Chapter 85 Class Upgrade
Congratulations! The Magic Staff reached the max level of refinement for this class. Make the class reach level one hundred as well, and then you will be elected to a new class.
That happened two months before the battle against Caelis, so Aion felt like he had found another awesome power in his system. Considering how much the had trained that month, he probably could use all his energy and experience to make one of the class reach level one hundred. He confirmed that, but when he made that happen.
Congratulations! The class Mage has reached level one hundred, and you are able to obtain a new class. Do you wish to sacrifice the materials, experience, and energy obtained to unlock the new class? Y/N
That was something that Aion didn't expect, so he didn't know what he should do. On the one hand, it felt like the new class would be like an upgrade, but he would sacrifice a lot, and he would have to train it from the beginning. In terms of materials alone, he would be sacrificing gems that would be equal to fifty gold coins.
"This is a tough call…" Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
The next two months passed in the blink of an eye. Just as he had expected, Caelis was unreasonable enough to trade his territory with the owner of the one near the border just to fight Aion. He had seen on the maps that only a couple of villages existed since the people of the Rosberg kingdom were nomads for the most part.
Cultivating fields and raising cattle is too boring for them. Even if it costs their lives, they are willing to start a battle to get a shipment of wine… They are that kind of people. So, Aion won't feel bad if he wins and make a couple of hundred people move. Things had also improved on his territory, but it was clear that most people didn't see him as their real lord. They only obeyed him because of his father. Thus, he won't feel bad if they lose their homes as well… The only problem is that he will die before that happens, and his mother will also fall into the hands of the enemy… He truly gave himself one hell of a reason not to lose.
On the other hand, while the enemy territory didn't pierce on the Rosberg kingdom that much, it was large enough to cross it from one coat to the other. So, if he wins, Aion will have access to maritime routes… which will make things interesting.
In any case, Aion headed alone to the border on the day of the fight. When he left, he saw his mother praying to the goddess again, and it worked for her last time, so that it might work this time as well.
Eventually, Aion saw one big armored guy with his arms crossed. He had tanned skin, red hair, and amber eyes. It was almost like every single part of his body was a sign to make people stay away from him. He also had red armor protecting his torso and a red spear on his back. However, he wasn't alone, and that complicated things a bit… One of the guys that were with him was the fighter that Aion saw near the dungeon a few times.
"To think that a brat this young has defeated Horis… He probably croaked by himself, and you dealt the last hit," Caelis said.
"That was exactly how it happened," Aion said. "Do you want to croak as well? Or drown? Or trip and smash your head against a rock?"
"At the very least, you have the aura of someone who can back their words… don't disappoint me, kid," Caelis said as he stepped forward. "Otherwise, the first king I will do once I defeat you will be to smash the head of your bitch mother."
"Ah… you shouldn't have said that," Aion said. "I didn't want to do this, but… you forced me to. Wait a minute."
Aion took out a shovel from his inventory and then he began to dig. After a while, he stopped since the hole was big enough to fit Caelis.
"This will be your grave… for a short while," Aion declared. "You will become the worst thing that you can imagine…"
Caelis charged, enraged… that was the first time someone pissed him off so much. His allies thought that Aion would be killed instantly, but in the end, Caelis tried to punch Aion, but his right fist was stopped by a silver spear. Everyone was left speechless, but the most surprised was Caelis, who didn't make Aion move a single centimeter from his spot. While he was another stupid massive warrior, he knew how acceleration and mass worked. When working together, their exercise a lot of power when they hit something, but not Aion, despite the difference in size.
Caelis tried to punch Aion with his other fist, but Aion just lowered his posture and then jumped backward. Making fun of the enemy was nice and all, but he couldn't take things too far. Even he could make mistakes, and he couldn't make any right now.

With Aion's current build, he only had enough mana to use Quick Spear without having to worry about mana while it stayed active. He had enough Dexterity to use his weapon well, and all the other points were in strength and speed. It was a high-risk and high-reward strategy, but most importantly, it was very fun…
