The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 217 - 217 Home <5>

217 Home <5>

Watching the little girl ran to the bathroom, Kyle laughed. He took the plates to the nearby sink and cleaned up the table. This was a temporary table that Kate took out from her space, but it was quite suitable to be put inside the room. After thinking for a bit, Kyle pushed the table to the side so that it would not hinder their walk.

Splash! Splash!

Not long afterwards, Kate was finished and returned to her cat form as she walked out. She saw Kyle took out a towel and helplessly let him wipe her dry before she jumped to the table.

“I’ll take a bath. You stay here.”

“Meow.” <Ok, ok, I’m not going anywhere anyway>

Kate laid down on her bed lazily. She didn’t really like doing many activities and being so comfortable like this made her really want to sleep.

Okay, she admitted that she’s a lazy person.

No, lazy cat.

Kate yawned and curled up her body.

.....

Kyle smiled and walked to his wardrobe, taking out his clothes and then headed to the bathroom.

Splash!

As he began to wash up, Kyle could faintly remember the scene when he walked inside and saw Kate called out to him. She was still in her cat’s form, but he could no longer remember the last time he heard the phrase ‘welcome home’ being said to him.

Ever since his mother passed away, he could never treat his house as his home anymore. It just no longer felt the same without his mother’s presence. And even if his father was there, Kyle still felt that it was different.

How it was different was not something he knew, but he just felt that way.

Working overtime, staying out until late at night, when he got back all that greeted him was the dark house. There was only the automatic machine that he had installed in his house to make sure that he could do everything easily.

It was nothing more than machine. Even if he could program it to say ‘welcome home’ to him, Kyle didn’t do it. He felt that it was just a meaningless thing as the house didn’t even feel like home.

There was no one who would greet him, prepare him dinner, or welcome him home. It was not a home but just a house for him to rest when he was tired. There was no difference between his house nor the other hotels where he could pay to stay for the night.

But seeing Kate welcome him like that, he felt as if this had truly become his home.

A place where he could return at any time.

Just like how it used to be in the past but the person who would accompany him was not his mother but a little cat. Not a normal cat, but a person whom he wished to spend the rest of his life with her.

Kyle took a deep breath and continued washing. He knew that Kate was not looking at him that way and still stuck with their previous relationship between teacher and student or even master and pet.

He had to take it slow.

If he were to take the wrong action, she would only be pushed away from him. And Kyle didn’t want that to happen, so he had to take his time with her.

Slowly but surely pulling her into his life.

And slowly but surely entering her life.

He wanted her to stay by his side with her own volition, so he had to slowly change this relationship they had with each other. But before that, the biggest problem he had right now was to have Kate return to her adult’s form.

If she continued to stay in that cat or child’s form, how was he supposed to begin influencing her thoughts?

That would look strange.

Splash!

“Meow?” <you’re done?> Kate raised her head when Kyle walked into the room. She might be lazing around, but she was not sleeping yet. After all, she was still waiting for Kyle to finish.

She blinked her eyes. <you’re still wet. Did you not dry your hair inside the bathroom?>

“Oh, help me dry my hair, Kate?” Kyle asked with a laugh. He was still holding the towel that he used to dry his hair and busy rubbing his own hair.

“Meow.” <No. >

Kate rolled her eyes and showed her back to Kyle. As if she would want to help Kyle dry his hair with her current form. Not to mention his head is so big as compared to her, but when she was a cat, how was she supposed to help him dry his hair?

Her paw was not designed to do such complex activity.

She could easily turn into a little kid and helped Kyle, but Kate didn’t want to. She felt so lazy right now.

Anyway, such an action felt a bit too intimate for her.

She would be embarrassed if she had to do it.

“In that case, sleep first. You’ve been out there helping out with the others, so you should be quite tired.” Kyle pulled the chair and saw down there. He patted Kate tenderly.

“Meow.” <How do you know my activity?>

“It’s not hard to guess.” Kyle let out a low laugh and the cat could only sigh and jumped to the nearby bed. She curled up her body and closed her eyes.

This time, she’s planning to sleep right away.

Kyle didn’t sleep right away and arranged the others’ task for tomorrow through his phone. In addition, he also asked for the update about that failed negotiation from his father.

Despite the world changing, Kyle still had some works that he could do through his phone communicating with others online.

It was only two hours later that Kyle finished everything.

He charged his phone and cleaned up his table.

He went to the bed and looked at the little cat beside him, the look in his eyes were extremely gentle.

<Good night, Kate.>
