The Devil's Sweetheart

Any place is good for eavesdropping if you know how to eavesdrop. Both Reese and Harley fall into the exact category. From the time, Leena went into Devin's room, both fixed their ears to the door. Despite Devin's warning, which they least bothered, they blended themselves into that soundproofing door in hopes to catch a word of their conversation.

"I am scared that he would do something to my goddess." Harley almost cried. As far as she remembered, she doesn't have an idea when and how Devin met Leena but with the way, they were locking horns with each other over the phone, she understood that they are close.

"But why I am scared that Leena would be the one to do something to my prince charming." Reese cried with frustration. From the day, Leena appeared right after the wedding, Reese has removed the man-hater tag with the way Leena was boasting about her so-called 'brand' and 'gentleman'. Is Devin, the brand and gentleman she was talking about?

While they were arguing with each other, a pair of click-clack heels sound infiltrated into their ears and instantly they flipped back to see Regina standing behind them with a file in her hands.

"Why are you here?" Harley asked in irritation. From the day, Devin resumed the work, Regin comes up with some kind of excuse to get into his office room. Twice, Harley endured but this bummer doesn't show a shame at all even if she has reprimanded twice. But Devin would flare upon Harley if she brought her to his office room. She was already getting a hunch that she is after Devin.

"I have finished the latest designs for the next season. I wanted to show it to sir before I proceed further." Regina replied politely. She did not plan to come here, not after she was chastised by the bitch standing in front of her but her blood was boiling when Devin is alone with that shrewd woman in his office. She wanted to interrupt them by going into his office at least or listen to the conversation.

"Listen here, Regina. This is an office, not a fish market. You can't come and go to the CEO's room whenever you wish. I have already warned you twice and next time if I see you here, expect a warning letter from HR." Harley snapped with disgust which was all evident on her face. She began to criticize Devin for selecting the application of this downer in the first place. Although Regina is very good at her work, morals and ethics are the first and foremost for an employee in WD which she lacks.

"I am sorry, Harley! I will keep that in mind." She turned to walk away with a smile but Harley and Reese could see the woman shoveling her nails into the palm.

"She should have been in a mental asylum," Reese added. "Leena already gave her left and right yesterday."

"You guys have met her already?" Harley asked in surprise.

Reese nodded her head and elucidated everything that ensued with Regina when they were in a hospital.

"She deserves it. Only Leena can suppress that bitch." Harley seethed. She began to understand the reason Regina stopped by the hospital. While she knew her grandfather doesn't fall into that bitch traps, she was planning to confirm with him after she goes home.

Both were gossiping on Regina in all seriousness until the door was unfastened from the other end and Leena arrived with a red face and flushed cheeks followed by Devin with a mirth dancing on his lips.

The moment Leena arrived, Harley smiled brightly gazing at her like a Korean fangirl while Reese was eyeing Devin with a shy demeanor and as usual, Devin's eyes were only on his sweetheart.

Only Leena was the bystander here observing the three pairs of eyes. She did not mind Harley and Devin watching her but Reese's eyeing on her property was a big no and she already made a note to warn the snoring tractor to keep her eyes in check especially away from Devin.

"Shall we leave, Reese? It's time." Leena cleared her throat breaking their stares.

"Umm... It's already lunchtime. If you don't mind, can we go for lunch together?" Harley asked expecting a positive reply from Leena.

"I am a little busy and_"

"Why do you ask her. She listens to my words. It's only lunch right. Don't worry. I will bring her." If Leena comes for lunch, Devin would tag along and that is what Reese wished, for she can get the time to see the hotty for a little long time. She was internally giggling until she sensed a sharp glare from Leena and with that Reese immediately looked down with a pout.

Leena did not want to go, but seeing the expectation in Harley's eyes, Leena reluctantly accepted the invitation with a condition that Devin should not tag along with them.

Harley assured her instantly thinking of throwing a bundle of files onto him to keep him engaged.

Leena was swearing like a trooper inwardly when she was dragged into his car at the last minute. From where he appeared, they did not understand.

She felt Devin has become even more shameless after he revealed the identity. Her thoughts broke and Leena nearly jumped from her seat when he appeared in front of her face suddenly.

'Is he planning to give a heart attack!! Did he watch those Korean dramas where the male lead teases the female lead and leans forward to fasten the seatbelts for them?'

"W_hat. If it is a seat belt, I have already put on my_"

Her words stopped at the throat when his hand brushed her cheek lightly sending ripples in her gutter.

"An eyelash glued on to your cheek." He blew on her cheek and got back to his seat, accelerated the car as if nothing has happened.

"Seducer," Leena muttered loud enough for Devin to hear and gazed out of the window to find a distraction while Devin was fighting back the smile that wants to break out from his lips. Until they reached the destination, the silence prevailed in the car.

Right after getting down from the car, he strolled to the other end to open the door for her, but even before that, Leena got down and walked into the hotel leaving him alone. Her silent treatment was worse than her anger and it was starting to bother him, thinking that if he had gone overboard in keeping his identity as a secret from her.

Walking into the familiar place, her memories went back to their second encounter where she has come to ruin the date and met this shameless idiot and Andrew. Speaking of Andrew, she made a note to talk with him since it's been three days and he did not even give a call. She solely wanted to ask if he has sorted out his feelings for Jaspee.

After they got settled in a private dining room, Leena was conversing with Harley and Reese. Devin just sat there showing his puppy eyes thinking that she would talk to him, but Leena did not give in. She was not mad at him, in fact, she liked the surprise but Leena wanted to make him repent for his mistake so that he will have a second thought when lying to her in the future. If she will let it loose every time, he would not understand the importance of it. Only she knew the pain she endured for three days without seeing him and right when she saw him in the office room alone, she wanted to hug him tightly but she suppressed. Until she tortures him a little, she didn't want to get together with him.

Finally, a waiter boy appeared and handed the menu of Azure and its specials. When Leena looked at the familiar face, she screamed.

"Handsome boy!! it's you. Do you remember me? What a coincidence to meet you again." Leena asked in excitement.

"L_ikewise madam." He politely greeted. But only he knew his inner thoughts. After seeing the mad girl, he was terrified again. The last time she appeared here, she roasted him live with her banana smoothie and lava ghost story and now he was scared of what kind of story she would cook up.

"Can I have your order, please?" He asked nervously turning to the other two women when he sensed a deathly stare from someone.

"Why did this woman call me handsome?" The boy cried internally.

Harley ordered the food for everyone and finally, she went to Leena's favorite part.

"Along with it, please get three banana smoothies and blend it with almond milk."

The waiter boy nodded and left the area to escape from the banana girls. He was not understanding if all those three friends have a banana fetish. Little did he knew, all the three smoothies were ordered for Leena alone.

Even Devin was confused when he knew Harley rarely drinks juice and ordering three banana smoothies was out of the question but her next words were bombshell on his head.

"I ordered banana smoothie especially for you, Leena," Harley said, initiated the conversation.

"How do you know that I like banana smoothies?" Leena asked in surprise.

"I_I am a big fan of you and I love the blog 'holy banana pants' which you have created. I just love the posts you write and I always wait for new updates. You are an amazing blogger. Even the hair color which I have dyed today is the one you suggested in one of the posts." She shyly replied.

Harley's words pummeled in Devin's head continuously. Blogger! the kinky stuff that pervert blogger writes which Harley follows. That is what Harley is talking about? Is this the reason she took an emergency and got transformed into a new avatar? So the hair coloring and make-over is for Leena!!

So, the pervert blogger which I always scold is my sweetheart, Leena all along??
