The Alpha's Return

Chapter 94 - Private Flight

The limo screeched to a halt after a thirty minute ride. Lucas got off the car and looked around. It was a windy place, with nothing in sight except for tar and concrete.

And straight in front of them, a huge plane, a full fifteen meters, towered in front of them. Angela got off the car as well, and she clutched her dress as she walked aside Lucas.

"You forgot your suitcase.", she said.

"The man will bring it. All I need is the briefcase anyways. That is all that matters.", Lucas chuckled. He then walked towards the plane. A man was standing guard, and he stopped them.

"You are?", he asked.

"The ones who own this plane. If you move, we can board now.", Angela said as she walked forward. She flashed something on her phone. The man looked at it and nodded.

"Welcome back, Ms. Romero. The seats are ready, and the breakfast menu will be served shortly.", the man bowed down as he moved away.

"Wow, I am impressed. A breakfast menu? Since when was that a thing? I thought that you were a street kid, Angela. You know. One of those kids who had nothing to eat, and were roaming all around with dirty clothes, no parents, the like. When did you become the very thing that you hated?", Lucas chuckled.

"Shut up. I never changed. I just, improved. My heart is in the same place, and my morals are not compromised, unlike your twisted sense of humor.", Angela scoffed.

The both of them walked onto the plane. It was a cozy cabin, and there were a few seats to choose from. The both of them sat opposite to each other, and there was a table in front of them.

"Is there any entertainment system?", Lucas asked.

"An entertainment system? What do you want to do? Are you a kid? Can't even stay still for a few hours?", Angela scoffed.

"Calm down. What happened to you? You used to be so calm, chill, and just cooler than the rest of them. Now, even you became a blabbering mess.", Lucas sighed as he rested his neck.

"Now is a better time than ever. What do you think of the marquess' goals? What do you think could have possibly happened to her for her to take such drastic steps.", Lucas asked.

"Do you really want to do this? What are you going to do if she was wronged? We still have to kill her. We still have to save the world.", Lucas said.

"But it just doesn't make any sense to me. To destroy the world? I thought all the bad guys wanted to control it.", Angela said.

"Cannot say for sure. She might have been tortured as a kid, faced a lot of troubles, and no one might have stood up for her. Or, and this is more plausible. She is just a psychopath. What do you mean, reasons? People who want to destroy the world are all a little cuckoo in the head.", Lucas said.

"Kind of ironic coming from you, with Fenrir inside and all.", Angela said.

"Fenrir never wanted to destroy the world, per se. He wants to kill Odin, and the Norse gods, Two entirely different things. He happens to have a soft spot for this place, actually. He will not allow some upstart to just come and destroy all the fun in the world.", Lucas said.

"As if I will believe that. And what about you? Aren't you a psychopath as well? For half your life, all you did was killing.", Angela said.

"Don't call me a psychopath. Never in my life was I truly a serial killer, like you guys said I was. I was more of a... what do you say... a morally upright killer. I am not like those noobs who kill the kids and women of the world. I am the guy who goes to the bar and kills the one who raped a girl. Don't club me with this woman, who is clearly crazy.", Lucas said, shuddering.

All of a sudden, a person walked up to them. He was wearing a white uniform.

"We will be departing in a few minutes. Do you wish to have any beverages at this time?", the man, who was clearly a pilot, asked them.

"No thanks.", Angela politely declined.

"I'll have one after we are in the air. Where are the drinks at?", Lucas asked.

"They are located at the far end of the cabin. If you do wish to, you are welcome to help yourself.", the pilot said as he went back to the pilot's cabin.

"Where was I? Oh right. A piece of advice. Just do not think about a back story when facing someone who is about to do something horrible. There is probably a sob story behind that person, but so what? Who cares? Everyone has a sob story. But all that will do is make you hesitate, and I do not want you to hesitate in killing that bitch. She almost killed me, and I will not let that rest.", Lucas said as he growled.

"We know that you have a personal element to this. She almost killed you, so you want to kill her. But when the time comes-"

"I will kill her. Nothing in this world can stop me from killing her. After I kill her, I will barge into the gates of hell, and stand guard for the next year and make sure that she stays there. She doesn't move. That is for sure.", Lucas said.

"One year?", Angela looked surprised.

"Yeah, one year seems a bit much doesn't it? I will just have a word with the gods of the underworld instead, and make sure that they wouldn't want to have that talk with the gods.", Lucas said.
