Chapter 19: A New Enemy Discovered
Chapter 19: A New Enemy Discovered
I looked at Eman and told him to call all his men. he was still a little shocked, but still called them. one after the other they were all informed that...'Boss is back'. in a matter of minutes they were at Eman's doorstep.
[knock] [knock]
Eman swung open the door, and they stepped inside, joining me on the couch, eager to understand the situation.
"Boss are you alright now? What will we do from now on?" Asked Darjan, a spark of curiosity in his eyes, mirrored by the others.
With conviction, I announced, "I am Dionis Asani the man who will conquer all of my city, what the fuck do you think we are gonna from now on!? of course, we will conquer! that's what my organization is for!"
"Hell yeah! The boss is back!" they exclaimed in unison, their excitement palpable.
Despite battling the weight of guilt within me, I repeated a mantra, almost trying to convince myself, "Keep moving forward. It will be worth it." Even tho, I was not sure if it was going to be.
Eman rose from the couch, switching on the PlayStation 3 and tossing two controllers onto the couch. Meanwhile, one of the men made his way to the kitchen to prepare some popcorn. The table quickly filled with snack and drinks, creating an atmosphere which cannot be replicated these days. without wasting a moment we started playing tekken 6 on the PS3.
"Darjan you have a lot of connections right?" I asked him while fighting him on tekken.
He nodded, acknowledging his network. "Well yea I think so."
"Excellent. Do you happen to know any criminal organizations?" I inquired, hopeful for something big.
His response was toned with a hint of fright. "Yes, there is one mafia family in Trbovlje that I'm aware of, but even the thought of crossing paths with them sends shivers down my spine."
"What why?"
He started telling me who they are. They seem to be really known in Zasavje.
Intrigued, I pressed for more information. Darjan proceeded to enlighten me about the infamous Krasniqi family, a name that held significant weight within the region of Zasavje, including cities like Trbovlje, Zagorje, and Hrastnik.
They reigned supreme in the drug trafficking underworld, their reputation extending far and wide. Protected by corrupt police departments and a vast web of connections, they struck fear into the hearts of all who dared challenge them.
Their stronghold lay in Trbovlje, further adding more challenge for me.
"So it's an Albanian mafia family, huh?" i question Darjan
"Yea..."
The weight of this revelation threatened to crush my motivation, casting doubt on my ambitions. But, despite my faltering confidence, I maintained a facade of certainty. "I'm going home," I declared abruptly, putting my controller down.
Eman, taken aback by my sudden departure, asked, "Why? Let's continue playing. There's no rush." All the boys equally taken aback.
"No. I'm going home, but here is that bitches phone number, you can call her and have some fun with her. If she won't come tell her that I ordered her" I suggested, a touch of darkness in my words.
Eman's face twisted into a wicked grin. "Oh, aight! I wasn't satisfied the last time. Now, I get another chance to have my way with her!" he chuckled all the men joining in aswell.
Leaving the boys behind, I departed for home, where contemplation consumed me. The pressing issue at hand was the indestructible Krasniqi family, the key to my conquest of Trbovlje.
The potential of becoming their subordinate briefly crossed my mind, but my ego demanded more—I wanted to be the boss, not a mere lackey.
Immersed in a cascade of thoughts, I sought peace in a long shower, hoping that clarity would accompany the water's cleansing touch. Yet, the path forward remained unpredictable. They were better than me in every aspect, my chances of conquering my city were lowering each day.
Then, like a flickering flame igniting, an idea sparked within my mind. "I have something they don't," I muttered, a newfound way of approaching the situation came to my mind. It felt foolproof, and I emerged from the shower, full of confident.
Without hesitation, I got out of the bathroom and dialed Darjan's number. "Darjan, tomorrow after school, I will come to your house. I need something from you," I explained, sitting down on my couch.
"Sure thing, boss," He said and I ended the call.
A sense of calmness washed over me. Confidence replaced nervousness; I knew I would find a way to destroy the Krasniqi family, even if the exact details remained unknown.
The following day arrived, and as soon as I finished school, I went home, left my backpack and made my way to Darjan's house.
Entering the house, Darjan kindly showed me around the house until we entered the living room and his father noticed me.
In an instant he flew off the couch grabbing a baseball bat and screaming at me, "Motherfucker! You wanna fuck with me again!?"
"No, now put the baseball bat before something bad happens to you—again."
Despite my words, he continued to rage, threatening me with violent language. Swiftly, he swung the bat in my direction, but fortunately, I managed to dodge it, and the bat collided with the wall behind me. Breathing heavily, he backed off but continued yelling, "You bitch, you're scared now huh? Hahaha knell down and beg for mercy?"
"I'm sorry," I said, trying to sound sincere. I offered a slight bow, hoping to show respect.
Both Darjan and his father were surprised by my sudden apology.
"What... Don't give me that shit!" his father retorted furiously. "You stole 3k$ from my son and my precious bracelet! What the fuck will an apology do!"
Hoping to explain myself, I quickly responded, "I know I messed up in the past, but I've changed. I gave Darjan his money back and even more to make amends. We're close friends now, and we hang out almost every day. Please, can we let bygones be bygones?"
Darjan stepped in, attempting to mediate the situation. "Dad, we're best friends now. I trust them, and you should too. Please, be nice."
His father's rage showed no signs of decreasing, and he continued to hurl threats at me. "I don't fucing care! Get the fuck out of my house before I kill you!!"
Sighing, I accepted the fact I couldn't suppress his anger and stepped out of the house. Darjan, torn between his father's anger and his Boss, decided to accompany me outside.
As we walked aimlessly around the city, he seemed troubled and attempted to speak several times but hesitated.
Noticing his unease, I reached out to him with a concerned expression. "What's up, bro?" I asked, trying to provide some comfort.
He sighed, clearly conflicted. "Boss, I'm really sorry. Sometimes he's just such a bitch," Darjan vented, frustrated by his father's behavior.
I shook my head gently, offering understanding. "Don't talk about your father that way, its alright I understand. it's a normal reaction."
Trying to ease the tension, I suggested, "Let's grab something to eat. It might help take our minds off this whole situation."
Darjan nodded appreciatively, grateful for the distraction. I led him to a nearby restaurant, and as we entered, we found a quiet corner to sit. Once we settled down, we both ordered our favorite dishes.

While devouring the food I ordered, I leaned in and addressed Darjan.
"Do you happen to have the phone number of the Krasniqi family's boss?" I inquired, hoping for a breakthrough.
Regrettably, he responded, "Seriously, what do you take me for? I'm not some all-knowing connection wizard, but I have a dumbass friend who constantly boasts about working for the family, even though I think he's just lying."
"Call him then."
With his phone in hand, Darjan dialed his 'friends' number, the anticipation mounting with each ring.
Ding
The dealer answered, his voice laced with suspicion. "Yo, who is this?"
"Hello, my name is hmmm, I don't know yet... anyway, I wish to speak with your boss. Can you provide me with his phone number?" I requested, my tone firm and commanding.
"Who the fuck are you?" he retorted, his skepticism evident.
I adopted a more menacing tone. "look here buddy if you don't inform your boss of me, he will chop your head off."
His defiance faded, and he questioned, "And why is that?"
"Because I have business to do with him," I replied, emphasizing the urgency.
"Alright, alright, why didn't you say so sooner, here is his number 051*******"
Thanking him for his cooperation, I ended the call, satisfaction washing over me. looking at Darjan, I shared my decision, "Darjan, we will contact the boss tomorrow."
"Let's just hope he didn't give you a random phone number hahaha," Darjan joked.
Hours later of talking with Darjan, I paid for the food and bid farewell to him. Making my way back home, anticipation mingling with uncertainty. The daunting task of destroying the Krasniqi family loomed large, yet an unshakable confidence coursed through my veins. I knew deep down that my plan would succeed.
