Chapter 85: Abyssal Kingdom, Serum Complete



"It seems that we are trapped," Yueha said, her eyes narrowed and somber.

A heavy air loomed over everyone as the group found themselves trapped inside a huge fenced garden with seven dark whirlpools on the ground that oozed out a palpitating aura.

The Underwater Abyssal Kingdom was a city-turned-dungeon area, deep below the ocean of this secret realm.

At first, the group entered the ruined city after crossing the barrier and killed monsters there. They found some resources as well, but none that were important to them.

Since the number of monsters was high, the group took ten minutes to route everything up in the ruined city. After recovering their energies, they moved into the huge castle at the end.

The castle was truly huge, with merely its walls spanning 3 kilometers wide. It was 1 kilometer tall in height as well, its grandness visible at a single glance.

Upon entering the castle, they first arrived at a common hall where ten Dark Knights of Exceed-rank stood like statues, surrounding a real giant statue that was headless and cracked. The Dark Knights attacked the group, but everyone fought well and swiftly defeated them.

From the already broken and headless statue, the group found a box sealed by talismans and sealing magic.

Everyone tried to break the seal, but no one succeeded. As such, Yueha put it in her storage ring and the group recovered with meditation before continuing.

During the next three hours, the group explores many areas, rooms, and halls of the castle, defeating monsters and gathering useful resources. They found an abundance of high-tiered plants, fruits, flowers, and such resources.

However, none of them knew alchemy so they couldn't utilize their usefulness right away in creating pills and potions with useful buffs.

After five hours, they explored most of the castle and finally went past the initial area of the castle, exiting from the back part and arriving at a huge fenced garden.

It was at this place they knew they...would finally get into real trouble.

"Outside the fence is complete darkness. Only this garden is lit up because of those ghastly blue flower arrays," Darzax said as he looked around. "I can't see past the fences."

"Nor can my soul sense go past it," Yueha frowned. "It's clear we can't leave this garden anymore, not forcefully."

Everyone furrowed their brows and redirected their gazes at the seven whirlpools sized 1- meter radius at different places on the grass floor of the garden.

"The way back to the castle is still open," Riki said as he looked back.

"Right. We can go back and return later or we can just stay and deal with this," Fang nodded as he unfurled his hand fan. "I am fine with either."

"Let's deal with this shit," Hua grinned ferociously, the faint draconic scales on his chest shining.

"Fight," Enorin's golden sword pointed at a whirlpool, her eyes indifferent and cold but filled with fighting spirit deep within.

The aura from the whirlpools increased in intensity as everyone swiftly became alert. Soon, each whirlpool spewed out a shadow that settled beside them, revealing humanoid creatures with black skin with strange dark blue patterns.

Each had sharp claws in place of their hands, their figure slim and having spiked wings at their back, and a single horn on their forehead. Their wide red eyes immediately shone as they focused on Yueha and others.

Fang slammed his palm on the ground and swiftly activated a ready-made protective formation around the group. "All of them are as powerful as Spirit Lords, A.K.A Primeval- rank lifeforms. Let's select our roles. We have a few seconds only."

As such, everyone began relaying their thoughts with Yueha's soul network that connected all of them.

Hua grinned. 'I'll take on one.'

'I shall move to a supportive role,' Darzax said with narrowed eyes, 'I'll weaken them with my debuff spells.'

'I'll take on one,' Enorin said with her wings and sword faintly shining, using skill and activating her Bloodline.

Yueha nodded, 'Hue will focus on dealing killing blows while I will also support by slowing down all of them using my Profound Ice techniques.'

'Let's kill all of them without any casualty. I'll be a reactive guard to Fang and Dax,' Riki said as he unsheathed his both katanas. 'Even if I am weaker, I can make it up with my sword skills to at least weaken and redirect their attacks on our support.'

'Let's do it,' Mei nodded as she vanished while the barrier formation also broke after withstanding attacks for three seconds.

Aleron shouted as he looked at the Xorg before him with a mushroom head and creamy skin with black spots.

"She really transformed well and alive!" Aleron grinned.
