Chapter 58: Mecha Arrives
Chapter 58: Mecha Arrives
“All of you, get out of here!”
After Su Mu left, Yun Chuyao drove all of them out of her store.
Wang Hao stood outside of the Vision Equipment Store innocently. He hadn’t bought any gear yet. All his adulation turned out to be for nothing.
Zhuo Yu hesitated as he stared at Wang Hao. In the end, he made up his mind and sent a message back to the military area.
Xia Weiwei circled Wang Hao and mumbled, “Why does such a scoundrel have such a powerful background?”
Wang Hao’s face darkened. Was it a compliment or mockery?
“Right, where is Mengmeng? Aren’t you best friends?” asked Wang Hao curiously.
“Mengmeng was appreciated by the old man just now. She left for the headquarters of the Guild of Pharmacists.” Xia Weiwei said angrily, “She didn’t even wait to say goodbye to me.”
“She went to the Guild of Pharmacists!” Wang Hao nodded. It was not strange that the Guild of Pharmacists admitted Mai Mengmeng for her talent.
However, it was indeed a pity that he had one fewer target to dally with.
BOOM...
At this moment, an enormous shadow fell from the sky and landed not far away from Wang Hao. It was a mecha wolf that was slightly bigger than Zhuo Chao’s.
The weapons accommodated were also more powerful. They all had level-three damage.
Six machine guns had been installed on the shoulders of the mecha wolf. Once they opened fire, even a Grandmaster would be riddled with holes.
“This is awesome!” Xia Weiwei was interested. Both the shape of the giant wolf and the weapons fit her tastes.
Zhuo Yu came to Wang Hao and said with a smile, “Wang Hao, the mecha wolf that my son promised you won’t be repaired for months. In case you need it in the screening test, I’ve prepared this level-three mecha wolf for you.”
“Zhuo Chao is your son?” asked Wang Hao tentatively.
Zhuo Yu nodded.
Enthused, Wang Hao pointed at himself and asked, “Is this really for me?”
Zhuo Yu nodded again and gave the key to Wang Hao. After witnessing the Guild of Pharmacists’ attempt to recruit Wang Hao and Su Mu’s expectations for Wang Hao, Zhuo Yu had understood that there was little the Royal Academy could do even though Wang Hao pissed off them.
He would be an idiot if he didn’t try to make friends with such a future star.
Therefore, he had offered Wang Hao a beast-shaped mecha with level-three damage. Whenever Wang Hao used the mecha, he would remember Zhuo Yu.
After saying thanks, Wang Hao crawled into the mecha wolf eagerly and tried to drive it.
The moment he entered the cockpit, his head was covered by a helmet. He could see nothing but darkness, but his vision was soon recovered. The image that the mecha saw was delivered to his brain precisely. He could see what was going on outside even if he closed his eyes.
Is this the Brain Perception Technology? Amazed, Wang Hao tried to move the mecha wolf.
BAM...
Wang Hao didn’t know how difficult it was to control the mecha until the mecha wolf finally made the first step.
“Wang Hao, if it’s beyond your control now, you can activate AI control!” Zhuo Yu shouted outside.
“AI control,” said Wang Hao softly.
“AI control, activated.” After a mechanical sound, the mecha wolf began to move forward and act according to what Wang Hao was thinking.
After playing for a while, Wang Hao got out of the mecha, not entirely satisfied.
“Wang Hao, AI control can save you a lot of strength, but it can also be risky,” Zhuo Yu reminded him.
Wang Hao nodded. AI did not recognize people. If it was hacked, the mecha would attack him instantly. The only way to avoid that was to control the mecha with the human brain instead of AI.
“Also, if you want to use the mecha in the screening test, AI control will be frozen. AI controlled mecha is forbidden in games,” Zhuo Yu reminded him.
Wang Hao nodded again. AI controlled mecha could crush as many opponents as possible, so the games would be pointless.
Mecha was only permitted in the screening test to figure out the spiritual power of the students and how well they could control the mecha.
For a qualified mecha user, control with spiritual power was the only correct path.
“You are a natural-born Perceiver with immense spiritual power. Practice it more and you will grasp it.” Zhuo Yu patted Wang Hao’s shoulder and soared away in a human-shaped mecha.
Xia Weiwei jabbed Wang Hao and said shyly, “Villain, no, Brother Wang Hao, can I try your mecha?”
Wang Hao squinted at Xia Weiwei. He was a villain when he was not needed and Brother Wang Hao when he was needed. What an interesting woman!
〈〈Ding-dong. System upgraded.〉〉
Wang Hao’s eyes glittered. The upgrade had finally completed.
“You can take your time. Remember to send it to my house.” Wang Hao tossed the key to Xia Weiwei and went to Dragon. He needed to check the new functions after the upgrade of the System.
“Thank you, villain, no, Brother Wang Hao!”
Xia Weiwei accepted the key and smiled. At this moment, she felt that Wang Hao was not too bad after all.
...
After he came home, Wang Hao eagerly asked the System about the new functions.
〈〈After the upgrade, Illusionary Battlefield is now available. The host can compete with experts of all levels to increase your battle experience without worrying about being killed in Illusionary Battlefield.〉〉
“Increase my battle experience?” Wang Hao nodded. He indeed needed battle experience. It would be awkward if he didn’t know how to put his horrifying cultivation to use.
“There are no other functions?” asked Wang Hao.
〈〈Not for now. By the time the host becomes a Grandmaster, the System will upgrade again with new functions.〉〉
Wang Hao nodded and asked again, “I have 13,100,000 points left. What do you recommend?”
〈〈The host can use four kinds of attribute stones!〉〉
Wang Hao’s eyes glittered. His combat ability had soared when he used four level-one attribute stones last time. If he used level-two attribute stones, would he dominate the level of Martial Master?
