Chapter 125

Chapter 125 - Save Me

Tang Pianpian crossed her legs and whispered, “I want to practice cultivation.”

However, she quickly abandoned the idea.

Her mind was too restless, making her unfit for cultivation at that time.

If she forced herself to cultivate, she risked losing control.

When Tang Pianpian opened her eyes, she found that Ye Hao had already fallen asleep.

After a moment of hesitation, Tang Pianpian curled up next to Ye Hao like a kitten and carefully draped his arm over herself.

Contentedly, Tang Pianpian drifted off to sleep.

At six in the morning, Ye Hao woke up punctually. Realizing he was embracing Tang Pianpian, his eyes widened in astonishment.

Gently, he lifted his hand and tenderly covered Tang Pianpian with the thin quilt.

Ye Hao had only recently come home and had no immediate plans to leave again.

While Ye Hao was brushing his teeth, Tang Pianpian approached him.

“Why aren't you still asleep?”

“I'm not one for sleeping in,” Tang Pianpian replied with a playful blink.

“Later, we should visit your aunt,” Ye Zhiguo suggested quietly.

“We could bring my aunt to live with us,” Ye Hao proposed.

“Our place isn't very large, though.”

“We could buy a villa,” Ye Hao said with a grin. “I've just come into five million yuan.”

Ye Zhiguo and Guo Xiu exchanged glances.

“Forestvale Manor in our city is quite nice, but I've heard it's 12,000 yuan per square meter,” Ye Zhiguo mused.

Without hesitation, Ye Hao pulled out his phone and completed a bank transfer.

Seconds later, Ye Zhiguo's phone chimed with the notification of the transfer.

“Will ten million yuan be enough?”

“Do you have any money left?”

“I still have over five million yuan,” Ye Hao said, smiling.

“You're wealthier than I am,” Ye Zhiguo conceded without further questions.

After the meal, Ye Hao's family took Tang Pianpian's car to visit Ye Mingyan.

Ye Mingyan was overjoyed by their arrival.

Following a brief catch-up, Ye Zhiguo broached the main subject.

“Aunt, why don't you come and live with us?”

“What?”

“I'm planning to buy a villa in Forestvale Manor.”

“A villa?” Ye Mingyan's eyes widened in disbelief. “Where did you get the money for that?”

“Hao just gave me ten million yuan.”

Something clicked in Ye Mingyan's mind, and she remarked, “Hao recently won a five million yuan prize.”

Ye Hao had become a household name throughout Weyphia.

Even Ye Mingyan, who rarely followed online news or TV, was aware that Ye Hao had clinched first place in the College Proverb Championship.

“That's just one of Hao's prizes,” Ye Zhiguo interjected. “Hao's assets have long surpassed tens of millions of yuan.”

“Hao, you've really made something of yourself,” Ye Mingyan said, beaming with pride. “But I'm settled here and wouldn't want to impose on you.”

Guo Xiu playfully countered, “Once the villa is ready, we'll come get you. And if you refuse to live with us, I'll just have to kidnap you!”

Ye Mingyan couldn't help but chuckle at that.

“Hao, when do you plan to marry Pianpian?”

The question was pointed.

“Let's discuss that another time,” Ye Hao replied with a smile.

“Pianpian is absolutely stunning. If I were you, I'd get engaged to her right now. Plus, when you have kids, I'd be more than happy to help look after them,” Ye Mingyan suggested.

Tang Pianpian blushed deeply, her head nearly bowing from shyness.

“Great aunt, if you keep this up, Pianpian will be too embarrassed to even look at you,” Ye Hao said, chuckling.

“I'll stop teasing. Young ladies can be so bashful,” Ye Mingyan said, still smiling.

After a bit more conversation, Tang Pianpian took Ye Mingyan to see the houses at Forestvale Manor.

The villas in Weyphia were newly constructed, leaving many of them unoccupied.

The Ye family quickly made a full payment on a 400-square-meter villa.

“I'll get in touch with the contractors to start the renovations tomorrow.”

“Make sure to use eco-friendly materials for the renovation,” Tang Pianpian advised gently. “A lot of the local paints contain formaldehyde.”

“I plan to use diatom ooze for the decoration.”

“Diatom ooze is popular throughout Weyphia?” Ye Hao asked, surprised.

“The brand I represent is Ranshaw,” Ye Zhiguo said with a smile. “Currently, even the top-tier paints on the market contain some formaldehyde, which has a release period of twenty years. That poses a significant health risk.”

“I think the villa I live in Shanghai uses Ranshaw's diatom ooze.”

“Diatom ooze? What's that?” inquired Ye Mingyan.

“Auntie, diatom ooze is an emerging eco-friendly material. You can move in right after the renovation is complete.”

After spending three days at home, Ye Hao headed back to school.

“Aren't you going to class?”

Tang Pianpian dropped Ye Hao off at the school entrance.

“I'd rather go home and sleep,” whispered Tang Pianpian.

“Take care on your way,” Ye Hao responded quickly.

“I'm heading back to Blossomfall Chateau.”

”Why did you buy that house?”

“I didn't just buy that house; I also purchased the three units across from it and above,” Tang Pianpian explained with a grin.

“For investment?”

“I've noticed the concept of school district housing is gaining traction, and Glento's top middle school is right next to Blossomfall Chateau. Therefore, the property values are bound to soar.”

“I'm not familiar with this,” Ye Hao admitted, shaking his head slightly, as he had no background in economics.

“I'm in the process of securing a bank loan to buy a few more properties in the next couple of days.”

“If you ever need money, just let me know.”

Tang Pianpian spoke softly, “But I'm actually enjoying this. It wouldn't be as rewarding if you made everything easy for me.”

“You handle it your way. Just know that it's okay even if things don't work out,” Ye Hao reassured her.

“I understand.”

“Well, I'm off to class.”

With that, Ye Hao opened the car door and walked toward the classroom.

As Ye Hao strolled down a shaded path, he was jolted by a girl's desperate cries for help. He immediately sprinted towards the sound.

In a matter of moments, Ye Hao saw a man forcefully pulling at a girl's clothing as she struggled and screamed. Ye Hao briskly approached and delivered a swift kick that sent the man flying aside.

“Are you alright?” Ye Hao asked, crouching down and speaking gently to the girl.

“Are you okay?” Ye Hao crouched in front of the young girl, speaking softly.

The girl's eyes brimmed with panic, tears streaking her face. She approached Ye Hao and embraced him. “Save me,” she pleaded.
