The Empyreal Gem Master

Usage of Ability Gems in the most rudimentary way possible.

These were the words that the Night Walker, Jujugan, uttered while easily holding back a massive nine tailed Tier 9 Mutated Gem Chimera.

Encased in a glacial flower, radiant crimson flames bloomed from all tails of the Tier 9 Emperor, its eyes utterly livid as it sought to break out.

Jujugan watched this scene calmly while Alexander and others listened intently to what he was saying.

On his muscular chest, 9 points of brilliant light were shining as he disconnected his hand from the glacial flower prison he had encased the Tier 9 Emperor in, and he instead turned around to lock his gaze onto Alexander entirely while bringing his hand into his chest.

"At the most basic level, Ability Gems can be looked at as Gates. Doorways that grant one access to a predetermined location- thank location being a signature expression of Energeia."

"The Fireball Ability Gem is a Gate that when one places their Energeia into, they can release a ball of fire in the outside world. Lightning Strike one ushers in their Energeia into the Ability Gem merely releases a strike of lightning. But all of this is just the utmost basic level. I have the Rare Ability Gem, Glacial Ice Cataclysm, that merely allowed me to unleash a heavy cataclysmic blow of ice, but now…"

Around his body.

The already cold temperatures became even colder as exquisite ice flowers began to manifest around him!

Not just that.

Within moments, a humanoid sculpture began to be designed in front of Jujugan as it had the same handsome young face of Alexander, his facial features exquisitely recreated to shocking details!

"Instead of just using my Ability Gem to unleash that single preset strike, I have expanded this doorway. Through this single gate of this Ability Gem, I can now do a lot more as I passed through that doorway and into what all Ability Gems lead to: the Covenants of Nature."

BOOM!

Alexander's eyes became unfathomably stern as he watched on.

At this moment, Jujugan closed his eyes as he pointed above him, the dark skies filled with mist beginning to seethe as from the tallest point of the surrounding trees waves of water formed and began to coalesce.

Seeing such a scene astonished all those watching as the waves of gathering water that could be enough to fill a river came together and began to freeze- forming into a massive spear of ice that only increased in size over time!

More and more waves of water surged into it as it became horrendously sharp, and with his burning head radiating brightness, Jujugan pressed down.

ROAAR!

Behind him, the Tier 9 Emperor encased in a frozen flower prison seemed just about break through as its whole body was aflame, but its cries were furious as it felt a heavy sensation of death- its eyes only being able to observe as the massive spear of ice that formed above thundered down with tremendous speed and weight- piercing the flower it was imprisoned in as in the next moments, it pierced its reinforced back and punctured through.

It went past its stomach as a sharp spear point gushed out below it along with its glistening Organs!

At the same time, extremely cold waves of temperature froze everything within its body as ever so slowly, its life force faded and its body turned into a live sculpture.

"..."

The scene was a glorious one to see as the Night Walker, surrounded by endless coldness, continued.

"The Covenant of Nature…Water. I have yet to truly grasp this abstruse Covenant that governs the nature of what we all know to be the element of water. But the more we place our souls into the Ability Gems- the Gates that can lead one towards the Covenants of Nature, the closer we can be to them. Until eventually, we break past the distinctions of Tier 9 Emperors and become…Rulers of the Covenant!"

As he spoke, his eyes held an intense longing!

For something he felt so close to but had never been able to fully grasp.

Covenants of Nature.

Ability Gems could lead to them as on the way there, one could really use their ability gems in fantastical ways and not merely in a rudimentary fashion.

Alexander and his minions were stupefied as their world views were opened- even the Vigor Lich Flayer seeming frozen as its jaws clacked to ask.

"Is there…a Covenant of Death?"

He felt as if a path his very being should have been following was there as he couldn't help but ask.

The Night Walker stared at him calmly before he nodded.

"The Covenant of Death. The Covenant of Life. The Covenant of Light, Fire, Air, Earth, Space…all the countless Covenants that make up the nature of our Worlds. My people theorized all of this, but even with all of our power- we could not stop our world from dying. Had I been able to become a Ruler of a Covenant. Had I been able to truly grasp the Covenant of Water…"

Jujugan shook his head with regret as within Alexander, his Enneagram was buzzing!

Its voice- his voice, was already responding again and again.

The waves of information were put together as they enacted a change that even Alexander didn't know what the answer to would be.

He only looked at the Night Walker that had just decimated a Tier 9 Mutated Gem Chimera- and it was all because he was using much more of the power of his Ability Gem as he came close to the Covenant of Water.

He only came close to it, but he could already exceed what his Ability Gem stated it could do!

Such a reality caused Alexander to look at himself and his Enneagram.

If he could manage to do what the Night Walker was trying to do...would he not be able to attach himself to multiple different Covenants since he could have multiple Gem Recipes?!
