The Sword Deity in Tokyo

Chapter 137: Let Love Be The Motivation To Study!

Chapter 137: Let Love Be The Motivation To Study!

Furuhashi Harunaka’s dream shattered as she woke up.

Furuhashi Sakurakyu let out a sigh as she sat in front of the computer.

Her plan was simple. All she had to do was let Furuhashi Harunaka fall in love with Kimura Kazuki. By doing so, the love between them should become her self-sustaining motivation to study hard.

Her daughter lacked motivation, according to Kimura Kazuki. Hence, Furuhashi Sakurakyu thought to herself, could she create a source of motivation for her daughter?

The initial plan was to seek help from Kimura Kazuki.

Furuhashi Harunaka had planned to learn Kendo from Kimura Kazuki, right? That could work, but her studies would have to improve if she wants to learn Kendo.

After giving it some thought, Furuhashi Sakurakyu realized that the plan was not sound. The reason Kimura Kazuki would agree to teach Furuhashi Harunaka Kendo was to help her realize her dreams. Would Kimura Kazuki continue teaching her after she achieves her dreams?

Not likely...

So the plan was given a pass.

On the other hand, the other plan was centered around the dream realm. The plan was for Furuhashi Sakurakyu to guide her daughters in the dream realm and to instill the merits of studying into them every day.

As she contemplated carefully, Furuhashi Sakurakyu came to the realization that it would not work as well. It was only a dream, even if she guided them well, the effects would not last long, and the motivation would be lost eventually.

However, love on the other hand... She could make her daughters dream about Kimura

Kazuki.

Dreaming of a boy every day would definitely make any girl think whether they have feelings for him.

Under the influence of self-hypnotism, feelings would develop naturally.

After that, Furuhashi Sakurakyu would tell her daughters in their dreams that Kimura Kazuki would definitely be going to the University of Tokyo as a top student. If their results were so terrible, it was very likely that they would not be able to see Kimura Kazuki anymore after he graduates. Furuhashi Sakurakyu knew that the plan was a risky one. It seemed as if she was giving away all four of her daughters to Kimura Kazuki, right?

But after a few days of observation, she knew she could trust Kimura Kazuki.

Kimura Kazuki was cold on the outside yet warm on the inside. When it came to love and relationships, he was undoubtedly slow-witted. Could it be that ordinary people just did not interest him as extraordinary as he was? Whatever the reasons, she knew that to make her daughters fall in love with Kimura Kazuki would lead to hardship in the future. For instance, being brutally rejected by Kimura Kazuki.

But it was merely rejection. From Furuhashi Sakurakyu’s point of view, it was not necessarily a bad thing.

The personalities and emotional qualities of a person would variably shift throughout his or her lifetime. She admired a senior when she was in junior high school, but she was harshly rejected after her confession. It was then discovered that the reason behind the rejection was the senior’s transfer of schools. He did not want to be in a long-distance relationship.

At the time, Furuhashi Sakurakyu had an impulse to transfer along with senpai. She chose not to in the end. As she grew up, the memories of her first love were kept deep in her heart. She could not even remember how the senior looks anymore.

It was merely a brief interlude.

She thought that Furuhashi Harunaka and the others being rejected was a good thing. It would mature her daughters. It would also be useful if the confession was a success. She did hope that Kimura Kazuki could be her son-in-law.

By that time, it would not matter which one of her daughters Kimura Kazuki accepts. Be it Furuhashi Harunaka, Furuhashi Natsui, Furuhashi Akino, or Furuhashi Fuyuno, it would all be acceptable for Furuhashi Sakurakyu.

By that time, with love as their motivation, their studies should have improved.

That was the plan devised by Furuhashi Sakurakyu.

Love can be a powerful catalyst. Whether it originates from family or romance, love can always turn into exceptional energy.

Furuhashi Sakurakyu let out a yawn as she arrived at her conclusion. She was tired.

Meanwhile, Kimura Kazuki was still refining the Sword of Clear Water. He had no idea that he had just been schemed on by Furuhashi Sakurakyu. Around seven o’clock the next morning, Kimura Kazuki had his eyes fixed on a blob of blue matter floating in the air. He was pleased. The blue matter in the air was the liquified Feather-Light Stone.

It was a success.

He was glad to know that his careful efforts were not in vain. It would only take slightly experienced Foundation State refiners two or three hours to refine a conventional weapon. But Kimura Kazuki was extra cautious, and it took more than 10 hours.

There was no choice, there is only one Sword of Clear Water. It would be too late for regrets if he failed.

As his thoughts wandered, he chanted in a low voice, “Sun and Moon!”. Out of nowhere, the Sun and Moon Sword trembled lightly as its body disintegrated gradually. But it only took about a minute for the body of the Sun and Moon Sword to disappear and become a ray of shining light. The ray of light floated in the air as if it were the sun.

Soon after, the ray of light merged into the blob of the blue matter right before Kimura Kazuki’s eyes. After quite a long while, the sword spirit of the Sun and Moon Sword completely fused into the matter... The sword’s body transformed as it absorbed the surrounding reiki.

It only took a while before an azure blade appeared before Kimura Kazuki. The sword body was thin yet sharp, the patterns on the surface were like rolling waves, and the edge of the blade was as if autumn frost. The blade had a subtle icy aura shimmering around it.

Kimura Kazuki nodded his head in satisfaction. Though the Sun and Moon Sword had always been a good sword, the all-black design was rather dull.

Of course, it was not like he had any prerequisite on the appearance of a sword.

Kimura Kazuki merged his own consciousness into the Sun and Moon Sword. He could feel the difference once he was in. The burden of art summoning was gone, and his consciousness was at ease. As he was caught up in his thoughts, the Sun and Moon Sword shifted into a small blade that was three inches long and swirled in the air. The swirling resulted in thin azure lines in the air, and as it sped up the lines turned into a ray of blue light.

The effortless sensation of being as quick as lightning brought joy to Kimura Kazuki’s heart. Though his spirit level remained the same, the weight cutback on the Sun and Moon Sword, which resulted from the fusion with Feather-Light stone, allowed his strength to increase tremendously.

Kimura Kazuki felt the tiredness creeping in as he loosened up, but he chose not to rest yet. He took a glance at Furuhashi Sakurakyu, who was sleeping on the table and absorbed her into the Sun and Moon Sword. In any case, there would not be a claustrophobic break out as she would be sleeping in a white room.

The daily study routines returned once it was daytime. It was not something new for Kimura Kazuki as he was accustomed to it.

When he arrived at the canteen during lunch break and was having his lunch, as usual, he noticed that except for Furuhashi Akino, the remaining girls were acting weirdly.

Furuhashi Natsui was acting weird because of what Furuhashi Harunaka told her after she had come home and passed her the 100,000 yen. She was embarrassed as she felt like her passwords were revealed to Furuhashi Harunaka, yet she also felt slightly joyful about it.

Although the 100,000 yen was rejected by senpai, the club that she had created received his recognition. In fact, he said that if she managed the club well, he would give her his support to be the President of the Student Council.

While it was unclear what happened exactly, it was one big step in the advancement of her relationship with senpai.

On the other hand, Furuhashi Harunaka and Furuhashi Fuyuno were eating their rice with their heads lowered. They seemed to be unable to look straight at Kimura Kazuki.

Kimura Kazuki was confused, but he did not mind it. Afternoon, at the Kendo Association.

The Kendo Association members looked at Kimura Kazuki admirably as he walked in. He smiled, knowing that he had these members by his side.

He then asked Furuhashi Harunaka to come out to the side to talk. The other members did not think much of it as the Kendo Association’s funds were approved with the help of Kimura Kazuki.

The relationship between the two of them was evidently not ordinary.
