The System for Mentoring Villain Bosses

Chapter 32 – Mr. Officer (2)

Chapter 32 – Mr. Officer (2)

She simply said, “My mom received over $5,000 in counterfeit money today...”

Even Officer Liu couldn’t help but gasped, that much? A rookie cop’s monthly salary was only $1,000 a month!

“... and most of them were newly printed.”

Office Liu smiled, “Even so....”

“Perhaps, they have connections to get the notes directly from the printer. I’ve heard that the cops are in the process of investigating the source of the counterfeit notes. Perhaps, Office Liu can use this opportunity to find out the source of this....”

Officer Liu held the cigarette in his hand instead of smoking it. He merely looked at Su Tian dumbfounded. He was surprised enough that she was able to trap an experienced scam artist, but at least that could just be her recklessness. This speech that she just gave, on the other hand, was well thought out.

How did an ordinary citizen know about a current investigation?

Not even everyone at the station knew about the details of these investigations.

Naturally, Su Tian knew about them. Su Yuhe was a powerful man with powerful friends. She had overheard about this investigation inadvertently.

Hopefully, this incident wouldn’t be blown out of proportion; she didn’t want to have to interact with anyone from the Su’s.

Officer Liu paused for a second, put out his cigarette, and was now looking at Su Tian with newfound respect.

“Okay, what is your suggestion?” He asked.

Su Tian smiled, “We let him go and let him lead us to the source, but not right away. Lock him up for a few days and let his partners brood over it a little first.”

If they let the man loose right away, then all the threatening words that she had said earlier would just be empty words.

Office Liu gasped to himself. He wondered how she was raised, to be so sharp at such a young age. Just what would she be like after she grew up?

All he could think of was: sky’s the limit.

Subconsciously, he had lowered his stance in front of her and said, “Alright, you got it. I know what to do.”

Su Tian smiled, “Thank you, Mr. Officer.”

“No need to thank me. This is my duty.” Office Liu was very good at saying the right things.

He then sighed, “Aye, I must be old already and don’t come up with ideas as fast as you younglings. Speaking of, next time you run into these situations, don’t bring a bunch of girls with you. It’s too dangerous. Just give Uncle Liu a call, okay?”

He didn’t skip a beat in using the opportunity to form a closer relationship with her. He wrote his number down on a piece of paper, tore it out of his notebook, and handed it over to her, “Keep this. This is your Uncle Liu’s phone number.”

Of course, Su Tian could tell his intention. She accepted the piece of paper from him, nodded, and smiled. “Okay. Thank you, Uncle Liu.”

Office Liu took the man with him, and Su Tian followed behind him. She noticed that Xi Yun had pushed through the crowd to the front and was looking at her.

Su Tian walked over to him and asked, “What’s the matter?” He seemed worried.

Xi Yun asked softly, “Are they going to let the bad guy go?”

He was much more observant than the other bystanders. The confident look on the bad guy made him worry.

Su Tian patted him on his head, “Of course not. He must be punished for his bad behavior.”

Perhaps it was part of Su Tian’s ability – she was very convincing. A simple sentence from her, and Xi Yun felt relieved.
