The Alpha's Return

Chapter 37 - Plan To Go In

"You were here the whole time? You were waiting for us? Damn, you touched my heart man.", Michael called out Lucas. Lucas was slowly walking out of the depths of the building. Step by step, he became slowly visible.

His clothes were dripping in blood, and his face was just not the same anymore. His eyes were a glaring red, and it did not change back this time. This time, it seemed like they were here to stay.

He walked out and towards the council members. All of them looked at him with their hands at their weapons. Lucas, however, did not say a thing. He kept walking until he got near them. He sighed as he looked forward, and towards the entrance to this alley.

.

"I could feel Angela do her, you know, vampire thing.", he said, chuckling. Then, he looked at Arthur and Michael. "I could hear the two of you bickering, like an old couple.". Then, he looked up into the air, and his hands, which were by his side, started trembling.

"I am losing control, guys. I am losing total control. Fenrir does not seem to be the problem. It is that deep and primitive desire inside of him that is controlling me. He has been more than helpful to me over the decades, but that bloodlust that literallly runs through his soul can never be erased. And now, it is within me. I am afraid that if I do not go inside, and if I do not go all out, then things could get worse than if I did.", he said as he turned to look face to face with Praneeth. They were just inched apart, and Lucas stared at Praneeth's forehead.

"Where is your eye? Sleeping? I thought that it enjoyed this sort of drama.", Lucas joked.

Praneeth shook his head, and looked at Lucas. His eyes, still red, glinted in the sunlight. "I wanted to say God will take care of our troubles. That was my go to line for centuries. But sadly, I cannot say that in your case Lucas. I am sorry. This is not my battle to fight. We will be there, but we will have to go against you if innocent blood spills.", he shook his head.

"I am going in now. It will be a long ordeal. I am sure that all of you can sense that there are a lot of powerful souls inside the building behind me. I took the pleasure of doing my own round of recon. This is quite the fortress that Peter holed up in. There are many werewolves for one, but more importantly, most of them are true werewolves. Not the stupid bitten betas and heriditary alphas. These are true and blue werewolves. Descendants of the moon, you could call them. None of them could pose a threat to me if I went all out, or any of you either, but this is hardly the place where someone like me could go full throttle.", Lucas said.

"What do you mean recon though? I know you Lucas. And why has no one asked him this. What the hell did you do to Midnite? His bar in shambles, and he was muttering like he was goddamn crazy.", Michael went upto Lucas and grabbed his shoulder. "What about the blood stains on your clothes and the dirt on your face? That just doesn't appear for no reason. What happened here Lucas?"

"What did you expect happened?", Lucas held Michael's hand and pushed it away. He backed a little and set his collar straight. "Do you think that this place is just going to be that easy to walk into? I did some spring cleaning or you would be knee deep in some trouble by now.", he said.

"You already spilt first blood?", Raphael's eye brow raised.

"What? Don't act so surprised. You can smell it already can't you? Corpses littered all over the basement, and none of you can sense it? What happened? Praneeth. I thought that atleast you would tell them.", Lucas said. "You knew that I was here, but you didn't see the corpses?"
