The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 48: Mysterious Art of Myriad Seals

Chapter 48: Mysterious Art of Myriad Seals

Min Hong looked at the naive Min Jiao and followed her with a slight chuckle. After following her for a few minutes, they reached an area with fewer bookshelves. Min Jiao pointed at a bookshelf hidden right at the end and said, "That's where you'll find them all."

Min Hong followed her sight and saw a shelf with only seven extremely old scrolls and manuals. They were yellow with age and had a plaque each, describing them in details.

[Low-Grade Royal Rank Shadowless Palm]

[Low-Grade Royal Rank Vacuum Hand].

Min Hong's eyes glittered at this sight. He swept through all seven of them. Based on their names alone, he could tell that these techniques were extremely powerful.

"You can't be seriously thinking of learning them, right?" Min Jiao who was standing next to Min Hong, complained with a disgruntled tone, when she saw Min Hong's expression.

Min Hong chuckled. Then his eyes abruptly glowed slightly and his vision was greatly enhanced, then he saw a dark colored Martial Arts Manual.

Sensing the unusual behavior of his eyes, he hurriedly asked; "What is that?"

He walked over still puzzled with what just happened moments ago. It seemed his eyes or more like the 'Eye of Myriad Universe' reacted to the dark colored manual. He picked it up and read its introduction. "Low-Grade Royal Rank Art of Myriad Seals, incomplete."

He blankly stared at the introduction. He could not believe that a Royal ranked martial art manual was actually incomplete. He turned to Min Jiao with an inquiring look.

"This martial art manual was the only thing that grandpa could bring back from the Mysterious Cottage at the Min Family Resort. However, just as the description says, the art is incomplete, but that was just because grandpa felt it was still usable, but it's not."

"It cannot be used to cultivate Qi nor body refining and it wasn't applicable to other martial arts too. If you really want to learn a Royal rank martial art, I suggest that you learn something else." Min Jiao spoke as she strutted forward.

"If grandpa was actually willing to keep an incomplete manual, this must imply that the Art of Myriad Seals must be really powerful." Min Hong commented still with a questioning gaze.

"It's okay. However, there is no point since you can't fully master it anyways. According to grandpa, even if you master this incomplete manual, it will only be as powerful as a Low-grade Royal rank art. Or perhaps, even as weak as a High-grade Mortal rank martial art." Min Jiao replied with a smile.

"Furthermore, it is exceedingly difficult to master this incomplete art. In fact, many castle members have attempted it, but only grandpa and your mother have been successful. However, as it's might lose out to most Low-grade Royal rank art, eventually they abandoned it." Min Jiao warned him, noticing that Min Hong was still tempted by the art.

"Oh?" Min Hong was slightly taken aback, to think that only his mother and grandpa have managed to learn this martial art. It seems like this technique was really impressive.

"If it's incomplete, I wonder if the Eye of Myriad Universe could also restore the lost chapters?" Min Hong wondered.

Based on his experience with the other techniques he had learnt, the glowing figures could perfect any martial art or cultivation technique.

But the question now was, could it restore an incomplete manual?

If it was really able to complete and perfect the Art of Myriad Universe, Min Hong would have indeed uncovered a treasure beyond this world.

Even though he was unable to grasp how strong the Art of Myriad Seals was now, the fact was, even incomplete, it was still a Royal Rank art. It would at least be an Earth rank art when complete!

Earth Rank Martial Art! In the entire Soaring Cloud Village, there wasn't even a single High-grade Royal rank technique, not to talk of an Earth ranked one.

If Min Hong could master it, he had full confidence that he would be able to defeat any 4 Star Dan Formation stage expert he comes across!

"I have to try!" Min Hong's heart was burning with anticipation, he was excited about the idea of learning a potential Earth rank martial art, as he caressed the dark colored manual.

He then suppressed his raging blood and racing heart.

"Oi, you cheeky little fellow, why don't you listen to me? Are you seeking to get beaten?!" Min Jiao, who was next to him, chided after she saw that Min Hong was still adamant about learning this incomplete technique even after all her explanation and advice.

"Uhm, let me try learning it first, then if it's not suitable, I will just exchange it for another one." Min Hong replied with a slight chuckle.

"You. urgh, fine. Whatever." Min Jiao who was evidently frustrated, stamped her foot on the floor. Previously, she had seen many people try to learn this incomplete art as well.

Many of them held the same mentality as Min Hong and naively believed that they could master it.

However, in the end, all of them ended up disappointed and eventually switched over to another martial art after having wasted ample time.

Therefore, she didn't want to see Min Hong go down the same path of this endlessly fruitless endeavor.

"Rest assured senior sister Min Jiao. I am merely curious. I have not made any concrete plans on training it yet." Min Hong lied through his teeth. However, with a smile because he knew that Min Jiao was merely looking out for him.

"Alright, you best take care of yourself. Don't delay your training because of this. Those assholes from the Zhou and Wang Family have been eyeing us for a while now, and so far, we have frequently clashed with their younger generation members."

The moment she said that, traces of anger flashed on her cheeks. Immediately her face turned dark a she sighed: "However, the fact remains that those assholes are indeed stronger than us."

"We might have more talents in numbers, but the few they have are very strong. Every time we clash against those few, we always come out on the losing end. Furthermore, as it is inappropriate for the elders to intervene, they can only watch us be beaten silly."

"Who is the current strongest amongst the younger generation of the Zhou and Wang Family?" Min Hong asked as he nodded gently. He was not surprised by this fact, after all the Min Family had over twenty youths in the latter stage of the Qi Sea stage, but only less than six have managed to enter the Dan Formation stage.

But for the other families who had deep roots and are very well-established in the Soaring Cloud Village, they have more Dan Formation youths of about eight to ten of them, but the rest of them are too weak. So, everything was still tipped in favor of the Min Family.

Min Family had the best seeds, they just needed little time to grow. This is why the future of all the other three factions were threatened, because if these youths should grow, the Min Family would end up having so many experts that the remaining faction might be forced to submit to them.

Though they felt threatened only the Zhou Family decided to take the wicked and despicable acts of killing these future experts of the Min Family.

This was the reason for Min Tian's order that every youth should return within the Min Family wall, and why he himself had taken the responsibility of ensuring their safe return.

"Amongst the Zhou Family, their strongest should be Zhou Li and based on my knowledge, he had reached the 2 Star Dan Formation stage about four months ago. Right now, he might have reached a higher level."

"As for the Wang Family, it should be Wang Yingying. She just entered the 3 Star Dan Formation stage about a week ago." When Min Jiao mentioned this name, she gritted her teeth. Clearly there was some bad blood between her and Yingying.

"Zhou Li and Wang Yingying" Min Hong silently committed those names to memory, as he scowled at the fact that, the Min Family still need at least five years before they can absorb or at least rival these other factions.

"What about the merchant tribe?" Min Hong suddenly remembered the faction that was on good terms with the Min Family.

"For the Merchant Tribe, the strongest fellow should be Gu Yun. Right now, his strength is in the 9 Star King stage, but that much power is still enough to put him on par with Zhou Li and Wang Yingying. In fact, he had once battled Zhou Li before and was defeated."

"According to the rumors, he could have broken through to the Emperor stage but held back, apparently he was looking for a specific beast core to absorb. He had said he would remain in the King stage until he gets that beast core." Min Jiao replied.

"Indeed, a fearsome bunch" Min Hong lightly smiled, involuntarily stroking the dark colored manual in his hands. There was no point for him to contend with his peers in the Min Family anymore, instead, he would contend with those already reputable bunch.

"Yeah, in comparison, the current strength of our Min Family youths is still lacking." Min Jiao sighed, however, her spirits promptly lifted as she stared at Min Hong and happily proclaimed; "However, things are going to change. With a dark horse like you around, our Min Family would definitely excel in this upcoming hunt."

"Senior sister Min Jiao, you speak too highly of me. After all, my current strength hasn't even reached the peak of the second plane, compared to these three people, I still have a long way to go." Min Hong shook his head with a smile on his face.

"Quit acting coy. You merely started training just a little over five years ago, don't you know how much earlier they have started training? At your current speed, you can easily overtake Zhou Li and become the top younger generation member in the entire Soaring Cloud Village." Min Jiao refuted as she rolled her eyes.

"However, let me warn you first. Once you become stronger than Zhou Li, you must help take care of that b*tch Wang Yingying. Or else, I will never forgive you! as if remembering something, Min Jiao suddenly threatened Min Hong.

Min Hong was stunned as he saw the terrifying glint in Min Jiao's eyes, it was as if he was looking at a small ferocious female hound. Immediately he nodded his head like his life depended on it and replied "Since senior sister Min Jiao has requested this favor, I will definitely fulfil it."

"However, why must I bother myself with Zhou Li's strength to deal with Wang Yingying?" Min Hong asked the question that was seeming a little out of sorts to him.

"This is because Wang Yingying is that bastard's fianc. Before you can deal with her you must first get past Zhou Li and if you manage to deal with her first, you must still prepare to face Zhou Li afterwards." Min Jiao explained as if saying it left a bad taste in her mouth.

"Understood." Min Hong was initially taken aback, but he still ended up nodding in agreement.

"Alright, it is getting late. Time to leave. After you register the technique with the guards, you will be allowed to take the incomplete martial arts home." Min Jiao nodded in satisfaction before she turned and walked out of the library.

As she placed her jade-like hands behind her back, her ponytail extended towards her slender waist, swinging back and forth in tandem with her slender gait, giving off the impression of a very lively girl.

As he followed behind Min Jiao, Min Hong quickly registered the incomplete martial art manual; Art of Myriad Seals and then left the library with the manual in hand.

After he left the martial arts library, Min Jiao and Min Hong chatted for a while before she finally left for the training grounds, apparently, she was also undergoing rigorous training because of the upcoming hunt in the 'Battle for the Central Region'.

Min Hong waited for her to go far before heaving a sigh of relief as he swiftly proceeded forwards towards his training ground atop the mountain.

He was extremely eager to see if the 'Eye of Myriad Universe' could really complete the missing parts of this incomplete martial arts. Then if the glowing figures could then furtherly perfect it!

Art of Myriad Seals! Let's see what the future holds for you!
