Chapter 12 Building Walls [3]
After emerging from the cave, I return to the surface and find the elves diligently working, extracting stones and wood from the surroundings. I observe with satisfaction the results of their hard work, noticing the piles of resources that have been accumulated over time.
With a determined expression, I approach the elves and raise my hand, signaling them to stop their tasks. They gather around me, forming a row in front of me, eager to hear what I have to say.
I look at each of them, feeling the seriousness of the moment, and begin to speak: "What happened to the elf who was dismembered by that spider monster?" I ask, lifting the head of the deceased elf to display the outcome of our confrontation. "A monster killed him, but I avenged him and exterminated all the creatures that inhabited the cave!"
A solemn silence hangs over the group as they absorb the news. Some elves lower their gaze, showing respect for the loss, while others maintain their impenetrable expressions. I sense a mixture of emotions among them--gratitude, reverence, and at the same time, a palpable eagerness to receive their rewards.
With a calculated smile on my lips, I observe the change in expression on the elves' faces when I mention the magical tools they will receive. The news seems enough to distract them from the death of their companion, focusing on something they consider more tangible and valuable.
"You may keep your tools," I say, allowing satisfaction to be heard in my voice. "But remember! Do not use them irresponsibly, or you will meet the same fate as this elf." I let the head of the elf fall to the ground, symbolizing the severity of my words.
The elves exchange glances, showing surprise and fascination. The prospect of possessing magical working tools awakens a mixture of curiosity and joy in their countenances. Some of them can barely contain their excitement, diverting their gaze from the gruesome scene to focus on the promised rewards.
Satisfied with the elves' reaction, I smile inwardly, acknowledging the power I hold over them. These naive and foolish beings allow themselves to be swayed by the possibilities presented before them, and someone like me can easily manipulate them.
With determination, I begin to gather all the scattered materials, picking up the stones and wood extracted by the elves, stacking them neatly alongside the other resources. I approach the cave where I left the chest and squat down to retrieve the iron ingots created from the melted ore, carefully placing them in my inventory.
I look around to ensure I haven't left anything behind, and satisfied with my collection, I finally turn my attention to the elves surrounding me. With an air of leadership, I announce: "It's time to return!" My voice sounds firm and assured.
The elves, carrying their new magical tools, look at me with expectation and readiness. They are ready to follow my orders, trusting in my leadership to guide them back to the safety of the tribe.
I begin to walk towards the clearing's exit, with the elves following in a row behind me. Each step we take echoes through the surroundings, and silence prevails, interrupted only by the soft sound of our feet stepping on the grass.
As I distance myself from the cave and return to the familiar path, I feel a mixture of satisfaction and anticipation. The power and control I have gained over these elves are undeniable, and the sight of the collected resources strengthens my determination to achieve even greater goals.
While leading the group back to the tribe, my mind already begins to plot new plans, leveraging the trust I have gained to shape the destiny of those who follow me. These elves, blinded by the illusion of power and ignorant of my true purpose, are mere pawns in my game, a ladder for my ascent towards total dominance.
I continue to walk with steady steps, knowing that power and ambition fuel my determination, and that the path to the pinnacle of power will be paved with the unwary and foolish who cross my path.
With a determined gaze, I enter the village and announce loudly and clearly: "You are free!"
Instantly, the elves disperse quickly, each eager to use their new magical tools and explore the possibilities they offer.
As the elves move away, my attention turns to the imminent task: building my fortress. Holding a stone block in my hands, I survey the clearing's surroundings in search of the ideal spot to start. My eyes roam every corner, evaluating the terrain and imagining the grandeur of the structure that will rise.
I decide to start with the walls, outlining the perimeter of my future fortress. I raise the first block and carefully fit it into place, feeling the solidity and promise of protection it represents. With precise movements, I continue to place block after block as the structure begins to take shape.
As I work, determination is evident on my face. Each block I place is an assertion of my power and dominion over this territory. The elves around me watch with curiosity and admiration, aware that progress depends on my leadership.
As the walls rise, my mind outlines plans for the next stage: my small castle. I visualize the rooms and defenses, imagining how each detail will contribute to my supremacy. The vision begins to materialize, and with each added block, I feel closer to achieving my goals.
While working tirelessly, the tribe around me begins to transform. The elves who once roamed freely now see the construction taking shape, showing surprise in their facial expressions. They will bow before my fortress, seeking my protection and the magical tools that only I can provide.
As I place the final blocks of the wall, a feeling of triumph washes over me. I look at the horizon, knowing that my fortress will grow in size and splendor, becoming the epicenter of my dominion.
The joy in my body makes my blood circulate and without thinking too much my sword of flesh rises ready to spill the blood of virgin elven women.
