye-shaped diadem, a dark-colored gauntlet with claws like those of the bat, this other crimson gauntlet with sharp bony claws, a magic bow, and a… black staff," said Arthur.
"Is it my idea or the items were generated specifically for each one of us?" asked Noah intrigued.
"Eh? What do you mean- Oh! You're right, Noah-sama!" said Arthur.
Noah was right, each item seemed specifically made for each of the six-party members!
The Dagger Iris was holding was named Accursed Shadow Dagger, and it could bind with its user through shadow chains, so she can throw it around crazily while rushing with her super strength and speed.
The Eye-shaped diadem was called Abyss Eye of Despair, and it had the power of enhancing Eye-related Skills, ideal for Jon, he could equip it above his forehead to immediately receive the boost into his Evil Eye Skill.
The black-colored gauntlet with sharp claws was named Deadly Claws of the Bat King, and the equipment could extend its claws like long blades as long as there was Mana infused into them, this item seemed to be fitting for Adamantine.
The other gauntlet, which was red-colored, had sharp bone-like claws, which seemed to have a strong grabbing and slashing power, whenever they were swipe, they would release slashes of crimson red energy as well, which Noah seemed to find fitting for him.
The beautiful magic bow seemed to be made of a mystical metallic material of black color, covered in beautiful gold-colored decorations, this Bow was named Bat King Bones Bow, and it lacked a string, as it was a magic bow, it needed a Mage-type Hunter with a long-ranged magic Skill to use it properly, ideal for someone like Timassa.
And last but not least, there was a long black staff, with a dark crystal decorating the top of the staff, it emanated dark and eerie energy. The Staff was named Necrotic Staff of Darkness, and it was fitting for Arthur, as the item enhanced healing Skills and long-ranged wide-ranged attacks like his Waves of Corrosion.
"This… Noah-sama, can we grab one each? Really?" asked Timassa.
"I suppose so. The Dungeon is rewarding us by defeating this Hidden Boss, take your prize, it will help you become stronger, and hence, more useful for me and your family," said Noah with an expressionless face, as he grabbed the gauntlet and equipped it, glaring at its metallic luster, he smiled maliciously… this was his first weapon dropped from a Dungeon, and he couldn't help but feel like he had achieved something great.
Arthur grabbed the staff, as it immediately began to glow with a black light, his magic capacity seemed to have been enhanced a bit.
"Equipment dropped from Dungeons are really… something else," said Arthur.
Timassa grabbed the Bow and began to use her Skills with it, as a bolt of black thunder merged, larger and stronger than ever before, she fired t to the wall, as a large explosion unfolded, leaving a large and deep hole within the rock.
"Amazing…" said Timassa.
Adamantine grabbed her black gauntlet, equipping it on her right hand, as the claws grew larger and sharper the moment she infused mana into them. Her Dark Aura merged with the weapon and made its power and intensity even greater.
Jon grabbed the eye-shaped diadem and equipped it, as he suddenly felt his Evil Eye Skill intensifying in power as if he was wielding an overwhelming power over his pupils!
"So much… power…" said Jon.
Iris suddenly saw the dagger she grabbed extended shadow chains around her arm, chaining itself to her very soul, she then threw it around, as she discovered she could move the dagger in midair by manipulating the shadow chains.
"Oh! Amazing…" said Iris.
"How can such strong weapons even drop in an E-Rank Dungeon… Now I am beginning to think that the Boss wasn't really… E-Rank…" said Arthur.
"Maybe it was… D-Rank?!" asked Timassa.
"Was that why it was so freaking strong then?" asked Iris.
"Indeed, it was very strong, even after we showered it in several attacks, and even after being buried by enormous, building-sized boulders, it stood back up… If it was not because it ended up damaging itself by burying itself in boulders, we might have not been able to defeat it completely…" said Noah.
"That was… a closer fight than we thought then…" said Arthur.
As Noah heard his subordinates speak, he suddenly felt a strange sensation within the gauntlet he was wearing.
A strange presence emerged from it, entering his flesh, and touching his soul.
"What?"
Noah glared at the weapon, as he noticed that something within it, something similar to a small soul, was connecting itself to his soul.
"This… Is this a Soul Weapon?" thought Noah, like Arthur and the rest quickly noticed the same thing as them!
"UWAH! The staff is touching my interiors!" said Arthur.
"What is this? It feels very disgusting!" said Timassa.
"S-Should we take them off?" asked Iris, she sensed as the shadow chains slowly merged with her soul!
"It is a Soul Weapon…" said Noah with gleaming eyes.
"A Soul… Weapon!? Really? No way… To think that we would find one in such a place…" said Arthur.
"Soul Weapons? What are they?" asked Iris.
"Let them merge with your souls, they are good weapons, and can even evolve and become stronger as you do… These are Soul Weapons," said Noah.
