Chapter D013 – Dreamhouse Continuation
Chapter D013 – Dreamhouse Continuation
[Dreamhouse Real Estate VR-Space]
The deal was successfully established, but of course it was not the final version.
Ruri hadn't finished the design yet, so after saying goodbye to everyone, she went back to designing her future house. Naturally, with such a large land space, it would be wasteful to just use it as a lawn. So of course she had to add something useful.
She already had a plan in mind.
Firstly, Ruri added another building of the same height, parallel to the previous building and connected it with a corridor in the center on each floor. Now the shape of the building was shaped like the letter H in the word Hecate.
This new building was not intended to be used as a residence, but was created as another greenhouse.
But of course this greenhouse was not the same with the greenhouse in the previous building. If the greenhouse in the previous building was created purely as a resort greenhouse, then the second greenhouse in the new building was created purely as an agricultural greenhouse.
There are several reasons why Ruri decided to build another greenhouse.
-
- The possibility of cultivating Life Aura.
With so many plants there, maybe there will be a breakthrough whether she could cultivate Life Aura or not. But even if she couldn't, being able to see the view of greenery every day was definitely not a bad thing.
- Make some plant friends for Kuu so that Kuu won't be lonely.
Well, she didn't know whether Kuu would consider other plants as friends.
- Create a valid and reasonable money sources.
She can't always rely on creating golds and items out of thin air, that would be too conspicuous. Instead of that, having a fully automated agricultural greenhouse can guarantee some reasonable income in a lazy way.
- The possibility of cultivating Life Aura.
This new greenhouse was designed to use soil-free agricultural technology, such as hydroponics and aeroponics capable to grow fruits, vegetables and other food supplies in a systematic manner. In addition, including the same solar panels and other power systems in the previous building, she also added several water turbines for additional electrical power.
When the time comes for this greenhouse to operate, Ruri can relax without doing anything while watching the automatic planting and harvesting process. Then the harvest will simply be sold to Mercury Corp and the rest will be handed over to them for distribution to various industries.
Then, after finishing the new greenhouse design, Ruri began modifying the basement design.
The original basement area was expanded to cover the other building, and below it was added another basement floor which covered almost all the available land. This B2F was designated as a shelter with the capability of withstanding a direct nuclear bomb. It was also the place where the electricity power was stored.
And for the rest, she just needs to decorate the lawn.
"I think this is enough for now, the total cost is... about 2 billion just right."
The combined cost of all this, unexpectedly, did not add up much because the land cost was already covered previously.
Two billion yen was just like, including the previous 50 kg gold bars, she only needed to add another 5.6 kg or so. Ruri was a little unsure whether she should add more to round it up to 60 kg or not.
In the end she decided to spend the remaining 4.4 kg gold to improve the security system.
"If there's anything else I need later, I just have to make another deal."
With that said, she saved the finished design and logged out.
[Kyoto: Ruri's Residence]
That night in the living room, Ruri sat on the sofa and glanced at the 6 boxes full of gold bars nearby.
These gold bars was freshly taken out of her inventory, after she melted a few gold coins in her workshop in the game. Each of these gold coins weighs 4.25 grams, which was the standard for gold dinars in real life.
This means that 60 kg of gold bars only requires <img /img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDQev-PBiOZDQ0RTHWY9nBfIz74bepUowMaovHqGZy1JoRmFV2ZrwWi-ydA-id9r99eEeB_8oRdNMmM8hYACgm8jzbWrc6zfs8NABN7qM_5aee4w9D5gi4Wfeus59iBOE3IkfYy4FTGsDYwMOiBlaaRU-YGdFeMFn26qdkywKGhfZwRVEPDY8j9e7L/s120/coin_1fa99.png" alt="" width="16" height="16" /> 14,118, which was unexpectedly cheap.
Compared to nearly <img /img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDQev-PBiOZDQ0RTHWY9nBfIz74bepUowMaovHqGZy1JoRmFV2ZrwWi-ydA-id9r99eEeB_8oRdNMmM8hYACgm8jzbWrc6zfs8NABN7qM_5aee4w9D5gi4Wfeus59iBOE3IkfYy4FTGsDYwMOiBlaaRU-YGdFeMFn26qdkywKGhfZwRVEPDY8j9e7L/s120/coin_1fa99.png" alt="" width="16" height="16" /> ~15 billion in her saving, 14k was just a drop in the ocean. Even so, she had to be careful not to use them too much in the real world, so as not to cause the gold price to crash.
"This won't be a problem anymore after the greenhouse is built. " (Ruri)
"Kweee...?" (Kuu)
Kuu only tilted its head in response to Ruri's words.
"Soon we will move to a bigger house, much bigger than here, exciting right, Kuu?" (Ruri)
"Kweeeh~" (Kuu)
It seems like Kuu doesn't understand the concept of a bigger house yet. Or more precisely, Kuu still didn't understand the language Ruri was speaking and only answered with a meowing sound without any meaning.
This was understandable because Kuu was only a few days old, less than a week.
Ruri ordered the robot to move the boxes to the garage and called the Mercury courier to send them to the address Astrid had specified. Then she sent an email to Astrid, along with the completed house design.
From: Yasaka Ruri |
To: Amamiya Asuka |
Subject: House Final Design |
This is the final design of the house I want to build. The total price is 2.158 billion, so I have prepared 60 kg golds as the payment. Please wait for the courier to send it to you.

With that done, Ruri relaxed as if all the burden had disappeared.
Now all that remains was to wait for the time to come. With the current technology, the house should have been built after the exam period is over and she could immediately leave for Tokyo.
"Phew... I think I'll do some 'exercise' before I sleep."
She sat on the sofa and opened an adult site showing various indecent content with her T-Bracelet, before starting to touch her own nipples and private parts.
Soon later, the moaning sound of a nude loli could be heard in the living room.
[Other POV]
[Ascension: Gemmerio Empire]
Inside a certain building in Fladius City.
Nefertius, the guild leader of the Nebula Guild, sat in the building that was urgently purchased to be used as the new Guild Base. He looked at the guild overview information panel in front of him with a solemn expression.
That day, after the 30-minute login lock expired, he immediately logged in and found that he was in a different location.
It turned out that after he forcefully logged out, his avatar lost his footing and the Orc Lord's ax swing threw him several kilometers away from the battlefield like a homerun. He ended up on a mountain far from Drusel Fort with ~40% health remaining.
This was just a stroke of luck for him as he didn't have to lose his '+10 all stats' in vain.
But still, there was still a lot of bad news he had to face after that.
Drusel Fortress City had completely collapsed, and all the contents of the Guild Treasury worth a total of <img /img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDQev-PBiOZDQ0RTHWY9nBfIz74bepUowMaovHqGZy1JoRmFV2ZrwWi-ydA-id9r99eEeB_8oRdNMmM8hYACgm8jzbWrc6zfs8NABN7qM_5aee4w9D5gi4Wfeus59iBOE3IkfYy4FTGsDYwMOiBlaaRU-YGdFeMFn26qdkywKGhfZwRVEPDY8j9e7L/s120/coin_1fa99.png" alt="" width="16" height="16" /> 8 billion within the Guild Building could no longer be taken out through the Guild Interface.
Because the city was no longer accessible, several contracts with the entertainment and virtual property industries were violated and the Nebula Guild had to pay penalty fees totaling a very high amount, reaching a whooping 10 billion.
Not only that, his trust and reputation from Players and Natives, especially the nobles and royal family of the Gemmerio Empire plummeted.
- Nobles who lost their sons and daughters cursed him...
- Native survivors who lost their families and friends cursed him...
- Players who lost their Native acquaintances also cursed him.
Many of those Players were actually members of the Nebula Guild and some of them left the guild, but even other unrelated members also followed the masses to also leave the guild.
At this moment, the Nebula Guild was in danger of going bankrupt and disbanding!
Nefertius couldn't help but cursed in anger.
"To abandon the guild during the crisis, what a group of disloyal dogs No, even dogs know loyalty better than them."
However, even though he was angry, deep inside his heart he really understood that most people associated the word loyalty with benefit, and very few people had true loyalty.
Birds choose the trees where they will flock.
The tree called Nebula Guild was previously the tallest and the most beautiful tree, so birds gathered there. And because the tree fell, it was natural for the birds to fly away.
From this incident, approximately 80% of members have left, with 1492 of the 7460 members still staying.
Nefertius was very thankful to them for staying in the guild. At least, these remaining members are the ones who have proven their true loyalty to the guild.
"I'd better just forget about those traitors. At least now my Nebula Guild is clean!"
Fortunately, everything can still be fixed.
He still had the Territory Permit issued by the royal family so he could reclaim other territories and build the same Drusel Fort City. With this, these broken contracts can still be salvaged with some adjustments.
And then, he could revive all the important Natives who perished by spending a lot of Faith points, which easily obtainable by donating to the church. Thus, he could regain the nobles' trust in him like before.
Of course, doing all that required a lot of money which he didn't have much of at the moment. He could have asked his family for more funds, but he was reluctant to do so. Doing this essentially meant admitting that he was incompetent and that his standing in the family might be lowered.
If only he could retake Drusel Fort and get back the <img /img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDQev-PBiOZDQ0RTHWY9nBfIz74bepUowMaovHqGZy1JoRmFV2ZrwWi-ydA-id9r99eEeB_8oRdNMmM8hYACgm8jzbWrc6zfs8NABN7qM_5aee4w9D5gi4Wfeus59iBOE3IkfYy4FTGsDYwMOiBlaaRU-YGdFeMFn26qdkywKGhfZwRVEPDY8j9e7L/s120/coin_1fa99.png" alt="" width="16" height="16" /> 8 billion inside the Guild Treasury there, the money problem would be resolved immediately, and he could also save the effort of reclaiming another territory.
The question was, could he retake Drusel Fort by creating a raid party with those remaining members?
"It doesn't seem possible... They are too weak, they might not even be able to deal damage to the boss!"
These remaining members are basically mixed of low and mid leveled Players (T1 & T2), with only a few high leveled members (T3). Including him, there were only 15 Players who had reached level 100 in the current Nebula Guild.
Considering the strength of the Orc Lord at that time, it seemed impossible to kill him with the current guild strength.
Nefertius couldn't help but held his head in frustration.
