This prodigy’s manner of speaking… On the surface, it seemed perfectly normal.

As she spoke, Qiao Manman even leaned in to playfully tap Gu Yang’s head a few times, as if examining it closely.
Gu Yang:
Gu Jin’s expression darkened. “If you have something to say, say it. Don’t go touching people.”
Feeling embarrassed, Qiao Manman withdrew her hand.
She had contemplated reaching out to Gu Jin as well, but after witnessing her formidable skills, she dared not attempt it.
So, she settled for picking on Gu Yang, the more approachable one.
After finishing their shopping, Gu Yang and Gu Jin returned to the dormitory, only to find it bustling with activity. Qiao Manman was engaged in lively conversation with a group of girls.
As soon as the siblings entered, the girls swarmed around them.
“It’s really Yangyang!”
“I heard the top scorer lives in Dorm 606. I even formed a squad to come admire the big shot.”
Qiao Manman introduced the girls to Gu Yang and Gu Jin. “They’re from the neighboring dorms. All freshmen in our Physics Department.”

Gu Yang’s class had 35 students, with only six of them being girls. Among them, four were from the Physics Department.
Qiao Manman pulled a girl forward and said to Gu Yang and Gu Jin, “She’s also from our Physics Class One. Her name is Su Ziyun.”
Su Ziyun greeted Gu Yang and Gu Jin with a smile. “Gu Yang, Gu Jin, hello. I’ve heard about you both for a while now. It’s a surprise to see you in the Physics Department.”
Gu Yang reciprocated the greeting politely.
Gu Jin, not one for socializing, simply nodded curtly and guided Gu Yang through the crowd.
She preferred not to be surrounded.
Observing Gu Jin’s demeanor, Su Ziyun furrowed her brow and remarked teasingly, “Gu Jin is quite reserved. Doesn’t seem too keen on engaging in conversation.”
Qiao Manman burst into laughter. “Gu Jin may come off as a bit distant, but she’s a kind person, especially when it comes to her sister. You guys don’t know, there was this incident with Tong Jiayin before…”
Qiao Manman proceeded to share the story to ensure that everyone didn’t harbor any ill feelings towards Gu Jin as the school year commenced.
Su Ziyun’s expression shifted as she glanced at the array of high-end cosmetics and skincare products on the table. “You share a dorm with the eldest daughter of the Tong Family? And you had a conflict with her?”
Qiao Manman retorted, “What’s with the ‘Miss’? We’re all university students here.”
In this academic environment, everyone was a high achiever. Most admired those who excelled academically and didn’t feel inferior to the daughters of wealthy families.
“Exactly. She earned her place here through her own abilities. Why should we bow down to her?”
“I must say, Gu Jin handled it well. She had the courage to claim Yangyang’s bed. Who does Tong Jiayin think she is?”
However, there were some who remained silent, mindful of Tong Jiayin’s background.
Su Ziyun gently pulled Qiao Manman aside and advised, “We’re all classmates here. Let’s move past this. Tong Jiayin probably acted on impulse. It’s not right for us to gossip behind her back, is it?”
